4 PO Box 6033, Rotorua, New Zealand THIS ACTIVITY IS DESIGNED TO PROMOTE LISTENING AND COMMUNICATION SKILLS WHILE ENCOURAGING TRUST AMONGST MEMBERS. FORWARD PLANNING AND BRIEFING IS ESSENTIAL TEAMS MUST WORK TOGETHER IN GROUPS TO ERECT AN ENTIRE ARMY CAMPSITE. HALF OF THE MEMBERS OF EACH GROUP WILL BE BLINDFOLDED. ONLY THOSE BLINDFOLDED MAY TOUCH THE EQUIPMENT THEREFORE THEY MUST LISTEN AND FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY TO ACHIEVE RESULTS IN THIS ACTIVITY. THOSE NOT BLINDFOLDED MUST COMMUNICATE CLEARLY AND EFFECTIVELY AND ESTABLISH TRUST TO GUIDE TEAMMATES TO SUCCESSFULLY ERECT THE CAMPSITE.

5 PO Box 6033, Rotorua, New Zealand 2 3 hour team activity that has teams of 6-10 battling to complete the Treasure Hunt and set up their catapult first. Teams start with a compass, a series of decoding cards, and a clue. Decipher the code to get to the next Treasure Bag. Collect a Treasure bag at each point containing a vital clue and a piece needed for your catapult. Activities along the way may require the whole team, or a chosen 2 or 3. Points given at each activity contribute to overall team score. distance. At the end, teams must assemble the catapult and fire the items given to get the longest OPTIONAL BIG BANG EXTRA: fire at a target loaded with explosives until it blows up!

6 The team is not going to make it back to base in time tonight. You will have to set up camp now. It is already getting dark so dark that half of your team members already cannot see... The object of this activity is to erect an entire army campsite. The team breaks into smaller groups. Half of the members of each group are blindfolded. Only those blind folded are allowed to touch the equipment. Those not blindfolded must communicate clearly and effectively and guide teammates to successfully erect the campsite. This activity is designed to promote listening and communication skills while encouraging trust amongst members. Forward planning and briefing is essential.

Can be tailored to suit your specific group. 1: Load equipment and get it to set-up area. 2: Create raft using supplied equipment. 3: Sink or Float! Race around buoy and back to get the best time. Hit a golf ball into a numbered circle. Each number corresponds with a food that must be eaten. Types of food may vary from chocolate bars to sheep tongues. Can include company product in this activity. Teams compete at different activities, collecting as much water as possible throughout course as it will be needed for the final activity.

10 PO Box 6033, Rotorua, New Zealand BASIC TRAINING Two-part activity with a focus on brainstorming, teamwork, strategy, and listening carefully. Part one: think about the task set, and come up with the best way to go about it. Part two: complete a mini obstacle course, within the guidelines set. M*A*S*H* CAMPSITE Designed to promote listening and communication skills while encouraging trust amongst members. Each group must move a set of equipment to their area, and erect their campsite. The catch: half of each group are blindfolded, and only those blindfolded may touch the equipment. ROPE BRIDGE Created to encourage teamwork, listening and clue-finding. Teams follow a manual (complete with diagrams) to construct a rope swing bridge across a ravine. Once constructed the team must transport a product across the ravine.

11 PO Box 6033, Rotorua, New Zealand Pistol Shooting Smith & Wesson Revolvers. 177 gas-powered guns give you the feel & excitement of shooting a pistol. Shooting at a target of a wild rabbit or crow. Points are scored on where you hit the animal. Knife Throwing Look easy, sounds easy, but is it easy? Throwing at a target about 5 metres away. This is one of our hardest activities that everyone thinks will be easy. Stock Whips All can have cracking good time - trying to be coordinated at the same time as trying to make the whip crack! This activity is more funny for the people watching than those playing! Axe Throwing Using Double Headed Throwing Axes it is a challenge to get it to stick into our target situated about 6 meters away. Points scored depending on where it sticks in the log of wood. Archery Using high performance compound bows (modern version of the Robin Hood bows) this medieval game of Archery has become very popular and is very enjoyable. Points gained by hitting a target about 20 metres away. Mechanical Bucking Bull OSH Safety Approved Bull. Speed Controlled, giving complete control on the ride, and suitable for every rider s ability. Short Golf Rotorua s only short golf course. Here s your chance to have a go at golf without the worries of the big course. Our course is a 9-hole course ranging from meters. All clubs are supplied. Lasersport New Zealand s first electronic clay target shooting system. Enjoy the thrill and excitement of shooting without the danger of bullets. Five people shooting at once, all firing at the same target. Scores recorded on electronic scoreboard. Fast, competitive and safe. Skill Shoot, Rapid Fire and Speed Shoot games options.
