2 The Humane Society of Broward County Our Mission: The Humane Society of Broward County provides shelter, aid and responsible adoptions to animals entrusted to our care, and educates the community about respect and kindness to all animals. 3 What Big Dog Golf Tournament Supports: Adoptions: Over 7,300 animals placed into loving new homes each year Adoption counselors help match the right pets with prospective adopters Education: Education programs reach over 150,000 children and adults each year Humane Education is part of science curriculum in Broward County School System for grades K-5 Partnerships includes Boys & Girls Clubs of Broward County, Girl Scouts of Broward County, local public and private schools (including schools that educate mentally challenged children and adults), Broward County Libraries Wags N Tales Reading Program helps children improve their aptitude and increase their selfconfidence by reading to dogs Community Outreach partnerships with Women in Distress and Broward Sheriff s Office Pet Loss & Grieving: Free professional counseling for those grieving the death of a pet Animal Assisted Therapy: Each year approximately 100 volunteers make over 4,000 visits with dogs to nursing homes, hospitals, children s wards, and other facilities throughout Broward County Visits from four-legged friends have been proven to raise the spirits of children and adults of all ages and stages of care, helping to improve their health, independence and quality of life Foster Care: Program for healthy animals that are too young to be placed for adoption Currently we have over 80 volunteer foster families Low cost Spay/Neuter Services and Vaccine Clinics Provided over 11,000 spay/neuter surgeries to public owned animals in 2015 Our newest mobile spay/neuter facility, the FORT, goes around the community bringing low cost spay/neuter to those who need it around Broward County Vaccine clinics are offered to provide low cost vaccines to the public Vaccinated approximately 5,700 animals

4 About the Tournament Fort Lauderdale County Club South Course 6,286 yards* - Par 72 North Course 6,345 yards* - Par 72 Format Team Putt Shamble: All players on a team tee off and play their own ball until all members on the team are on the green. At this point One ball is selected to hole the ball. The selected ball would be the closest to the hole or the best ball decided by handicap. After one ball is selected the other players pick up their ball, and the player whose ball is selected putts. If the ball is not holed then a second person performs the next putt and each take a turn until the ball is holed. The selected ball players score is the team score for that hole. Eighty (80%) of each players's handicap will be used. Maximum handicap is 36 (28.8), players without a verifiable handicap will be given a 26 (20.8). All teams are expected to finish their rounds within four hours. Muttigans Giving Pets a Second Shot 2 per player allowed.
