Darwin does not have daylight saving and in winter is the same time as Adelaide which is ½ hour behind both Melbourne and Sydney. (a) For the July holidays Sandie is travelling to Darwin. She leaves Melbourne at 10.20am and flies for 1 hour before she has a ¾ hour stopover in Adelaide. Her journey then continues for a further 3½ hours. What time will she arrive in Darwin? (b) Kato left Darwin at Christmas for a 5½ hour flight direct to Sydney. If he left at 8.35am what time will he arrive? 2. Find the area of these shapes: 3.
