5 Friday 13 th October (Finals Day) 7:30am No 1-4 v 3 No 1-2 v 1 No 5-8 v 7 No 5-6 v 5 Format: Teams of 6 girls under 21 years of age with the 3 lowest handicap players playing matchplay off the stick and the other three players playing in handicap order matchplay off handicap. Interim Tournament Rules which will be reviewed and ratified at the delegates meeting at the lodge are as follows: 1. The Tournament shall be under the control of the Bay of Plenty Golf Inc and the Delegates Meeting shall take place on Thursday after dinner. 2. A team shall consist of 6 amateur female golfers under the age of 21 years on the first day of the tournament. 3. The three lowest handicapped players will play matchplay off the stick and the other three players will play off handicap in handicap order, maximum handicap of Players shall be eligible to represent the District Association of the club at which they are handicapped as of closing date of entries. 5. The closing date of entries shall be 2 months prior to the commencement of the tournament. 6. Each District Association which has entered a team shall give notice in writing to Bay of Plenty Golf of the personnel and playing order of its team, and such notice shall reach the office of Bay of Plenty Golf by Monday the week prior to the commencement of the tournament. Any changes to team order maybe advised up to 5.00pm on Thursday prior to the tournament. Changes after that time will be as per rule If a member of a team becomes unable to play by reason of illness, injury or other sufficient cause, she may be replaced by a reserve for any game. The reserve will go into the 6th position with all other players

6 moving up. Should the team member who has been replaced be able to resume playing team positions will revert to the original order. 8. Each team is permitted to appoint 2 Managers who may give advice, (including pointing out line of putting) to members of that team. Such persons shall be identified to the committee prior to the start of the competition. 9. The use of motorized carts is not permitted. 10. Distance measuring devices which comply with the rules of golf may be used. 11. Teams receiving 2 points for a win and 1 point for a half. Individual games finished all square shall not be continued. Two points for a BYE 12. Where more than one team finishes with the same number of points pool Ranking to be decided as follows: (a) number of games. (b) Who beat who If two top teams are still tied the pool winner will be decided by a sudden death play-off between two players nominated by their Managers. To be reviewed subject to number of teams competing. 13. Finals Day Friday: 8 v 7, 6 v5, 4 v3, 2v1 to determine final placings 14. In the event of any round being disrupted by rain or for any other reason, the following procedure will apply where rounds are not completed. (a) Any players who have completed more than 9 holes the result will be as per the state of the match at the time of the suspension. (b) Any player who has not completed 9 holes will be deemed to have halved their match. 15. All players are to attend the prize-giving ceremony in uniform. 16. The draw for the tournament shall be made by Bay of Plenty Golf who in following years will seed the draw in accordance with the finishing position of each team from the preceding tournament.

7 17. The number of entries accepted will be determined by the host district. 18. The rules of play shall be the rules of golf and the local rules of the host club. 19. No caddies will be allowed, apart from either the team manager or players from the same team who have completed their match or the reserve from that team. 20. The organising committee is the committee appointed by Bay of Plenty Golf. 21. Disputes Committee. A disputes committee shall be formed made up of 4 nominees from the competing districts at the Managers meeting on Monday. 22. The Tournament Director will convene a meeting of all Managers on Monday after the Tournament Dinner. 23. At the Tournament Dinner (Monday) all Captains will be asked to introduce their teams and Managers. 24. All teams will stay at the Four Canoes where breakfasts and dinners (other than the Tournament Dinner) will be provided.
