2 CONDITIONS OF COMPETITION OTP BANK 39 th HUNGARIAN AMATEUR OPEN GOLF CHAMPIONSHIP August 2017 Pannonia Golf & Country Club, Máriavölgy The Hungarian Golf Federation has the pleasure to invite you to the OTP Bank 39 th Hungarian Amateur Open Golf Championship Organiser: Conditions of Competition: Date: Venue: Hungarian Golf Federation The tournament will be played in accordance with the Rules of Golf as approved by The R & A Rules Ltd, the General Conditions of Competitions of the Hungarian Golf Federation and in accordance with the local rules of the Royal Balaton Golf & Yacht Club as approved by the Championship Committee August 2017 (3 days) Pannonia Golf & Country Club, Máriavölgy Entry Deadline: Sunday, 6 August 2017, 23:59 Payment Deadline: 7 August 2017 Entry Fee: Men, women: 150,- EUR / person The entry fee includes: - entry fee; - green fees for the practice day (1) and for the competition days (3), 4 in total; - snack package and mineral water for the competition days (3); - participation in the gala dinner Entry: Registration: Entry Process: From the year of 2015 players have to apply online to a tournament organized by the Hungarian Golf Federation through the HGF s website or offline with a filled in entry form attached in this information brochure. Players must first register on the website before they can apply to the tournament. After filling the registration form an , sent to the player s address will confirm the successful registration. Only one player is allowed to register with the same address and only one player can apply to the tournament through that address. It is not possible to enter more than one player from the same address. Players have to log in with the address and password that was previously registered. If the player has not registered previously, first has to register online! After log in the player must fill in the Entry form which could be find in the 2

3 Championships menu, under the name of the current competition. After filling the entry form the player has to finalize the entry by clicking on to the Send Entry button. The system will than send a confirmation about the successful entry. The entry fee must be paid latest to the deadline of the entry by bank transfer. The registration and the payment must be done before the competition, nor will the registration nor the payment be accepted on the spot. Confirmation: After the entry fee arrived the player will receive a confirmation with the following text: Registration confirmed: Your entry is approved by the Hungarian Golf Federation to the OTP BANK 38th HUNGARIAN AMATEUR OPEN GOLF CHAMPIONSHIP. Those players entry that do not pay the entry fee on time will be cancelled. Entry withdrawal: Form of Play: Players may withdraw their entry according to the Point 8 of the General Terms and Conditions of the Competitions of HGF. To withdraw the entry the player has to go to the website and click to the withdrawal button at the current tournament under the Manage my registrations menu. Afterwards the Federation and the player will receive an to confirm the successful withdrawal. Individual Stroke Play over 54 (3x18) holes Cut: There will be a cut after 36 holes in both categories. The best 57 male and 21 female players and those with equivalent scores will be qualified for the third round. Eligibility: All Hungarian and foreign amateur male or female golfers who possess an official card issued by and whose club is an affiliated member of their respective national federation. The number of players is a maximum of 114 including both categories. If the number of entries exceeds 114, entries of players with the lowest HCPs will be accepted by the Championship Committee considering the proportionate number of players entered each category. Wild Card: The Hungarian Golf Federation reserves the right to award 4 wild cards. 3

4 HCP Limit and Use: Members of Clubs affiliated to the HGF Men HCP limit: Exact HCP 14,0 Women HCP limit: Exact HCP 16,0 Men up to EHCP 18,0 and women up to EHCP 20,0 can enter a reserve list. Should the number of players not reach 114, entrants with the lowest EHCPs will be eligible to play from the reserve list. Members of Clubs NOT affiliated to the HGF Men HCP limit: Exact HCP 8,0 Women HCP limit: Exact HCP 12,0 Only those players are eligible to enter the competition whose HCP can be verified by the HGF. Members of foreign clubs are required to present a confirmation of their HCP issued by their respective clubs. Championship Committee: Referees: Prizes: Bodor Tibor, dr.tasi László, Cservák László, Harnos László Bodor Tibor, Cservák László, Rakács György The Prizes of the OTP Bank 39 th Hungarian Open Amateur Golf Championship will be as follows in both Men s and Women s Categories: 1 st, 2 nd, 3 rd place Male Champion in 2016: Horváth Marcell (Hungary) Female Champion in 2016: Hana Mimik (Slovania) Tees: Men: men's back tee (white ) Women: women's back tee (blue) Starting will be from the 1 st tee and, if required, from the 10 th tee subject to the number of participants. Information about tee-times will be available at the reception of the club (tel.: ) from 4:00 p.m., 9 August 2017 and they will be published on Tee-times for the 2 nd and 3 rd competition days will be announced by the Championship Committee the day before at 8 p.m. Order of Play: Starting on the 1 st competition day will be based on EHCPs in ascending order, on the 2 nd competition day based on the competitors score after 18 holes in ascending order and on the 3 rd day players with the highest aggregate scores (based on the results of the first two days) in descending order tee off first. Flights composition will be based on categories. 4

5 Decision of Ties: Score Cards: Deadline for Claims: Award Ceremony: In the event of a tie for the first place the winner will be decided by a hole by hole playoff ( sudden-death ) on holes defined by the Championship Committee. For any further ties, the scores of the last 18, 36, 9, 6, 3, 1 holes shall be considered. Any further tie will be decided by computer lot. After completion of the round, the competitor should check his score for each hole and settle any doubtful points with the Committee. He must ensure that the marker or markers have signed the score card, sign the score card himself and return it to the Committee as soon as possible, at the reception of the club house. No alteration may be made on a score card after the competitor has returned it to the Committee. Claims must be indicated in writing within one hour after the completion of the tournament. Players playing on the practice day should pay the entry fee. Competition Days: 1 st Competition Day Friday, 11 August st round 18 holes 2 nd Competition Day Saturday, 12 August nd round 18 holes Gala dinner (time of starting will be announced later) Players are kindly requested to indicate their intention to participate in the dinner on the entry form. Dress Code: elegant. Venue: Pannonia Golf & Country Club 3 rd Competition Day Sunday, 13 August rd round 18 holes Prize giving ceremony Caddie: Golf Carts: In accordance with the General Conditions of the Competitions of the HGF Golf Professionals including golf trainers are not allowed to act as caddie. For junior players (up to 18 years) are also allowed to help a caddie. The use of golf carts is allowed only in accordance with the General Conditions of Competition of the Hungarian Golf Federation. Senior golfers above the age of 70 are allowed to use golf carts and their results will be considered. Any other player are allowed to use golf cart but their result does not count. The Hungarian Golf Federation reserves the right to amend the conditions of competition. 5
