2 OUR GOAL...
3 OUR GOAL! 01 TO BRING YOU THE BEST SURFACE FOR ANY SPORT. Playrite are a division of National Floorcoverings group of companies with a combined expertise in all areas of flooring. A UK, family owned business dating back to 1873, National Floorcoverings is a company steeped in heritage and tradition. Twenty years ago, Playrite branched out as its own division to fulfil a niche in the market for a company to develop, design and manufacture surfacing for sports and leisure. Today we are not the only company to do this, but we are the only UK company to manufacture needlepunch, tufted and woven surfaces all from our home in the beautiful Yorkshire countryside. A trusted UK-based manufacturer of surfaces for sport, play and leisure Established for over 20 years we offer choice, quality and performance Our company has ISO9001 and ISO14001 quality standards Our products are accredited by sports governing bodies and British Standards agencies You will find our products being used across the world on a daily basis Woven loom Needlepunch surface production On site manufacturing
4 02 OUR GOAL! OUR MANUFACTURING PROCESSES. Needlepunch is a wholly fibre based product, where layers of fibre are needled together to create a pile to suit the individual sport. The unique benefits of a needlepunch surface are maximum porosity within a sports surface product, durable and hardwearing with a minimum sand content. This lower sand content makes for lower maintenance costs and overall lower costs over the lifespan of the surface compared to other synthetic sports surfaces. With stronger seam strength and adhesion to the surface this product is ideal for all kinds of sports and for installation into numerous establishments. Woven surface production Tufted is a dual component surface created by punching fibre through a primary backing to create a U shaped tuft. For stability and performance, all tufted carpets require an infill, either sand, rubber or a combination of both which will require regular maintenance to keep their performance standards. A tufted carpet is the only option for football and rugby as it creates a longer pile surface to match the performance criteria of football, rugby and GAA. Aesthetically, it is nearer to a natural grass look. And is how our Nearlygrass is manufactured. A Woven Surface is created by weaving the backing yarn and pile yarn together as one. This method of construction offers a highly stable, non-directional product with extreme porosity parameters and integral strength. The major benefits of a woven surface are its non-directional pile, giving consistent ball roll and strength throughout the whole product. Tufted surface production Conqueror
