2 G ame changers Recent Canadian Projects There have been a number of significant innovations in outdoor sport surface technology in recent years and Centaur is very proud to be bringing these advancements in player safety, athlete performance, product durability and sustainability to the Canadian marketplace. Leading the way in this field, Polytan, a German synthetic sports surfacing manufacturer, has been developing the most cuttingedge technology in synthetic turf and track applications that exists in the world today. Polytan has been redefining the expectations for quality and performance in the sports surfacing industry and as Polytan s exclusive Canadian partner, Centaur is very excited to be bringing these innovations to our Canadian customers. / Some of these innovations include: the development of ecofriendly infill materials for synthetic turf, improvements in shock pad safety, the development of Infra-red reflection technology to lower the temperature of the surfaces on hot days, among many others. This booklet reviews some recent examples in Canada where Centaur has installed Polytan products. St. Andrew s College Centaur worked with St. Andrew s College on a very impressive project, that is still underway, but when finished will feature a Polytan LigaTurf RS+ synthetic turf system surrounded by a Polytan PUR track. This is the same synthetic turf system that was selected for the recent renovation of Vancouver s BC Place. It is a premium synthetic turf product and the best available on the market today. Country Day School Dome Country Day School also has installed two Polytan LigaTurf fields both with excellent results as well as Crescent School has installed a Polytan synthetic turf field and a Polytan track on their campus. In addition to the high-performance synthetic turf surfaces installed throughout the country, Centaur also worked with The York School to install a unique synthetic turf surface used for general recreational areas.
