Mill Ridge is an exception, for our son Price is the sixth generation. Without a doubt, the example of talent, leadership and passion from my grandfather Hal Price Headley, and mother Alice Chandler, has inspired us with Keeneland, and Mill Ridge, their lasting treasures. eir example has provided guidance to Price and me as we assist with the build out of Horse Country, an industry initiative to open up our farms to tourism, and growing our fan base. Mom says, If you let the horse breathe on you you will fall in love forever. After 37 years of working with Mill Ridge, Duncan Macdonald will tell you that Alice Chandler has been his inspiration and motivation to be the best we could be. Duncan leads by example, and provides the foundation for his team who have called Mill Ridge home on average 20+ years. Knowing Mill Ridge is in good hands, Duncan is going to step down after the September sale in order to enjoy some travel and rewards. We are pleased for Marc Richardson, with whom we have worked for so long, to carry on his responsibilities as Farm Manager. Duncan Macdonald, Farm Manager e nucleus of our Mill Ridge staff has been with us on average over 20 years, led by Farm Manager Duncan Macdonald, for 37 years. He is as fine a horseman as exists today, and goes unrecognized to the general public. Duncan is like many pictured here who joined the Mill Ridge family and never left.
