2 OPPORTUNITY I KOPITAR In 2015, Little Red Feather Racing and its partners enjoyed a season like no other in the company s 14 year history. The LRF stable earned a record $1.9M in purses and a big part of the success was attributed to trainer Phil D Amato. D Amato and LRF teamed up with stakes winners Midnight Storm and Sheer Pleasure as well as promsing fillies, Bellamentary and RiRi. When D Amato and Bloodstock Agents Jeff and Kathleen Hebert presented LRF with a private sale of a well-bred twoyear-old prospect, we were all ears. We are proud to present our first two-year-old opportunity of 2016, KOPITAR. Named after the sliky smooth Los Angeles Kings super star center, Kopitar is a grey, two-year-old Kentucky-bred colt by Classic winner, Shackfleford out of the Siberian Express mare, Siberian Fur. He is currently in training on the Heberts farm. He is a well balanced, scopey, athletic colt, Kathleen Hebert said. From day one, he was all business and we always thought California would suit him best. We are so excited about him, we bought 10% of him as well! Kopitar is from the first crop of Shackleford, a three-time GI winner of over $3M. Shackleford is one of only four horses in history - including Native Dancer - to win both the Preakness Stakes and the Met Mile. His first crop of foals are sure to make a splash at the upcoming two-year-old sales this spring. 2 Opportunity

3 It s no secret we purchase a lot of fillies because of their inherent residual value, said LRF Managing Partner Gary Fenton. But we know many of our partners want that DREAM of having a very special colt, who might run in the Triple Crown races... like his dad! Kopitar will arrive at the Phil D Amato barn in Southern California around April 1 and should be ready in plenty of time before the Del Mar summer meet, which commences on July 15. Jeff and Kathleen have a great eye for a horse as witnessed by Gloryzapper and Forever Darling, said Phil D Amato. This guy looks like a very precocious colt and comes from a great female family. 5 TRAINER I PHILIP D AMATO Philip D Amato is one of the best young trainers in the business. Phil studied under Del Mar s all-time leading trainer, Mike Mitchell, for ten years and has already proven that he is ready to be a force in Southern California for years to come. 7 PEDIGREE ANALYSIS I KOPITARI Kopitar hails from the first crop of Triple Grade 1 winner of over $3 million Shackelford. The 2011 GI Preakness Stakes winner was the leading money earner of his crop at three and an Eclipse Award finalist for Champion 3YO. Shackleford captured sire-making races such as the aforementioned Preakness Stakes (G1) as well as the Met Mile (G1) and Clark Handicap (G1). A son of Forestry, Shackleford remains the only American Classic winner by a son of Storm Cat. Shackleford was a very durable and sound racehorse, who could carry his speed as far a 9 1/2 furlongs, Shackelford earned a 115 Beyer Speed figure which was the fastest of its kind up to a mile in all of Kopitar is out of the Grade 1 producing mare Siberian Fur, whose accomplishments in her own right fill an entire catalogue page. She has produced a 4-time Grade 1 winner on the dirt, Spoken Fur and a multiple graded stakes winner on the turf, Unbridled s Note. The immediate family continues to be a black type factory as multiple daughters of Siberian Fur are now producing stakes winners all throughout North America. 9 BLOODSTOCK AGENT I THE HEBERTS Bloodstock Agents Jeff and Kathleen Hebert are based in Vinton Louisiana (home of Delta Downs) and are lifelong Thoroughbred horse people. Jeff cut his teeth at the world famous Louisiana match tracks before making the move to quarter horses and then back to thoroughbreds. Kathleen was born and raised in South Texas where her family had a major Thoroughbred breeding operation, including a small string of race horses based in So Cal, including world record setter and granddam of Storm Cat, Crimson Saint. Needless to say the love of the Thoroughbred racehorse runs deep in our blood, Kathleen quips. Over the years we have experienced and participated in every aspect of the game from broodmares to pinhooking to consigning twoyear-olds to breaking and training to, of course, racing. Currently, the Hebert s main focus is acquiring, developing, and managing top young horses such as GI winners Street Fancy and Sahara Sky as well as recent GII winner Forever Darling. We are just happy to be part of the team, Kathleen goes on to say. 11 TRANSPARENCY I KOPITAR I 2yo The hallmarks of LRF are communication and transparency. We understand investing in horses is risky. Who you invest with matters. As with any industry, conflicts of interest arise and LRF adheres to strict protocols in dealing with such conflicts. These protocols are based on transparency, including the full disclosure of commissions. Kopitar was purchased privately from Beechwood Racing LLC, who also bred the colt. Beechwood Racing sold 80% of its interest in the colt to LRF and another 10% of its interest to Hebert Bloodstock, who also represented Beechwood in the deal with LRF. Hebert Bloodstock did not represent LRF in this transaction nor did LRF pay or receive any commission in connection with the colt. Kopitar will run in the LRF silks and the ownership will be listed as Little Red Feather Racing, Hebert Bloodstock, and Beechwood Racing LLC. With its 80% interest the LRF partnership will have majority control over the racing and breeding career of the colt. 11 Transparency

12 PARTNER BENEFITS I LRF The most important part of the LRF Experience is communication with our partners. Each partner receives daily/weekly s detailing all of their horse s activities, including photos and videos from workouts. Our communication is always timely and specific and we make sure all of our partners are consistently informed about everything horse related... from upcoming races to recaps immediately following a race. We make sure every possible issue is clearly explained and make ourselves available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to insure that our partners know exactly what is going on with their horses. The key to LRF s success is the unequivocal attention paid to each partner. LRF provides owner seats on race day at every race track. LRF also provides total access for partners, who may visit their horses anytime, including to watch morning workouts.
