6 REFERENCES Long Term Success G&C McLeod, Warrnambool, Victoria The first pigeons we purchased from Greg Hamilton in 2002 were children of the Goldmine Cock which we wanted to cross into pigeons we had previously purchased directly from John Pryor. These birds were immediately successful particularly in the harder races. In more recent years we have secured some Van Loon based pigeons from Greg and one in particular, Pandora (a double fed placed hen), has been outstanding. Pandora has produced (directly and via her children) many winners and high placed birds in the last couple of years after already leaving her mark in Greg's loft. There is no doubt Greg is one of Australia's foremost pigeon fanciers. His results speak for themselves. Greg also has excellent stock sense - he knows where to source top pigeons and how to mate them. We wish Greg well for his upcoming sales. Graeme & Chris McLeod, Warrnambool Long Distance Success K&K Watson-SAHPA, Adelaide, South Australia A few years ago I was fortunate to be given a pigeon bred by Greg from his Pryor-Goodger stock. This pigeon s offspring has been an outstanding addition to my loft and others. In 2011 his daughter finished 1st Alice Springs LDC clocked 6:53am next day approx. 3 ½ hours in front of the next Adelaide pigeon. In 2012 another daughter finished 3rd SAHPA Coober Pedy, only beaten by two of Greg s pigeons. In 2013 a granddaughter finished 8th SAHPA Holbrook Open for Alan Agar with only 24 pigeons clocked next day and only 32 pigeons overall. This pigeon is also the sire of Greg s super pigeon Formula 1 sire of equal Bird of The Year 2013 when bred with champion Vintage Crop Greg s ability in selection of breeding for stock and racing is outstanding not just from my own experience as shown above but his records in the past years, he has raised the bar in Australian pigeon racing with his relentless quest for excellence and has given others the opportunity to share in the results. Many years ago I entered this fantastic sport of racing pigeons, but was very disappointed to not get birds home, with great losses. I then read an ad in the journal of race teams for sale about proven winning birds. The birds of Greg Hamilton, in Horsham. After reading the article, my wife and I made the trek to Horsham. We met Greg and Leanne, and struck up a great friend ship. We purchased the race team, but then I was gifted birds and lent some great stock. We left there with so much knowledge. The following year I had instant success. Many years have passed by now and I have purchased some great stock over the years. Following his lead, he has great stock sense, and is a master pigeon breeder and racer. He has an amazing passion and attitude to pigeons, and has been driven by increasing his knowledge of pigeons traveling overseas on numerous occasions. He loves to share this and has no secrets. He challenges himself and sets goals every year. The advice and mentorship from Greg has put me at the top in both club and state wide events. I have won out of turn with these fantastic birds.
