One entry per horse/rider combination. Post entries will be accepted on a space available basis with late fee. ALL COMPETITORS MUST SUBMIT WITH THEIR ENTRY, PROOF OF CURRENT FLU/RHINO VACCINATIONS WITHIN 6 MONTHS OF SHOW. A CURRENT COGGINS WITHIN 12 MONTHS OF SHOW DATE MUST ALSO BE SUBMITTED. EQUINE ENTERING ARIZONA MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY A CURRENT CERTIFICATE OF VETERINARY INSPECTION WTHIN 30 DAYS OF ENTRY.

2 On-Line Entries: Visit EquestrianEntries.com on opening day of competition. The signature page, Coggins and flu/rhino documentation may be uploaded in Equestrian Entries and submitted with show entry, ed separately to Show Secretary (prior to your receipt of Fox Village entry ) or presented at check-in. You can also use this system to fill out show entries and mail a check to Show Secretary at no cost. Mail Entries: Complete entries (All signatures, Coggins, flu/rhino vaccination documentation and payment) to be mailed to the Show Secretary. No phone or entries please. Make checks payable to TCD and mail to Paula Madden, E Conestoga Pl, Tucson, AZ A $50 NSF fee will be charged for all returned checks. Entry Cancellation/Refunds: Office fee is not refundable. Entries with written cancellation on or before the closing date will receive 100% refund of all fees minus the $20 office fee. NO REFUNDS after original Closing Date even if Closing date is extended. Entries must be received by 6:00 pm on the closing date. Non-Compete Horses: must complete entry form for number. Stabling, haul in & office fee required. Ride Times: Preliminary ride times and a show schedule will be available on TDC s website, no later than Wednesday before the show. An entry confirmation will be e- mailed to rider. s must be valid and readable. It is the responsibility of the rider to inform the management of any time conflicts as soon as possible after receiving the schedule. No Shows: All No Shows that have not contacted the show office will be considered a scratch for the rest of the show and time slots may be filled. Scratches During Show: Competitors have responsibility to inform the Show Secretary in the Show Office of their intent to scratch a ride prior to the scheduled ride time. Scratches will not be accepted at the competition arena or with the Ring Steward. Scratches are not refundable. Test of Choice classes: If competitor wishes to ride the same test twice in the same day, they may enter the regular class, for example Training 2 and Test of Choice --Training, test 2. Management reserves the right to move people in or out of these classes. Test of Choice will be pinned by division, not test. Freestyle will be pinned by test not division. Opportunity Classes: Will be offered at Training Level tests 1 and 2 and First Level tests 1 and 2. Opportunity classes are intended to introduce competitors to showing at USEF/USDF licensed shows without incurring additional membership fees. They are for entry level riders. Competitors showing only in opportunity classes are exempt from USDF and USEF membership, horse and drug fees. Classes are pinned Junior and All Other. These classes do not count toward high point, year-end, USEF or USDF awards. Exhibition Classes: Classes that are not USEF or FEI tests. Prices apply to Horse or Tack Stall. No initial bedding is provided and must be purchased on entry form or at the show office. Competitors are responsible for stall damage. When not stabling, a haull-in fee of $20 per date is charged. Stabling requests honored when possible. All horses on site overnight must be stabled. *If you are competing in the Fall Festival I & II AND Fall Festival Western Dressage, stabling requests and fees should be entered on the entry for Fall Festival I show only. Stable Groups: If stabling with a group, provide one name to identify the group on each entry form for that group. Late entries with stabling requests will be honored if possible. However, late entries may not be stabled with their requested group after the stabling charts have been finalized, published and submitted to the venue. Bedding is $12.00 per bag. May be preordered on the entry form or from the show office. No guarantee of same day delivery if ordered after 2:00 pm. No outside bedding is allowed. Shavings only, no straw. Early arrivals: Noon Thursday, Rings are not available until Friday morning. Special permission is needed to arrive early, contact the Show Secretary. $50 additional Stall/Tack Stall fee applies. Smoking is prohibited in stall areas.

4 Use sharps containers provided in barns. Competition management may fine any individuals including trainers, owners, exhibitors or their agents up to $100 for improper disposal of needles or other sharp disposable instruments. ARENAS/FOOTING: Competition arenas are 20m X 60m with sand/dirt footing mixture. A sand/dirt footing mixture arena is available for warm-up, with a separate longing area. Longing is allowed only in the designated longing area and not in the warm-up area. During the show, competition arenas will be open for hand walking only around the outside of the dressage arena up to one half hour prior to the start of the first class. Mounted schooling is permitted in the competition arenas after the end of each competition day, weather and daylight permitting. NOTE: On Friday, November 16, 2018, TDC will be hosting the half day Fall Festival Western Dressage competition on the show grounds. Competitors for the WD show will be using separate warm up and show arenas. Food/Concessions: Available on the grounds. Parking: No car of trailer parking between the barns and arenas. Trailers must be parked in the designated areas. Do not block the fire lanes north of the restrooms. Awards: Award and ribbon to 1 st place in each division, ribbon for 2 nd through 6 th place in each division. Freestyle classes are pinned Open by level. Ties will be broken per USEF DR Test of Choice- As an exception to ties as previously noted, class placing will be determined by division, ranking scores by percentage, regardless of which test is ridden within in each class. High Point Awards High point prize and ribbon will be given in the following categories: USEF Training through Second Level (T-2), USEF Third and Fourth Level (3-4) and FEI. Awards will be given to the horse/rider combination earning the highest score in each category over the two days of competition. Awards will be given for each division; Open, Adult Amateur, JR. To qualify for high point awards the horse/rider combination must be entered in both shows. Scores from Freestyle, Para Equestrian, Introductory, Opportunity, Rider, Equitation, Pony, and Lead Line classes do not count for High Point. Sound Checks for Musical Freestyle Rides: Please your music to the announcer, Tricia Tozier, at ridetriciatride@yahoo.com This is the preferred music format for best results during the show. MP3 music is not accepted. Music may be presented to the announcer as a compact disc (CD) recording but rider must also provide the electronic equipment (CD player) to play the music. The rider will also provide one representative to be present with the announcer during the freestyle ride to take responsibility for the handling and playing of the CD during the ride. Also, not a DVD recording is not the same as a CD recording for producing music. Be certain to use a CD if you do not your music to the announcer. 5 Accommodations: The Hilton Garden Inn near the Tucson Airport offers competitors a $105 room rate. Use Tucson Dressage Club code at the Holton Garden Inn for the room rate. Other hotels are also available in the same Tucson Airport area. Hilton Garden Inn 6575 S. Country Club Road, Tucson AZ Pets: (GR1301.6) Dogs are not permitted to be loose on competition grounds and must be on a leash or otherwise contained (includes stable areas). Individuals must not lead dogs on a leash while mounted. Dog owners are solely responsible for any damages, claims, losses or actions resulting from their dogs behaviors. Dog owners failing to comply with this rule may be subject to penalty under Chapters 6 and 7. No other pets or livestock other than horses allowed on grounds. Other: Show Management reserves the right to make changes including, but not limited to, cancel, split or combine classes, limit class size, change arenas, limit the number of rides and number of horses per rider and cancel, add or change judges. Show Management reserves the right to refuse any entry for cause. EVERY CLASS OFFERED HEREIN WHICH IS COVERED BY THE RULES AND SPECIFICATIONS OF THE CURRENT USEF OR FEI RULES AND WILL BE CONDUCTED AND JUDGED IN ACCORDANCE THEREWITH. It is the responsibility of the competitor to be familiar with these rules. USEF MEMBERSHIP STATEMENT: Life, senior active and junior active members shall be eligible to participate in all classes at Regular Competitions, Eventing Competitions at the Preliminary Level or above and Combined Driving Competitions at the Advanced Level, Dressage, Reining and Vaulting Competitions and Endurance Rides. A non-member may participate as a handler, rider, driver, owner, lessee, agent, coach or trainer at Regular Competitions, Eventing Competitions, Dressage Competitions, Reining Competitions and Combined Driving Competitions upon payment of a $45 Show Pass fee. Participants in the following classes are exempted from the Requirements of this rule: 1) leadline; 2) exhibitions; 3) games and races; 4) classes for 4-H members; 5) walk trot and academy classes (academy classes are classes limited to horses used regularly in a lesson program); 6) USDF introductory level tests, pas de deux and quadrille classes; 7) NRHA Endorsed Reining Competitions. 8) Opportunity classes, 9) citizens of other nations who have proof, in English, of current membership in good standing of their own National Federation, 10) USEA beginner novice division; and 11) assistant handlers in Dressage Sport Horse Breeding classes. Operation of Motorized Vehicles: USEF GR applies. Minors who do not have a valid driver s license which allows them to operate a motorized vehicle in the state in which they reside will not be permitted to operate a motorized vehicle of any kind, including, but not limited to, golf carts, motorcycles, scooters, or farm utility vehicles, on the competition grounds of licensed competitions. Minors who have a valid temporary license may operate the above described motorized vehicles as long as they are accompanied by an adult with a valid driver s license. The parent(s), legal guardian(s), or individual who signs the entry blank as a parent or guardian of a minor operating a motorized vehicle in violation of this rule are solely responsible for any damages, claims, losses or actions resulting from that operation. Violations of this rule will be cause for sanctions against the parent(s), guardian(s) and/ or trainer(s) who are responsible for the child committing the offense. Penalties may include exclusion of the child, parent(s), guardian(s), and/or trainer(s) from the competition grounds for the remainder of the competition and charges being filed against any of the above individuals in accordance with Chapter 6. Wheelchairs and other mobility assistance devices for individuals with disabilities are exempt from this rule. Disease Outbreak Rule: In the face of a disease outbreak, the show committee reserves the right to follow the AVMA (American Veterinary Medicine Association) and/or the AAEP (American Association of Equine

6 Practitioners) recommendations as to what testing would be necessary to consider a horse free from the disease in question. They also reserve the right to require written proof that said testing has been performed within the recommended period of time. If the competitor does not adhere to the requirements, the show committee can refuse entrance to the show. Some diseases are Reportable Diseases, meaning they must be reported to the State of Arizona Department of Agriculture. These diseases are subject to quarantine rules of the state. An example of one such disease is Vesicular Stomatitis. In the case of reportable diseases, a health certificate is required from an accredited veterinarian with proper statement regarding said disease to accompany the horse. Since this rule could apply to any number of diseases, and it would be impossible to list them all here, the show committee will post the testing/health certificate requirements on the sponsor web page if there is a current disease outbreak in the area.

11 USEF VACCINATION RULE GR845 Equine Vaccination Rule 1. At Federation licensed competitions horses, more than 7 months of age, entering the grounds must be accompanied by documentation of Equine Influenza Virus and Equine Herpes Virus (Rhinopneumonitis) vaccinations within six months prior to entering the stables. Horses not in compliance with this rule may be required to leave the competition grounds upon request by Competition Management. Documentation should consist of one of the following methods mentioned below. The frequency of vaccine administration should be per the vaccine manufacturers or veterinarian s recommendations. It is recommended that vaccines are administered by or under the direction of a veterinarian. 2. In the case of vaccines administered by a veterinarian, the exhibitor, upon request by Competition Management, must provide documentation from the veterinarian on documenting that the horse in question received the vaccinations; name of the vaccines and date of vaccine administration. 3. In the case of vaccines administered by a person other than a veterinarian, the exhibitor, upon request by Competition Management, must provide a receipt of the vaccine purchase which is signed by the owner, or agent with care, custody, and control of the horse; name, serial number and expiration date of the vaccine; and date of vaccine administration. 4. In the case of a horse that is unable to receive either of the vaccinations due to a history of adverse reactions, the exhibitor, upon request by Competition Management, must provide a letter from the veterinarian on official letterhead stating that the horse in question cannot be vaccinated due to medical concerns and a log of temperatures taken twice daily for the seven days prior to entering the competition grounds. These horses must also have their temperature taken and logged twice daily while on the competition grounds. The log of temperatures should be provided to the Competition Management, steward, or technical delegate when requested. 5. Competition Management may not amend or enhance vaccination requirements without prior approval of the Veterinary Committee. USEF Vaccination Rule: All horses more than 7 months of age entering the grounds of a Federation-licensed competition must be accompanied by documentation of Equine Influenza Virus and Equine Herpes Virus (Rhinopneumonitis) vaccinations within six months prior to entering the stables. 13 USDF Membership Benefits: USDF is dedicated to education, the recognition of achievement, and promotion of dressage. For details on member benefits, including educational programs, awards, and other opportunities, refer to the USDF Member Guide or the USDF website at This competition is recognized by USDF for 2019 Membership Requirements for USEF-licensed/USDF-recognized Competitions: Owners and riders, including foreign riders and owners who are not residents of the US, wishing to participate in a USEF-licensed/USDF-recognized competition as a rider or owner/lessee, must have either a USDF Group Membership (GM), Participating Membership (PM), or have a USDF Non-Member (NM) identification number and pay the USDF Non-Member (NM) fee. (Note: USDF Business Members can own horses but cannot compete as riders with their USDF Business Membership.) Individuals cannot compete at a USEF-licensed/USDF-recognized competition with a USDF Education Membership. Horses competing at USEF-licensed/USDF-recognized competitions must have either a USDF Horse Identification (HID) number or a USDF Lifetime Horse Registration (LHR). Proper credentials or verification certificates must be presented to the competition secretary. Riders and owners wishing to participate in a USEF-licensed/USDF-recognized competition, and not able to present the competition secretary with verification of a USDF membership or NM identification, and USDF LHR or USDF HID, must complete a USDF Competition Affidavit Form and pay the $5 affidavit filing fee. A copy of a completed affidavit form from another competition may also be used for verification purposes for up to 60 days. (Exception: Affidavits cannot be used at Great American Insurance Group/USDF Regional Dressage Championships.) Exceptions: Horses competing only in Individual Breed Classes (IBCs) at DSHB competitions, sires and dams of horses in DSHB group classes, where those sires or dams are not actually competing in the same competition, horses competing only in breed restricted dressage or DSHB classes at Regular Competitions (e.g. all Arabian, all Friesian, or all Morgan classes), or in USDF Introductory Level tests, pas de deux or quadrille, are exempt from this requirement. Also exempt are horses ridden in leadline, exhibitions, games and races, classes for 4-H members, walk-trot, academy, and opportunity classes. Riders and owners/lessees competing only in classes which are exempt from the USDF HID requirements are also exempt from the USDF NM identification number and NM fee requirements. Also exempt are handlers of horses competing in DSHB In-Hand or Group classes. Memberships Defined Participating Membership (PM): A membership issued to an individual directly by USDF. The membership year is December 1 through November 30. PMs are available for 1-year ($90), 5-years ($360), or life ($1,800). A USDF Youth Participating Membership (YPM) is available for individuals who have not reached their 21 st birthday by December 1 of the current membership year ($72). A PM allows the member to compete at USEF-licensed/USDF-recognized competitions and to participate as a rider and/or owner/lessee for all Adequan /USDF Year-End Awards, USDF Breeders Championship Series Finals, the Great American Insurance Group/USDF Regional Dressage Championship program and the USDF Adult Amateur Equitation Regional program. Group Membership (GM): A membership issued to an individual by USDF when the member name and dues are submitted to USDF through an affiliate Group Member Organization (GMO). The GM year begins December 1 and ends November 30. A GM allows the member to compete at USEF-licensed/USDF-recognized competitions and participate in the USDF Rider Awards program. Business Membership (BM): A membership that runs December 1 through November 30 and is issued to a business or organization directly by USDF. The USDF BM ($240) offers a wider variety of advertising benefits. BMs satisfy requirements of horse ownership only. Education Membership (EM): A membership issued to an individual directly by USDF. This online education only membership expires 12 months after the date joined. This membership type does NOT allow an individual to compete at a USEF-licensed/USDF-recognized competition. Non-Member (NM) Identification Number: For each USDF NM owner/lessee and USDF NM rider there will be a USDF NM fee of $35 per competition that must be collected by the show secretary and submitted to USDF, along with the USDF Report of Fees document and the $5 affidavit fee and Competition Affidavit Form if the person cannot provide a copy of their USDF NM card. Owners/lessees or riders exempt from the NM number requirements are also exempt from paying the USDF NM fee. If there are multiple owners of a horse and all are NMs, only one of the owners must pay the NM fee. If the horse has at least one owner who is a current USDF PM, GM, or BM there is no NM fee assessed. Competition management will be invoiced for all applicable USDF NM fees not received with the USDF postcompetition paperwork, along with a report listing all USDF NMs. Competition management is then required to submit the NM fees within 30 days to the USDF. An individual with a USDF NM identification number is not eligible for any USDF membership benefits. Once a USDF NM number has been assigned, a USDF NM card can be obtained from the USDF website. Horse Identification (HID) Number: A one-time tracking number for horses ($35). Scores earned by a horse with an HID number will be recorded, but will NOT be counted towards Adequan /USDF Year-End Awards. A horse with an HID number is not eligible to compete in Great American Insurance Group/USDF Regional qualifying or championship classes or USDF Breeders Championship Series Finals. An HID number can be upgraded to a Lifetime Horse Registration (LHR) for a fee of $80. If a horse has a USDF LHR it does not need an HID number. An HID number is a one-time fee that does not need to be renewed. Lifetime Horse Registration (LHR): A horse with an LHR ($115) is eligible for Adequan /USDF Year-End Awards, to compete at USDF Breeders Championship Series Finals, the Great American Insurance Group/USDF Regional qualifying and championship classes, and the USDF Adult Amateur Equitation Regional program, assuming requirements for the owner and rider are met. If a horse has an LHR it does not need an HID number. An LHR does not need to be renewed. 16 ARIZONA HORSE NOMINATION FORM 2019 Arizona State Dressage Championships November 16-17, 2019, Pima County Fairgrounds, Tucson, AZ Qualifying period for 2019 State Championships: October 1, 2018 through September 30, 2019 v $25 Nomination fee must be received before qualifying scores are earned. v Once the horse has been nominated it is not necessary to pay additional qualifying fees on entries.
