1 German Shepherd Dog Club of Queensland State Breed Exhibition 13 th September 2015 Judge Mrs. Fay Stokes (NSW) I would like to thank the Queensland Club for the appointment and for their hospitality and sportsmanship however I would like to mention that whilst I found only 2 bitches in the Junior Bitch Stock Coat Class and l Intermediate Long Stock Coat bitch to be oversize I was asked to re-measure with another stick. The stick I was using is the correct SV German Measuring Stick and a brand new one, which measured absolutely correctly. It is interesting to note that the same stick was used throughout the show and as I had all the Breed Survey Reports for every Open Dog & Bitch these animals all measured exactly what it said they did on their Breed Surveys with that stick. The animals I did re-measure with another stick still came in at the same height. I realise it is disappointing both for the judge and the exhibitor when this happens. My Sieger and Reserve Sieger were both very lovely animals and well deserved their awards both in the Stock Coat and Long Stock Coat. The Siegerin was I believe also the 2014 Siegerin and well deserved the title again especially having the 1st and 2nd far above average Intermediate Bitches. The Reserve Siegerin also having a couple of placings which included the winning Minor Puppy Bitch which, in my opinion was an absolute cracker and I hope they all continue on well. As well the Long Stock Siegerin and Reserve also very beautiful bitches. SIRES PROGENY Although there were only three groups presented nevertheless they were all quality groups. *XARO VD PLASSENBURG aed H-neg (Imp Deu) The group consisted of 2 males and l0 females A far above average group of very good size, sire typical, all animals had lovely dark masking and for the most part very dark eyes. Although only 2 males they were both very masculine showing a good differential between the sexes. The group showed very good angulations of the fore and hindquarter and very good firmness of hocks and elbows for their age. What was particularly pleasing with the group was the very good underlines on most of the animals which is a problem in this country at the moment. The animals all showed a great willingness to run as does their sire and all animals held their outlines very well during movement. A very good, large group from five different litters and far above the average and the dog is to be congratulated on presenting such a large very good group in the short amount of time he has been here with two of the group having already achieved their A & Z stamp. *CH.INDIO DI CASA NOBILI HIC IPO HD-ED H-neg (Imp Italy) The group consisted of 3 males and 4 females Another very good group and again sire typical, with very good pigmentation and type and good differential between the sexes. The size varied from medium to very large, the eye colour also medium to light with good masking. The group showed good angulations of the fore and hindquarter where the upper arms could be better angled. The group showed good firmness of the hocks and elbows. The group showed good ground covering movement however the reach could have been free-er in a number of the animals. Again a very good group from 7 different litters with four of them already having achieved their A & Z stamp.

2 *ZONY VON HAUS GERSTENBERG SchHlll aed H-neg (Imp Gmy) A very small group of four bitches from four different dams. Whilst the sire is now deceased it is pleasing to see that he has left four top quality Class l Breed Surveyed animals all of whom have had very good show careers and who I am sure will go on to produce very good animals. They are strong bitches of above average quality, very good type showing very good angulations, very good strength and very good ground covering movement. A very good group. A well moulded croup spoilt by slightly high tail set. Very good forequarter angulation and very good hind angulations. Very good forechest and underline. Steps correct coming and going with firm elbows. Very good ground covering movement. 2 JEZLAHN VALESKA (*Xaro von der Plassenburg a ED (Gmy) x *Laverance Delta AZ) 8-1/2 months. Large stretched bitch. Very well pigmented. Good type. Good head and expression. Good masking, medium eye. Good length of neck into normal wither. Firm back, slightly short croup. Good angulation of forequarter. Very good hindquarter. Good forechest development. Slightly short underchest. Steps close going, OK coming. Carries her tail with a left cast. Very good head and expression. Dark masking and eyes. Good length of neck into normal wither. Firm back and well moulded croup. Good forequarter angulation. Very good hind angulations. Very good forechest and underline. Steps good coming and going. Elbows firm. Shows very good ground covering movement. PROMISING 4 CASTASTAR EVITA (*Xaro von der Plassenburg a ED (Gmy) x *Ch. Castastar Alexi ET PT AZ) 7-1/2 months. Large, medium strong bitch, very strong but still feminine head, of good type. Slightly stretched in proportion. Dark masking and eyes. High wither, firm back and short croup. Good forequarter angulation. Very good hindquarter. Good forechest development and good underline. Steps very close and loose going. Shows very good ground covering movement. 5 JAYSTYRKE FLAMIN HOT (*Andacht Uknow Im It AZ x Andacht Zuzi AZ) 7 months. Medium size, strong bitch. Very good type and proportions. Well pigmented. Very good head and expression. Desired mask and dark eye. Level wither, firm back and short croup. Good forequarter angulation and very good hindquarters. Good forechest and underline. Steps correct coming and going. Shows good movement but should hold her wither higher in movement.
