Payment: Forms of payment accepted are; cash, GOOD check, and credit card. Returned checks will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Credit card transactions are incurred a 3% buyer s premium. There is no buyer s premium for cash or check. All payments must be made on sale day. The buyer will receive a Bill Of Sale upon payment when paying with cash or credit card. The buyer will receive Proof Of Purchase for Transportation Only when paying with a check. Bill of Sale will be mailed only after the check clears, typically business days. Possession: The buyer is responsible for the care of the animal and takes possession immediately upon purchase- this includes but it not limited to overall well being, security, feed, and water. The bidder becomes solely responsible for the horse(s) purchased by him immediately following his winning bid. Therefore, he is advised to further protect his horse at his own discretion. If a horse is to stay overnight it must be picked up no later than 11am tomorrow (Sunday) morning. Sellers: Should you decide to passout or no sale the horse, the bid must be declined before the horse leaves the sale ring. Original registration certificate, etc. will be released on consignments not sold only after all expenses are paid. Consignment fees are non-refundable, there is a $50 no-sale fee. If after you passout your horse and an interested party approaches you, we encourage you to engage in negotiations to sell your horse! HOWEVER, all no sales, sold in alley day of sale must be taken to sales office for proper paper work, brand clearance, and payment of commission, not different than if sold in the ring. Any seller caught back alley trading without going through the office for the before mentioned payment and paperwork, may be banned from further sales and assessed a fine of at least $250, in addition to a $50 no sale fee. Any buyers caught engaging in back alley trading without going to the office may be banned from further sales. Horse Creek Sale Company LLC reserves the right to reject at sale time any horse that in the sole judgment of Sale Management is not up to the quality of the sale due to poor condition, sickness, injury, drugging or any reason management sees fit. Any kind of animal abuse will NOT be tolerated. You may be asked to leave the fairgrounds, and will be turned into appropriate authorities. Verbal terms and conditions as stated by the auctioneer supersede any other terms above, online or otherwise. He is a smaller framed horse, but not afraid of much and will dig in with grit. This horse has been used out in the hills, in the branding pen, and started in the arena. He has a nice gait, knows his leads, has good collection, and a nice stop. "Mighty" will really track a cow, and people will notice him. Between his athleticism, conformation, and "Get in there" personality hasn't fallen far from the tree. As a two year old he was started working on a ranch and seeing big country! He's been through the mountains, crossed creeks, swims with rider in the saddle, crosses bridges, rivers, up and down trails right through downtown; cars busses you name it!! His arena work is excellent, switches leads well, collects, and stops on que! In 2015 competed at nationals in Fort Worth, Texas. Has been used for team penning and ranch sorting! Has had ropes thrown off of him, has ponied colts, introduced to tracking a flag, he is a great all-around gelding! Beginners can ride him just has a lot of get up and go when asked!! He was bought 2 years ago at this sale for a ranch horse and has done an excellent job. I have used him strictly for ranch work, checking cattle, branding, pasture roping (doctoring calves, yrlings, cows). He will load a cow into a trailer with no problem. Dee is easy to catch, sound and has a gentle disposition. The only reason he is for sale is because we have 2 young horses that we use. He is for sale only because his last owner is in his 80's and can't enjoy him anymore. I had the pleasure of starting him and have ridden him extensively over his 9 years. He never offered to buck, never gets sick, is great with all of the routines (vet, farrier, bath, etc.). There was a 12 yo. girl that enjoyed him in the fields before I took him back, and a 9 yo that has played on him here. He has done game days, been in the roping box and heads a bit, rides English and western, and been rode in the mountains. I would say due to his size (16hh+) that small children may have trouble with him, but the little older or bigger ones and adults will have no trouble with this big, colorful, honest guy. Will be used at the Ranch Rodeo, Jefferson County Fairgrounds, August 13th. Will also be used at the Mardi Gras Bulls and Beads rodeo, August 19th, Gilpin County Fairgrounds. He's broke for any level of rider. Jett has heeled steers in the arena, and been hauled to jackpots. Very sure footed in rough country, and down fall. Open and close gates off him. Ready to go to work. This gelding is perfect to teach anyone how to ride a broke horse. Don't let his age fool you. Back when we had stock a the NFR, the average age of all horses was 17 years old. My 84 year old Dad rides Moscow without any trouble. He's super nice with his head and ears.
