The hunting area s northern part is characterized by colder biotopes with spruce, pine and linden. Red deer, mouflon as well as wild boar are present in this hunting grounds.

6 THE HUNTING CHATEAU 6 The hunting Chateau A pleasant high standard accommodation is provided by a nice hunting Chateau. The chateau s origins date back to the 14 th century when records mentioned a water stronghold built along so-called amber trade path that connected Mediterranean and Baltic coasts. During following periods the stronghold gained gradually more splendour under the possession of the local noble families. A radical transformation was carried out during XVIII century. Current classicist style of Chateau was influenced by the Archduke Friedrich, owner of the chateau at the beginning of XX century. At that time the Chateau and surrounding estates hosted hunting guest from all over the world. Rooms of the Chateau were adorned with trophies of games hunted all over the Austro-Hungarian Empire. Since 1918 the Chateau and the adjoining park have been in possession of the Czech Republic. During the 1920s and 1930s T.G. Masaryk, President of the Czechoslovakian Republic, paid several visits to the Chateau. Staircase of Chateau with trophies

There are two single rooms, three double rooms and one triple room with en-suite shower and toilet, common room with an open fireplace, kitchenette and a toilet.

The game preserve itself is the oldest in the Czech Republic, founded in the second half of the XVI century. The total area of the game preserve is around 500 hectares, mainly covered with deciduous forests. The lay of the land with its big difference in altitude is able to assure gripping hunting days. All our past hunting guests can confirm that the hunt there is not easy at all. The hunter must be in a good shape.

This hotel is a renovated mill dating back to It offers elegant country-style rooms and chalets, a small mining museum and a traditional restaurant. The wide grounds that surround the hotel include a fully functional mill wheel and a large garden with a barbecue area. A garden chess, a miniature golf and an on-site bike rental are also available. Accommodation offers the atmosphere of the past times, while providing all the modern facilities such as tiled bathrooms, flat-screen TVs and fridges.
