What Is Krav Maga Cayman? Krav Maga Cayman is a strength, conditioning & self-defense facility located in the beautiful Islands of Grand Cayman. The mission of Krav Maga Cayman is to develop individuals in mind, body & life by teaching the principles of health, fitness & martial arts to everybody, regardless of age, gender or capability We focus strongly on having a structured, progressive, incentive based & flexible programme that suits every person who comes through our doors. Whether you are looking to just improve your general conditioning, perform & feel better about yourself or if you are looking to develop you fitness to a new level, learn the effective & devastating martial art of Israeli Krav Maga & progress through the ranks then we have all of this under one roof From day one you are educated on how to empower yourself mentally & physically with the knowledge of training so that you can tailor your training to suit both your needs & more importantly, your capability. We aren t going to manage you; we are going to lead you. We understand that it can be intimidating just walking into a new training environment & even more intimidating trying to keep up with people who are more experienced than you. To combat this we have devised the programme to run so that you are always operating at your own level of fitness & experience with the option to progress at your own pace as and when you decide. Each person who chooses to train with us is asked to complete an induction in which you are taken through the structure of the programme, the relevant exercises & the basic combative strikes so that when it comes time to begin your training you are working alongside personnel who have been through the exact same process as you and you aren t made to feel awkward. This also gives you an understanding of what to expect & how to optimize your training to suit you There are 5 programmes that we run- 1. The 10 Most Common Attacks Class (FREE) Male & Female Classes 2. The Krav Maga Functional Fighting Fitness Programme (Induction Required) 3. The Combatives Programme (Induction Required) 4. Kids Bullyproofed (Induction required) Unless stated, these classes are open to all levels of fitness, age, gender & experience. The kid s class runs for ages 5-12 years after which the child will be eligible to go into the combatives course & the KMFFF classes too.

The 10 Most Common Attacks Classes (Entry Level) We feel that it is extremely important for everybody to be able to defend themselves. As a student/client we feel it is vital that each person who trains has an understanding of everything from the start instead of walking into a class & feeling out of place. Therefore our aim is to start everybody off at the same level with the OPTION to progress or regress as the person sees fit. After many years of teaching we are fully aware that there is no one size fits all formula for training. This is the purpose of having an induction The induction will run as follows: (1) Welcome (2) Waivers & registration (3) The Exercises (Demonstration & participation) (4) The Formats (Demonstration & Participation) (5) The Combatives (Demonstration & participation) (6) Pad work (How to hold & instruct) (7) Questions For your induction you will need the following- (1) A printed copy of the Krav Maga Functional Fighting Fitness Programme (2) Training Clothes (3) Towel (4) Bottle Of Water (5) Pen (6) Camera (or camera phone) *Optional (7) $50 Induction fee (Not optional ) Your training log, manuals & information will be sent to you via on confirmation of your booking. Krav Maga is not just a martial art; it is a way of life. A direct mentality that gets results. So why not have a training programme that does the same? Whether you are a complete beginner or a seasoned veteran of training, this programme is going to help. By applying the Krav Maga mentality to your training you are going to get the job done. Simple This structured, progressive, flexible & incentive based programme was designed with 4 principles in mind: (a) (b) (c) (d) Simple & accessible Flexible & adaptable Useable by anyone (Students & Non Practitioners of Krav Maga) Effective & Efficient It combines bodyweight functional fitness with resistance based strength & conditioning alongside Krav Maga combative striking to give you an incredible workout like no other which is completely adaptable to suit your needs & capability. 6 The Combatives Programme (Induction required) In the KMFFF Programme you have touched on the basics of body mechanics through exercise & the striking combinations. But now, it s time to start the real journey towards becoming a Kravist. Before you can advance in Krav Maga you must first understand the basics of combative striking & grappling to become proficient enough to defend yourself in a physical confrontation or attack The aim is to learn the fundamentals of striking & ground fighting in a much more technical manner so that you have the tools, reactions & knowledge of how to use your body in a Combative situation. The simple truth is that knowing a few fancy & slick techniques is all well & good but the body mechanics & ability to strike with speed, power & efficiency is the most important aspect that must be learnt. Further to this, we want to know if you are committed to becoming a Kravist as opposed to just dabbling with the basics. Of course, there is nothing wrong with wanting to stay at a certain level & simply enjoy the physical training & health benefits but as teachers of the art we need to offer a path to those who wish to develop further. To that end, the Krav Maga Combatives programme consists of 12 different lessons in which the practitioner must complete 3 times through & then be assessed in their proficiency of the Combatives. Krav Maga is a martial art designed for everybody & we feel it is the most important part of a Kravists arsenal that they have the capability to defend themselves in a multitude of situations. Single techniques & specific scenarios are not enough to do this. The Combatives Programme covers the following essential techniques: (1) Stance, Guard & Footwork (2) 360 Attack & Defense (3) Upper Body Combatives (4) Upper Body Defenses (5) Front Kicks & Sidekicks (6) Knees & Elbows (7) Lower Body Defenses (8) Retsev Combatives The Combatives programme will introduce you the techniques of punching, kicking, knees, elbows, footwork, guard, stance, upper & lower body defenses & how to put it all together in a seamless barrage of overwhelming attack known as Retsev (Continual Combative motion). So, if you are ready to take the next step in the evolution of your training, get in touch with us via the contact details provided

Combatives 2 Ground Fighting In Krav Maga, we constantly stress the principal of not going to the ground in a street fight. There are a few reasons for this- 1. In a street fight you could be dealing with multiple attackers and if you are on the floor fighting with someone you will have limited options in regards to avoiding getting hit by your attackers accomplices 2. The street is not like a nice padded mat that you get in the gym. It is hard, rough & is covered in things like glass, bricks & other materials that can cause serious damage to you 3. Most people do not know how to fight on the ground! So, whilst we do not advocate going to the ground, as Kravists we are more than prepared to do so should the need arise or if this option is forced upon us. In Combatives Ground Fighting you will start to learn & understand the principles of close range control, leverage & technique that will not only help get you out of multiple situations on the ground but also techniques that will help prevent you going to the ground in the first place (Prevention is better than cure!) You must understand that ground fighting in Krav Maga is different from sport grappling, Jiu Jitsu or wrestling in that there are no rules, no guard passing or intricate techniques. Whilst the mechanics & principles of close quarter control are fundamentally the same, Krav Maga resorts to ALL means necessary to maintain your self-preservation which include gouging, biting, tearing & strikes to areas of the bodies anatomy that is normally illegal in sport based training To that end, the Krav Maga Combatives Ground Fighting programme consists of 8 different aspects in which the practitioner must complete 4 times through & then be assessed in their proficiency of the Combatives. Krav Maga is a martial art designed for everybody & we feel it is the most important part of a Kravists arsenal that they have the capability to defend themselves in a multitude of situations. Single techniques & specific scenarios are not enough to do this. The Combatives Programme covers the following essential principles & techniques 1. Clinching 2. Takedowns 3. Positional Control 4. Escapes 5. Punch Protection 6. Sweeps 7. Ground & Pound 8. Submissions & Locks For more information please feel free to contact us via the details below

Technical Sparring & Scenario Based Training Up to this point you have excelled in developing you baseline fitness & began to understand the mechanics of how to use your body as a weapon through the Combatives programme & hopefully enjoyed the process too! Krav Maga delves deep into the vast multitude of scenarios that can take place in a violent encounter. Krav Maga was designed for the street, on the street. To that end the no rules principle of Krav Maga means that there are countless variations of attacks & situations in which you could find yourself & you need not only the knowledge but the capability to defend yourself. From the humble beginnings of being a yellow belt through to the mastery & proficiency of being an elite black belt, the KMBC will guide you step by step towards each level, refining, developing & testing you at all times to ensure that your education & performance in Krav Maga is of the highest caliber The curriculum covers aspects including but not limited to: (1) Knife attacks (2) Firearms (3) Blunt weaponry (4) Multiple attackers (5) Ground fighting (6) 3 rd party self-defense & protection (7) Tactical fighting against skilled attackers (8) The psychology of violence And much much more We pride ourselves on delivering high quality training & the curriculum is no different. In order to progress up the ranks, not only do you have to know your techniques & understand them but you must also keep a good level of functional fitness as each belt test requires you to complete one of the many various challenges from the KMFFF programme prior to even starting your technical test This is to ensure that our students never lose the motivation to better their capabilities. Having a strong level of functional fitness gives you a solid base on which to build your Krav Maga fighting skills. Regardless of how good a Kravist is, they will be faster, stronger & more efficient if they have that grounding in strength & conditioning which the KMFFF more than provides If you feel that the KMBC is where you want to be then there are a few pre requisites that must be achieved first but we have no doubt that those who want to begin their journey towards excellence will do all they can to get there And we will be waiting there for you when you do For more information contact us via the details provided

Kids Bullyproofed Our Kids Bullyproofed programme is a fun, frantic & empowering experience for children aged 5-12 years in which we teach them not only self-defense but all round personal development as well. We all know that Bullying is an epidemic that is never going to go away so we must prepare kids from a young age in not only knowing how to deal with it when it happens but being aware of it before it happens By helping the child to understand the what, the why & the how of bullying, we can better educate them on being role models to other kids on how to NOT be bullied & also how to help others not be a victim either whilst educating bullies in the process Bullying is like a fire in that it needs fuel, oxygen & heat to spread. In the same way, a bully needs 3 things to carry out his intentions (A) A victim (B) A bully (C) Opportunity/Location/Bystanders Now, it is a fact of life that prevention is better than cure & so we not only teach our kids how to deal with the physical & verbal bullying that happens but how to avoid it or neutralize it before it can cause further harm, to themselves or others The Bullyproofed class is a non-striking form of self-defense in which we teach control & negotiation techniques as opposed to punching & kicking. We do this because in a confrontation with a bully, a child may strike the bully to defend themselves & yet they can find themselves being punished through the damage caused to the other child. By developing self-defense skills based on control & neutralization the child learns to become confident in dealing with threats much larger than them & in turn they can stop the attack happening whilst ensuring that neither person gets hurt in the process The programme has a belt system in which kids will start off with a white belt. As they progress they are given a stripe to mark attendance with a small test after completing a certain number of classes to progress to their next rank. The class is open to kids aged 5-12 years & no experience is required to attend. At age 13 the child is eligible to partake in the adult classes & will move into the Combatives & Krav Maga Belt Curriculum Should you require further information, as always you can contact us via the details provided

Open Gym- The gym will be open to all members who wish to come in & work with other members & the instructors on various areas of their training. Whether this is on their mobility, their Krav techniques, Combatives or just to hang out. Of course there will be workouts & instruction available but if you wish to do your own things then please feel free. The open gym is more of a personalized workshop for our members to progress their training & capabilities at their own pace whilst focusing on themselves as opposed to completing circuits/techniques etc. For yellow belts & above, there will be the option for technical sparring in which they will develop their Retsev & combative skills under the instruction of the instructor The open gym is an opportunity for individuals to also catch up with certain aspects they may have missed during training mid-week. As stated above, it is an open gym for MEMBERS ONLY. This means that those who are training are working with personnel who have the same goals & interests as them & creates a better training environment as opposed to being a free for all During the open gym time, one of the instructors will also be conducting the weekly induction for new members so it is a perfect opportunity for potential members to meet the current students & ask questions (only if they are not working out of course) As all members must complete an induction it gives the new members a chance to see what to expect & maybe gain a better insight as to whether this programme is suitable for them & vice versa In the event that there is no induction it is possible that the instructor will go through any training techniques or aspects that a student may have missed prior to get marked off in the Combatives manual or KMBC curriculum. For more information on the Open Gym please contact us on the details provided

Most Common Attacks Charity Seminars- In some cases, people live outside of the main towns & cities with limited or no access to training facilities or unfortunately cannot afford the tuition either financially or time wise Learning online with your friends is great but learning in person with a fully certified instructor will help give you a realistic experience of how to perform the techniques outlined in this book. We are fully aware of this issue & we receive lots of s asking about how people can learn more but don t have the access to a school or dojo. With this in mind we have designed the Krav Maga Self Defense & Safety Awareness Course conducted as a one of seminar at a location of your choice This 4 hour seminar covers all of the techniques & scenarios in the 10 most common attacks programme, going into greater detail to help develop your training & expanding on the situations outlined plus answering any questions you may have regarding other situations not covered in this manual. During the seminar, we will cover everything from breaking down the psychology of an attacker through to dealing with the after effects & trauma that can be associated with an attack as well as multiple variations of the scenarios & expansions of the techniques too. Further to this, all participants will receive a certificate of completion in recognition of their commitment to empowering themselves & others in a closing presentation from one of our certified Instructors Another added bonus of these seminars is that 10% of the proceeds will go towards helping a charity that benefits victims of domestic & sexual abuse, the CICC (Cayman Islands Crisis Centre) So not only are you helping yourself but you are helping others in the process too. If you would like to know more about organizing a seminar or if you are an advocate of raising awareness of domestic & sexual violence against women & would be willing to sponsor a seminar then please contact us on via the details provided We would love to hear from you
