3 PREAMBLE George EDWARDS is the inventor of the racing rules applied to the DOWNHILL MTB MARATHON. These rules guarantee sporting fairness, the progress cohesion and the passive security of protagonists of competitions. The regulatory support exploitation has been approved since 1995 through various displays of international reputation: MEGAVALANCHE, MAXIAVALANCHE. These operations was granted on a concession between George EDWARDS and the S.A.R.L. UCC for names and concept exploitation. 1. DEFINITION Departures take place by line on paths primarily selected to ensure a passive security and a diversity of barriers and crossings, that gave priority to own qualities to the discipline which are strength and endurance with skill and improvisation capacity while making use of specific technology to polyvalent mountain bike. 2. INSCRIPTIONS 2.1. Mail commitment Applications shall be sent on a type bulletin (within the limit of the number of places available), accompanied by the regulation (order to «UCC») to : UCC Inscriptions 36 Rue Mérimée Le Cannet France 2.2. Online commitment Registration fees MEGAVALANCHE ALPE d HUEZ : Inscription : From 55 + ski lift access Cancellation insurance : 4 MEGAVALANCHE SAINT PAUL : Inscription : 55 Cancellation insurance: Closing date for registration Registrations are closed as soon as the maximum number of participants is reached. The registration deadline is 6 days before the event. After this delay, applications will be process within the limit of the number of places available, a penalty of 8 is applied systematically. -3- Copyright 2015 UCC

4 2.5 Prerequisite cancellations for the race and the refund Full payment is refunded (excluding Internet transaction fees and bank transfer fees) if and only if the competitor subscribed to the Cancellation Insurance (4 ) at the same time as his race entry. He has to make us known his cancellation by letter or by 10 days minimum before the race. After these 10 days and until the day before the race: the competitor has to present a receipt (medical certificate telling inability to practice VTT, employment contract, work certificate or a death certificate of a loved one) to claim the refund of his registration. When the race is over and/or in case of non subscription to the cancellation insurance, there will be no refund. 2.6 On-site cancellation for medical or technical reason noted is subject to refund up to 50% (excluding lift pass or/and other deliveries : accommodation This refund applies exclusively to participants often registered who contracted the cancellation insurance. 2.7 Any replacement induce an extra cost of 10% for participants who have not taken the cancellation insurance and an extra cost of 6 for participants who have taken the cancellation insurance. 3. CATEGORIES AND RANKS 3.1 SCRATCH MEGAVALANCHE Over all categories 3.3 WOMEN CATEGORIES : MEGAVALANCHE (more than 50 competitors at the departure) - JEUNES : years old born between 1997 and SENIORS* : ans y.o born between 1986 and MASTERS 30* : 30 y.o + born in 1985 and before. 3.4 MEN CATEGORIES : MEGAVALANCHE - CADETS : y.o born between 1999 and JUNIORS : y.o born between 1997 and SENIORS* : y.o born between 1986 and MASTERS 30* : y.o born between 1976 and MASTERS 40 : y.o born between 1966 and 1975 (*are excluded from this class, Bikers from the priority list Cf General Regulation Art. 6) 3.5 MEGA CHALLENGERS - ESPOIRS Challengers : 15 à 18 y.o born between 1997 and SENIORS Challengers : 19 à 29 y.o born between 1986 and MASTERS 30 Challengers : 30 à 39 y.o born between 1976 and MASTERS 40 Challengers : 40 à 49 y.o born between 1966 and MASTERS 50 Challengers : 50 y.o and more born between 1965 and before -4- Copyright 2015 UCC

5 3.6 MEGA AMATEURS - ESPOIRS Amateurs : 15 to 18 y.o born between1997 and SENIORS Amateurs : 19 to 39 y.o born between 1976 and MASTERS Amateurs : 40 years and more born 1975 and before 4. STARTNUMBERS ATTRIBUTION 4.1. Specific for competitors «Priority» or with sports results Numbers affected to priority correspond to their systematic placement on the start line and to their affectation in proportion of their number in all «Qualifying/Ranking races». However, is considered for the start lines, the record of each participant. Each competitor has to show up their record at the registration in the box "Record". A record certification or access criteria certification may be requested by the organization or when a claim is made. Example : for Ranking races of 100 competitors ; N 1 to 25, N 101 to 125, N 201 to 225 etc 4.2. The other competitors Numbers are affected by order of registration, postmark or registration on Internet. This registration order is very important for the position of the competitors on the line of each Qualifying/Ranking races. Example : - 5 «Priority» + 5 registrations of competitors with record + 15 registrations processed between the 1/01/N and the 15/02/N form the first line of the first, second, third wave of «Qualifying/Ranking Races» registrations processed between the 16/02/N and the 15/03/N form the second line of the first, second, third wave of «Qualifying/Ranking Races» The Ladies The same process is applied for the ladies class. They do have grouped and consecutive numbers. 5. EQUIPMENT Each participant must be provided with : - a full-face helmet - Elbow-pads - Long pair of gloves Any competitor who do not have the full set equipment will not appear in the final rankings. (except in specific cases accepted by the jury). 6. MATERIAL AND TECHNICAL CHECK The face plate has to be fixed in a way that will ensure her good visibility. This plate and the bib number are areas reserved for official partners of UCC to the exclusion of any other, and should be kept in their original configuration, particularly the area restricted for the line sticker. Poorly equipment, modification or lack of these brackets cause penalties. (Art.12) -5- Copyright 2015 UCC

6 7. PROGRAMM 7.1. Qualifying-Positioning Races Definition : «Qualification and position races» are taking place the day before the competition. Their function is to establish a fair hierarchy of the positions on the start lines. Number of waves : The number of Qualification and Position Races is prorated based on the number of participants, more the wave reserved for the Women class. Lines Constitution : Start lines of Qualification/Position races are constituted by positioning 20 to 25 competitors in ascending order of numbers in each wave start area. Start procedure : - 20 minutes before the start of the wave, competitors must show up and ensure to be in the judge list at the departure entry minutes before the start of the wave, competitors must take part in the pre-race briefing of the race Director who gives the most recent information on : delimitation, controllers/rescue/position, start process, etc - 5 minutes before the start, competitors have to be behind the strip line. - Display : 1 minute, 30 seconds et 5 seconds then lifting of the lines. Chronology : Each qualifying heat is separated by twenty to thirty minutes Arrival Every competitors should cross the arrival line in order to have access to the heat race in the time slot reserved for «Qualification/Position races» Automatic repechage for Priority bikers At the end of the qualifications, participants associated with the list «Priority» are systematically subject to a replacement on the fourth line (line D) of the MEGAVALANCHE scratch race is they gave up or they are not qualified for this race (in the list) Abandonment Participants who have dropped out without crossing the line have to explain their desire to the responsible for the timekeeping that they want to compete ; at this point they will be reintegrated and positioned behind the last start line of heat races from classes CHALLENGERS, AMATEURS, class CHALLENGERS, AMATEURS or AFFINITY (Megavalanche Alpe d Huez) In case of inability to organize the «Qualifying/Ranking races» The scheduling is achieved by positioning participants «Priority» then competitors who have a sport record then by order of registration processed. -6- Copyright 2015 UCC

SCHEDULING LINES OF RACES MEGAVALANCHE At the end of the races of qualification and ranking, all participants have to withdraw the «letter sticker» designating their position, fitted with an ID Card. This sticker must be on the space reserved on the face plate in order to access to their specific start line, of races MEGAVALANCHE et classes CHALLENGERS, AMATEURS et AFFINITY (Megavalanche Alpe d huez). 9. HEAT RACE 9.1. Definition The heat of the race determine the final ranking of one step and gives access to the point attribution Heat race Their number is determined in proportion to the competitors still in the race after the «Qualifying- Ranking races», more the heat reserved for Ladies group Formation on the start lines Start lines of «heat races MEGAVALANCHE» are provided by positioning ideally 24 competitors (space permitting) in ascending order of letters figuring on the line stickers stuck on the face plate and by ranking class in the start area of each race Competitors access to their position by order of the start judge from : - The line letter (place obtained in the Qualification race) - The place obtained in the qualifying/ranking race (ex : 4 first, then 4 second ) - The time realized in the Qualifying/Ranking 9.4 Identification of race groups Group Megavalanche Saint Paul of the Reunion: Top 100 best awarded the 100 first places in the Qualifying/Ranking heats. 25 competitors admitted through the Qualifying/Ranking races. *Example : for 4 «Qualifying/Ranking races» : the first six of each wave receive the letter A. The first four get first to the start area (in order of the time realized), then four second places, then the four third placed, then the four fifth places, then the four sixth places : 24 competitors on the line A. Same process for the letter B starting with the four seventh places Groups Mega Challengers Saint Paul Top 150 * classified beyond the top 100 on the Qualifying-Ranking heats. Start process : see Article Accuracy In order to preserve a good order on the start line, all the competitors and especially those with corresponding letters to the lines A, B, C, D, E and F, have the obligation to be on the start platform in staying within the time allocated otherwise a demotion will be applied. PENALTIES These penalties are estimated and validated by the race jury Driving suits and missing required accessories : - No full-face helmet : Refused start - No elbow support : 2 minutes penalty - No long gloves : 2 minutes penalty Face plate or bib number non-compliant 1 minute penalty Lack of line sticker One line demotion Entry into the start area after the call While the line of the rider concerned is already installed. One line demotion While the two next lines (or more) are already installed. Two lines demotion Cuts validated by a judge or a self-control Penalty cannot be less than 30 seconds Bib-number withdrawal out of time necessary to realize a recognition Time penalty : 5 to 10 times Saving of time estimated taking into account the dangerousness of the act. 11 his participation to the event, on all supports included promotional and/or advertising documents, through the world and for the longest time required by law, regulations, treaties currently in force, as well as eventual prolongations which could be made to this time Media professionals, photographers and cameraman must get their accreditation with the S.A.R.L UCC which holds all the commercial rights of the brand MEGAVALANCHE and more broadly all competitions organized from the regulation quoted after Copyright 2015 UCC

13 APPENDIX 1 SPECIFIC REGULATION MEGAVALANCHE ALPE D HUEZ Participation Competition is opened to competitors (2.000 men and 200 women) 2. Cable cars access Any competitor must have his electronic pass which will be given, accompanied by a justificative on which he has to write the code appearing on the back of his pass. In case of loss, without this justificative and the corresponding number, the pass cannot be replaced. A caution of 2 for the pas sis included in the registration fees, which is refundable when the pass is given back at the cable cars cashier. Please note, this pas sis personal and cannot be used by another person as the competitor because each pass corresponds to a person (plates numbers and family names are registered on each of your crossings) 3. Process of Positioning Qualification Races 3.1 Waves of Positioning-Qualification races There are 15 waves for Men categories, either maximum 110 competitors by wave. 1 wave reserved for Women categories and 1 wave for MEGAKIDS. 3.2 Lines Formation Start lines of Position-Qualification Races are constituted by positioning 25 competitors by ascending order of number in the start area of each wave. 4. Group races st group: MEGAVALANCHE 342 * best having obtained 342 best places on the 15 heats races. From 1 st to 23 rd of each Positioning-Qualifying Race nd group : MEGA CHALLENGERS 342 classified after 342 best places on the heats races. From 24 st to 47th of each Positioning-Qualifying Race rd group : MEGA AMATEURS 342 classified after 684 best places on the heats races. 15 APPENDIX 2 REGLEMENT TEMS TROPHY ENDURO MASS START Art.1 Art.2 The T.E.M.S classification allows to establish a precisely hierarchy updating after each competition appearing in the UCC programme. A point attribution from 1st to 342nd is attributed in selected races with a coefficient modulated depending on various sports levels : It is established by the adding of all points corresponding to positions obtained on each steps of these races 2015, listed on the regulation TEMS 2015 edited by UCC. Art. 3 Art.4 Art.5 Art.6 Art.7 An absence is not considered as a result. In case of abandonment, the on-site bib-number and face plate withdrawal leads to the point attribution. For the final classification, in case of equality competitors are separated depending on the number of first places, second places, etc ; then depending on the place obtained during the last stage. Points are awarded until the 342nd on the general points scale.
