2 United in Strength! United in Spirit! Kyrgyzstan hosts the Third World Nomad Games from the 2nd to the 8th of September 2018 to celebrate the nomadic heritage of all nations across the globe. The World Nomad Games project was initiated by the Kyrgyz government in 2012 for the revival and preservation of nomadic culture. The mission of the World Nomad Games is to foster a sense of tolerance and kinship among all inhabitants of the earth through traditional games and ethno-cultural festivities; instigating the revival, development and preservation of humankind s diverse and deep-rooted ethnic identities. The slogan of the Third World Nomad Games is United in Strength! United in Spirit!.

3 World Nomad Games 2018 WNG 2018 will take place from the 2nd to the 8th of September at five different venues across the majestic steppes, lakes and rivers of the Kyrgyz Republic; celebrating the diversity of the world s nomadic cultures, promoting the revival and preservation of nomadic heritage and reflecting on their remnants in modern life. The programme of the 3rd World Nomad Games made up of three parts. Ethno-Sports, Ethno-Culture and Ethno-Academia, and includes: Grand opening and closing ceremonies at the hippodrome of Cholpon-Ata, on the shores of the picturesque Lake Issyk-Kul; Exciting competitions in 37 traditional events, including wrestling, horseback sports, archery, and falconry; Cultural programmes including a large-scale theatrical performance, over twenty ethnic games performances in the Kyrchyn gorge; Scientific conferences. 3,000 athletes from 77 countries are expected to participate in c ompetitions in 37 types of ethno-sports.

4 World Nomad Games 2016 The Second World Nomad Games 2016 were held from 3 to 8 September, 2016 in Issyk-Kul region. 17 states presented cultural programs; sports delegations of 62 countries with 1200 participants (coaches and athletes) participated in the games and competed in 23 sports at WNG Another major festival Nomad Fest with the participation of Kyrgyz and foreign artists was held at the Hippodrome. For three days Kyrgyzstan was a platform for different peoples, who have shown to the world the value, culture and way of life of their ethnic groups. About 5000 artists and actors from all regions of Kyrgyzstan were involved in performances. More than 650 representatives of all types of media, as well as dozens of bloggers arrived to cover colourful events of WNG. The opening ceremony was broadcasted live by such TV channels as: Mir24, MirHD, Match TV, TRT, KazSport, TV channels of Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan and others. Local TV channels.
