5 INTERNATIONAL YOUTH FOOTBALL TOURNAMENTS THE NETHERLANDS // 2018 WELCOME TO THE SMALL, LIVELY HANSEATIC CITY OF OMMEN! Five renovated windmills, out of which two are still operating, and the banks of the 113 km long Vecht river shape the landscape of the city. Wander around the city of Ommen where you can discover and ejoy numerous shops and coffeehouses. If you feel more sportive you can always rent bikes in the city, or canoes and pedaloes for a trip along the Vecht river - unless you are already cheering for your team at the stadium of OZC Ommen! This tournament is organised by the OZC Ommen in cooperation with KOMM MIT and supported by the City of Ommen. The large sports facility of the OZC Ommen comprises the best quality artificial turf pitches and grass field pitches as well as changing rooms and showers. Accommodation is provided in the theme park SLAGHAREN at a distance of approx. 20 km to Ommen. It is possible to stay overnight either in Wigwam deluxe tents or in Cowboy cottages and Hacienda bungalows with up to 6 persons. All accommodations are furnished with a cooking facility, a refrigerator and their own sanitary facilities. The participants can enjoy the entire theme park with its more than 40 attractions for free (excluded Aqua Mexicana). You can expect breakfast or half board (breakfast/dinner). Booked meals are served in the theme park but the host association will also serve food in the clubhouse on the sports ground. Amsterdam Ommen Besides the tournament you can also book numerous excursions and recreational activities: Whether it is a visit to the city Giethorn or the theme park SLAGHAREN where you have free access as KOMM MIT tournament participant, it s up to you! Should you decide to organise the transfer on your own (private car, bus, train or airplane) please always consider that you have to be mobile on site given that the accommodation in the theme park Slagharen is 20 km distant from the pitches in Ommen.
