3 PVC > OIAC From May 2016, Rio 2016 will distribute Pre-Valid Cards (PVC) to NOCs and directly accredited press organisations Distribution of PVCs by NOCs to the relevant press organisations and their press representative PVC valid as a visa waiver for all E categories from 5 July 2016 to 28 October 2016 when accompanied by a valid entry document for Brazil only PVC not valid as a transit visa for any other country Individuals responsible for their own visa arrangements if accreditation application received by Rio 2016 after 5 February 2016

4 How to validate your PVC Present valid and original acceptable forms of identification at a Rio 2016 accreditation facility After validation, PVC becomes the official identification document for the bearer throughout the Olympic Games period (OIAC) Acceptable Passport Mercosul ID For Brazilians: Registro Geral only Unacceptable Staff ID/Press Card Business Card International Driving Permit Letter, photocopies, etc..

10 Lost accreditation card Any individual who has lost or had their accreditation card stolen will have to fill in a request form, available at the Media Accreditation Centre (MAC) or a Venue Accreditation Office (VAO) Where the accreditation card has been reported lost or stolen, if appropriate, the individual will also need to complete a police report A reported lost or stolen accreditation card will be cancelled and cannot be used to enter venues if subsequently found
