6 NSW Multicultural Seniors Association "to celebrate the Spring Arts Festival": Welcome Luna Year of the Dog. On February 18 th 2018, 9:30 am to 2:30 pm, NSW Multicultural Seniors Association "Celebration of Luna Year Art Festival" held in the Strathfield Town Hall Auditorium. The morning of the Third day of the New Year, it was sunny and we all arrived early. The venue was decorated with glittering, everyone was dressed gorgeously. There was laughter everywhere, a peaceful and festival atmosphere. Senator Guozhong Wang and president of the Northeast Association BaoTai Jiang was invited to attend the General Assembly. 220 friends and families attended the conference. The assembly is chaired by Ms Dan Ping. President Yinglan Ge of NSW Multicultural Seniors Association delivered a message for the New Year. The president thanked all the members for their concerted efforts and dedication. She encouraged everyone to continue their hard work in the New Year, not forgetting the beginning of their minds and tearing forward to work together; to make the "our association" like a "home" for caring the middle-aged and old people of all ethnic groups. We will better our contribution to the multi-cultural community. She also summed up the development and growth of the Association, the current membership has reached more than 1,100 people, and has 13 art groups. Friendship is like a big family, attracting many middle-aged and old people, added colour and interest to their life. More and more trust and love for elderly. Invited guests Senator GuoZhong Wang," "Northeast Association President Baotai Jiang" commended our association for the various nationalities in the elderly as the community to make multicultural and civilized Greater contribution. Cultural Festival Gala kicked off in the drumsticks of "Beautiful China". Fifteen dances and other shows were brilliant. More than a dozen art teams from the Association flocked to stage one after another. Their dancing skill was superb, their dancing was graceful and their costumes were gorgeous. Bodybuilding and dancing competition, color and technical competition, it is refreshing. Enjoy the visual feast! Page 6

7 Finale drama is the "Oriental Yun Model Art Troupe" with a number of art teams to make a group of 50 people they performed Cheongsam dance "best romance in the world". Elegant dance, dress up gorgeously, beauties like a clouds. Show the charm of traditional Chinese culture and the charm of cheongsam with Chinese characteristics. People dance together and the climax after another. At 11:10am, volunteers sent us a good lunch. Everyone enjoyed the delicious meals and also felt the warmth of the extended family. After dinner, Grand Ball began. First, by the volunteer dance teacher, Guangming Yan s couple leaded the dance, "Silent and Wish. Accompanied by the melodious and pleasure music, we all entered the stage and dance together. Enjoy and exhilaration. The event was memorable. We will have new dream and new life in the New Year. We all wish our friends to make unremitting efforts, more prosperous and more successful every year. We also wish a happy and long life for all middle-aged families in the Spring Festival! Page 7

9 The purpose of this event, NSW Multicultural Seniors Association will face the society and better serve the middle-aged and elderly Chinese people. Through this event, all members are encouraged to pursue a better life and create harmony. Under the leadership of President YinLan Ge, our association has 13 art groups and nine venues. The art troupe of this event was the audience and the actor. They remained quiet during the meeting, the seats were fixed and they were not allowed to walk around and take pictures. The performance of this show will be higher than before and have an international influence. Page 9
