1 PR010/2012 Ngong Ping 360 Brings You A Spectacular Summer Of Martial Arts Two Months Of Endless Fun, Fitness And Education With Shaolin And Wu Dang Masters (Hong Kong, 4 July 2012) Today, Ngong Ping 360 is pleased to unveil its Shaolin and Wu Dang Martial Arts Extravaganza at Ngong Ping 360 for a spectacular summer this year. For the very first time, Ngong Ping 360 will be featuring the legendary Wu Dang Kung Fu alongside with Shaolin Kung Fu. From today until September 2, around 20 Shaolin and Wu Dang Kung Fu masters will showcase their daring stunts and Kung Fu moves, re-creating classic scenes in Kung Fu movies right in front of the guests at the Shaolin & Wu Dang Kung Fu Showcase. Ms. Stella Kwan, Head of Commerce and Marketing of Ngong Ping 360, Miss Lisa Cheng, Champion of Cheung Chau Bun Tower Competition as well as the six-time winner of the Hong Kong Bodybuilding Championships, together with the Kung Fu masters officiated the kickoff ceremony today to celebrate the exciting arrival of the Shaolin and Wu Dang Martial Arts Extravaganza at Ngong Ping 360. Ms. Stella Kwan, Head of Commerce and Marketing of Ngong Ping 360, said, As one of the must-see attractions in Hong Kong, Ngong Ping 360 strives to bring innovation to Hong Kong tourism, making Hong Kong a compelling destination and attracting more guests. Last year, our Ngong Ping Shaolin Kung Fu Showcase was well received by our guests, and this year, we are excited to introduce Wu Dang to our annual Kung Fu event, creating an unprecedented opportunity for guests to venture into the world of martial arts, and see how the 2 Kung Fu disciplines interact, bringing an exciting and enjoyable experience to guests from Hong Kong and around the world through this special event. Also, for the first time, we will be introducing the Ngong Ping 360 Shaolin Martial Arts Training Camp as another pledge to bring fun outdoor activities to guests this summer. Through these interactive workshops, guests will learn to appreciate the power and essence of traditional Chinese martial arts while enjoying a fun-filled day-out for everyone in the family at Ngong Ping 360, and the place-to-go for outdoor activities for all ages! At the kickoff ceremony, the Kung Fu masters demonstrated some of their impressive skills, including Shaolin s Qizhen (Flag Matrix 旗陣 ), Wu Dang s Qixingjianzhan (Seven Star Sword Matrix 七星劍陣 ) as well as Taiyixuantianfuchen ( 太乙玄天拂塵 ). As a grand finale, Miss Lisa Cheng surprised guests to an eye-opening combat stunt with the masters, leaving a lasting impression and memorable event for all. The Shaolin and Wu Dang Martial Arts Extravaganza at Ngong Ping 360 will take place from 1 July to 2 September 2012 in Ngong Ping Village. During the two-month period, guests will not only be able to see two disciplines demonstrating their authentic martial art skills on the same stage at Shaolin & Wu Dang Kung Fu Showcase, but guests will also have the opportunity to learn the Shaolin Five-Form Fist ( 少林五形拳 ) and Wu Dang Foundation Fist Form ( 武當基本拳 ) at the Shaolin & Wu Dang Kung Fu Workshop. For those who like to take photos, there will be plenty of special photo moments during the Shaolin & Wu Dang Masters Photo Session for your favourite snapshots with the fellow Kung Fu masters.
