11 India and Uzbekistan on Oct 1, 2018 inked 17 pacts to boost ties in key areas including defence. It was signed after extensive talks between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. 17 pacts were signed in areas of defence, agriculture, science and technology and space, besides combating drug-trafficking.
