3 Dear All, Please let us take this opportunity to welcome you to the Inline Speed Skating World Championships 2018 in the Netherlands. Some of you may have fond memories of the European Championships in Heerde. This time we are thrilled to welcome you in Arnhem and Heerde and we have done our very best to make this tournament as spectacular and epic yet comfortable and enjoyable as we can for all of you. The province of Gelderland and the two host cities are very proud to be hosting this World Championships. For those who have some spare time: the cities provide great possibilities for sightseeing, relaxing, dining, shopping and partying. We have taken great care in selecting appropriate accommodations and we realize that optimal services such as transport service are key in your preparations. 1. TRANSPONDERS We will ask you for a surey of 250,- ( 100,- for small teams, up to 4 skaters) when we give you the transponders (at the preparatory meeting). Please make sure your teamleader has this amount ready. After the Marathon competition on 8 July the teamleader can hand in all transponder at the LOC Office. There they will receive the 250,- or 100,- cash back. 4. FOOD & DRINKS Please advise at the reception of the hotel before if you prefer to have dinner on another time in the hotel. 12. ANTI-DOPING Anti-Doping tests will be carried out according to the World Skate Anti- Doping Code, as given in the applicable World Skate Communications. 13. MEDICAL FACILITIES A team of doctors is on call at all times during the training days on Sunday until Saturday. During both Thursday and the competition days several professional emergency teams are on site. BREAKFAST, LUNCH AND DINNER WILL BE SERVED IN THE HOTEL FOR THOSE WHO HAVE BOOKED THIS VIA TIG SPORTS 18 19
11 14. TRANSPORTATION TRANSPORTATION IS ONLY FOR THOSE TEAMS WHO HAVE BOOKED DIRECTLY VIA TIG SPORTS There will be transportation between Schiphol Airport (Amsterdam) and the official hotels. When arriving at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport, please meet us at the meeting point in the main entrance hall, displayed below. Medical & preparatory meeting (Saturday June 30) Transport from Droompark Beekbergen to Fletcher Epe for both meetings will be provided. Buses will leave at 8:20 and 9:50. Sunday 1st of July until Sunday 8th of July A bus departs every 30 minutes from the hotels to the venue. Starting 90 minutes before the start of the first warming up until 60 minutes after the end of the last race. You will find a more detailed overview of the time schedule in the lobby of the hotels and in the LOC office. Travel time from the Van der Valk Duiven to venue in Arnhem is approximately 25 minutes Travel time from the Droompark Beekbergen to venue in Arnhem is approximately 30 minutes; Meeting point Schiphol Also, there will be transportation between the official hotels and the venue during the competition days and the training periods, starting from Sunday, June 24th There will be shuttle buses driving back and forth between all official hotels to the venue. Sunday 24th of June until Saturday 30th of June A bus departs every 60 minutes from the hotels to the venue. Starting at 08:00 hrs. until 21:00 hrs. Travel time from the Fletcher Hotel Epe to venue in Heerde is approximately 15 minutes; Travel time from the Droompark Beekbergen to venue in Heerde is approximately 20 minutes. Travel time from the Van der Valk Arnhem to venue in Arnhem is approximately 20 minutes. All other hotels are in walking distance of the venue.
