1 7News Sydney Ultimate Sydney Royal Easter Show Giveaway Terms and Conditions By entering the 7News Sydney Ultimate Sydney Royal Easter Show Giveaway ( the Competition ), you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions: 1. STANDARD TERMS 1.1 Information on how to enter forms part of the terms of entry. 2. WHO CAN ENTER? 2.1 Subject to clause 2.2, entry is open to all residents of New South Wales aged 18 years of age or older, who are able to attend the Sydney Royal Easter Show at Sydney Olympic Park between Friday 23 March 2018 to Tuesday 3 April 2018, where the Channel Seven signal is received. 2.2 Employees and their immediate families of the Seven Network (Operations) Limited, Ansible Pty Ltd and their associated agencies and companies are not eligible to enter. 3. HOW TO ENTER 3.1 The Competition commences on Sunday 18 March 2018 at 18:00 (AEDT) and concludes on Friday 23 March 2018 at 09:00 (AEDT) ( Competition Period ). The eligible registration periods for each prize draw will commence and conclude on the following dates and times: MINOR PRIZES Day Competition Registration Period Start Date at 18:00 AEDT End Date At 09:00 AEDT Minor Prize Draws 1 18 March March March 2018 at 09:05 AEDT 2 19 March March March 2018 at 09:05 AEDT 3 20 March March March 2018 at 09:05 AEDT 4 21 March March March 2018 at 09:05 AEDT 5 22 March March March 2018 at 09:05 AEDT MAJOR PRIZE Day Competition Registration Period Start Date at 18:00 AEDT End Date At 09:00 AEDT Major Prizes Draw March March March 2018 at 09:05 AEDT 3.2 For entry details, viewers must watch Seven News (Sydney) on the Seven Network ( the Network ) and affiliates during the Competition Period from Sunday 18 March 2018 at 18:00 AEDT to Thursday 22 March 2018 at 18:00 (AEDT) ( the Program ). There will be a competition segment aired during the Program (or any replacement program broadcast in the 7 News timeslot), which will display information on how to enter. 3.3 Every valid entry throughout the competition (regardless of registration period) will be eligible to win the major prize. 3.4 To enter the draw, viewers must do one of the following: a) SMS: Send a text message/sms registering the daily code word, their full name, address and postcode to (Charge $ Helpline ) ( SMS ); b) CALL: Telephone (Charge $0.55 fixed - Helpline ) and register the daily code word, their full name, address, postcode and contact daytime telephone number (including STD area code) ( 1902 ) 3.5 The Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process. In particular, SMS entries via the internet, computer generation or scripting are invalid and will not be accepted. Website entries using scripting for multiple entries will not be accepted. The cost of sending an SMS message is the entrant s responsibility and will not exceed 55 cents including GST. Some service providers and call plans may not provide access to Premium SMS. Entrants must ensure that all care is taken when sending messages to enter this SMS promotion. It is the entrant s responsibility to SMS the correct number. Any SMS entries submitted after the promotion period has closed will not be included in the promotion and will be charged 55 cents (including GST). 4. PRIZES 4.1 There will be twenty-five (25) Minor Prize Winners and one (1) Major Prize Winner who will each receive one of the Prize Packages detailed in clause Prize package details: 25 x Minor Prize Winners MINOR PRIZE PACKAGES Each Minor Prize Winner will receive the following prize package: (Refer to clause 4.3 for Minor Prize conditions) 4 x Sydney Royal Easter Show Adult ShowLink tickets to the Sydney Royal Easter Show allowing entry for one full day from Friday 23 March 2018 to Tuesday 3 April $ x Major Prize Winner Maximum Minor Prize Pool Value $4, MAJOR PRIZE PACKAGE The Winner of Major Prize Package The Ultimate Overnight Easter Show Glamping Experience will receive the following prize package: (Refer to clause 4.5 for major prize conditions) Overnight stay at the 2018 Sydney Royal Easter Show on Sunday 1 April 2018 for 4 people (2 x Adult and 2 x Children) in a glamping tent including breakfast the following morning. PLUS 4 x exclusive 2-day passes (2 x Adult and 2 x Children) to the 2018 Sydney Royal Easter Show. $1, Maximum Major Prize Pool Value $1, Maximum Total Prize Pool Value $5, Total maximum Prize pool value is $5, Australian Dollars. Prize value is correct as at the date of printing. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for change in Prize value between now and the ultimate date on which the Prize is taken. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any printing errors or other quality control matters outside their control and prizes will be awarded to an entrant who has entered into the competition as per these Terms and Conditions. 4.3 In accepting the Minor Prize Package, the winners and their nominated companions must abide by the following conditions: a) The Prizes are event based and the Winners and their nominated companions must fulfil and utilise the prize package between Friday 23 March 2018 and Tuesday 3 April The prize package must be taken as stated. No compensation will be payable if a Winner is unable to use the Prize or any element of the Prize as stated. If the Prize is not utilised by Tuesday 3 April 2018 it will be forfeited. b) Minor prizes will be ed to each winner within 2 business days of winner confirmation. This may appear in your junk folder if you are not used to receiving s from Ticketmaster. c) ShowLink tickets include a ride to the Easter Show via public transport. To plan your ride, visit d) Prize winners and their nominated companions must participate in and co-operate with all reasonable media editorial requests, including but not limited to, being interviewed and photographed, and the Winners grant the Promoter a perpetual and non-exclusive licence to use such footage and photographs in all media worldwide and the Winners will not be entitled to any fee for such use. e) No replacement will be made for any loss or theft of tickets. f) Fulfilment of the prize package must align with the terms and conditions of use stated by the Royal Agricultural Society of NSW detailed at 7News Ultimate Sydney Royal Easter Show Giveaway TC / 5

3 4.4 In accepting the Major Prize Package, the winner and their nominated companions must abide by the following conditions: a) This prize is event based and the winner and their companions must utilise the prize on the allocated date (Sunday 1 April 2018). The two-day Sydney Royal Easter Show entry passes should be used on Sunday 1 April 2018 and Monday 2 April 2018, however if the Winner of the Major Prize Package is not available to attend on Sunday 1 April 2018, the glamping experience will be forfeited and the two-day passes to the 2018 Sydney Royal Easter Show will be valid for any two consecutive days during the event. b) For daily Easter Show operating hours, see the website c) The prize is for two adults and two children. Adult ticket holders warrant that they are the parents or legal guardians of the children using the child tickets. For clarity, anyone aged 4-15 years may use a child ticket. These tickets can also be used by school students years who are in possession of a ROA School Pupil ID Card (Form 202) or valid School Transport Pass. Entry is free for children 3 years and under. d) Glamping experience includes: 5m x 5m Glamping tent for up to 4 people including 1 x Queen size bed with fresh linens and 2 x single beds with fresh linens Towels and face washers Toiletries (soap, shampoo, conditioner and moisturiser) Private toilet and shower unit Campground Host on site for the duration of the glamping experience Breakfast (eggs, bacon, fruit, muesli, tea, coffee and orange juice) Campground host Security on call 24/7 e) The winner will be provided with a prize letter that will outline the details/process on how to collect tickets and check in for the glamping experience. This letter will be sent by express post once the winner has been confirmed by the Seven marketing department. f) Access to the glamping tents will be from 8:30pm on Sunday 1 st April 2018 to 8:45am on Monday 2 nd April Prize winners and their nominated companions must participate in and co-operate with all reasonable media editorial requests, including but not limited to, being interviewed and photographed, and the Winners grant the Promoter a perpetual and non-exclusive licence to use such footage and photographs in all media worldwide and the Winners will not be entitled to any fee for such use. 4.7 The Prize Winners and their nominated companions agree they will not sell or otherwise provide their story and/or photographs to any media or other organisation. 4.8 It is a condition of accepting the Prize that the Winners and their nominated companions must comply with all the conditions of use of the Prize and the Promoter s requirements. 4.9 Prizes cannot be redeemed for cash and are not transferable or exchangeable Prize Winners must provide valid identification to the Promoter Unless expressly stated in these terms and conditions all other expenses related to the Prize become the responsibility of the Prize Winners and their nominated companions. Subject to the Prize stipulated in clause 4.2, the Prize Winners and their nominated companions are responsible for all expenses including but not limited to travel expenses, spending money, transfers, meals, drinks, ride passes, incidentals and all other ancillary costs Independent financial advice should be sought as tax implications may arise as a result of accepting the Prize The promoter may vary these terms and conditions at its discretion Full details of Prizes can be obtained by telephone the Seven Network in on Sydney HOW TO WIN 5.1 There will be twenty five (25) minor prize winners and one (1) major prize winner who will win a prize package as detailed in clause 4.2 from the national pool of SMS and 1902 qualifying entrants. Each entrant who has entered the Competition in accordance with clause 3.2 during the Competition Period using a mobile phone with a reply path and whose SMS message has passed through the Telco carriers network to Ansible Pty Ltd s database or phoned the 1902 number and registered all details required within the Competition dates and times as stated in clause 3.1 will be deemed as a qualifying entrant ( Qualifying Entrant ). 5.2 The twenty five (25) minor prize winners and one (1) major prize winner will be drawn on the dates and times outlined in 3.1 7News Ultimate Sydney Royal Easter Show Giveaway TC / 5

4 5.3 The Seven Network Marketing department will contact the major and minor prize winners by a phone call within two working days. 5.4 The Promoter s decision is final and the Promoter will not enter into correspondence regarding the result. 5.5 The Promoter may in its absolute discretion deem entries invalid subsequently to a Winner being notified or a Winner s name being announced if it is discovered that the Winner did not enter the Competition in accordance with these terms and conditions. 5.6 Any entrant found to have (a) be used any form of software or third party application to enter multiple times (including scripting software), (b) used a third party (including online competition entry site) to enter on their behalf or (c) entered incorrect contact details, will have all entries invalidated and any claim to the Prize will be invalidated. If such an entrant is awarded the Prize and then found to have breached this clause, the entrant must immediately return the Prize to the Promoter. The Promoter has sole discretion to determine if this clause has been breached by any entrant. The Promoter reserves the right to request whatever documentation it deems necessary to confirm if the entrant has breached this clause. An entrant must provide any requested documentation to the Promoter upon request. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights. 5.7 It is a condition of accepting the Prize that the Winner (and any companions) may be required to sign a legal release in a form determined by the Promoter in its absolute discretion. 5.8 This prize package is event based. Subject to state government legislation the winners must accept their prize by Tuesday 27 March 2018 at 16:00 AEDT. In the event of an unclaimed prize, an unclaimed prize draw will take place at Ansible Pty Ltd, Level 1, 16 Anster Street, Adelaide, South Australia 5000 on Tuesday 27 March 2018 at 16:30 AEDT and the winner/s will be notified by a phone call within two days of the draw and winner/s name/s will be announced on the Seven News Sydney website. 6. NO LIABILITY 6.1 In the case of the intervention of any outside act, agent or event which prevents or significantly hinders the Promoter s ability to proceed with the Competition on the dates and in the manner described in these terms and conditions, including but not limited to vandalism, power failures, tempests, natural disasters, acts of God, civil unrest, strike, war, act of terrorism, the Promoter may in its absolute discretion cancel the Competition and recommence it from the start on the same conditions, subject to state government legislation. 6.2 Seven Network (Operations) Limited and its associated agencies and companies will take no responsibility for Prizes damaged or lost in transit, or late, lost or misdirected mail. 6.3 Seven Network (Operations) Limited and its associated agencies and companies will not be liable for any misadventure, accident, injury, loss (including but not limited to consequential loss) or claim that may occur: a) whilst undertaking any travel won on or connected with their entry into the Competition; or b) in the acceptance or participation in any Prize; c) as a consequence of late, lost or misdirected mail; d) due to the broadcast of any program relating to the Competition or the publication of any material, including any statements made by any compere, staff member, journalist, other entrants or any other person. e) in relation to failure of an SMS entry message to be received by the Promoter on account of technical problems or traffic congestion; or f) in relation to any damage or loss to Entrant's or any other person's computer software, computer equipment or internet connection resulting from or related to participation in this Promotion; g) any variation in Prize value to that stated in these Terms and Conditions; h) any technical difficulties, technical error or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter s control); or any error, omission, interruption, deletion, delay, defect, theft, unauthorised access or third party interference. 6.4 Seven Network (Operations) Limited and its associated agencies and companies assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of entries, and reserves the right to take any action that may be available, subject to state government legislation. 6.5 If for any reason the Competition is not capable of running as planned, due to causes including but not limited to tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupt or affect the administration security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Competition, the Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, take any action that may be available, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Competition, subject to state government legislation. 6.6 By entering the competition, and by participating in a prize, the prize winner acknowledges and accepts that driving, travel and any other activities comprising the prize, are inherently dangerous and may result 7News Ultimate Sydney Royal Easter Show Giveaway TC / 5

5 in death, injury, incapacity, damage to property or other losses. Neither the Promoter is not responsible for any acts of god, such as adverse weather conditions or industrial action or civil commotion that may occur whilst the prize winner is travelling. It is the responsibility of the prize-winner to enquire about local issues and conditions at destinations prior to travel. 7. Ansible Pty Ltd (in respect of 1902 and SMS entries) on behalf of Seven Network (Operations) Limited (ABN ) and its related entities ( Seven ), is collecting your personal information for the purpose of conducting and promoting this Competition, including for the purpose of identifying and notifying winners and understanding our audiences. Seven will otherwise handle your personal information in accordance with Seven s Privacy Policy which is available on our website at (and which contains information regarding how you can access your personal information, correct it and/ or make a complaint about our handling of your personal information). By providing your personal information below, you agree to the terms of the Privacy Policy. Without limiting the foregoing, Seven may disclose the entrant s personal information to its related entities, business partners and external service providers for research and profiling purposes as well as other purposes reasonably related to the entrant s relationship with Seven. In addition, by entering this competition, you consent to Seven using your personal information for the purpose of Seven and its related entities sending you information regarding programs, products and services available through them and/ or through their business partners, and to Seven from time to time sharing your personal information with carefully selected business partners for the purpose of them sending you such information directly.
