1 2012 Skirmish at Tannehill is proud to announce that the Skirmish at Tannehill Reenactment will be held May 26 th 27 th, 2012, at the site of the furnace that provided iron for the Selma Arsenal. All amenities will be provided including hay for horses, firewood, showers and modern bath facilities. Modern camping is also available with water and electrical hook-ups for RVs at an additional cost. Artillery will be limited and is by invitation only. Alabama Historic Ironworks Commission Guidelines and Safety Rules will be in effect. This historical event was overwhelmingly union participants. Galvanizing for CS Units required for at least one battle. If you are not willing to galvanize please do not register for this event. Number of Expected Participants (List on back) Military Medical Horses/Mules Civilians Registration will begin at 7:30 AM on Friday. RV (water/electrical) camping is available at the park on a first come first served basis at a cost of $21 per night. 4 2012 Skirmish at Tannehill RELEASE, IDEMNITY AND ASSIGNMENT Name (Print) Unit I, (and if a minor, the parent or legal guardian whose signature appears below), in consideration of the acceptance of my participation in the Skirmish at Tannehill Reenactment, do hereby agree to release and hold harmless the 33 rd Alabama Infantry, the Alabama Division of Reenactors, Tannehill Ironworks Historical State park and the Alabama Historic Ironworks Commission, their agents and employees, all spectators and participants in the Skirmish at Tannehill Reenactment and all persons upon whose property the Skirmish at Tannehill Reenactment is conducted and the agents, employees, volunteers, officers. Directors, members, licensees or assigns of any of the foregoing (collective, the Released Parties ) for any injury, death, property damage or financial loss of any kind received or suffered by me due to participation in the Skirmish at Tannehill Reenactment, regardless of whether such injury, death, damage or loss arises from the negligence of any Released Party or otherwise. I also agree to indemnify and hold harmless all Released Parties for any injury, death, property damage or financial loss of any kind caused by me through my participation in the Skirmish at Tannehill Reenactment. Reenacting may be considered a hazardous activity and I am aware of, and assume, all potential risks associated with such activity. I understand that the Alabama Historic Ironworks Commission makes no warranty, expressed or implied, as to the safety or use of any equipment, materials or other property used or supplied by any of the Released Parties during the Skirmish at Tannehill. I also agree to assign to the Alabama Historic Ironworks Commission or its assigns, the right to use my image in recorded photographic images of the Skirmish at Tannehill Reenactment without restriction and do hereby waive all rights to compensation for the same. This release, indemnity and assignment shall be binding upon my successors and assigns. I agree to abide by the laws and rules of The State of Alabama, Jefferson, Tuscaloosa and Bibb Counties, and The Skirmish at Tannehill Reenactment. I understand that failure to do so will result in expulsion form the Skirmish at Tannehill, Tannehill Ironworks Historical State Park and potential recourse from County and State officials.
