1 2017 FIM MOTOTOUR OF NATIONS SUPPLEMENTARY REGULATIONS Reg. 1 The 2017 FIM Mototour of Nations is organized by the Motorcyclists Club of Ioannina - LEMI, on behalf of the AMOTOE (FMNR), Hellenic Sporting Motorcyclists Association The meeting will be held from the 7 September until 11 September 2017 according to the FIM Code for Touristic Gatherings (hereafter known as CTG) Category 1.4 FIM Mototour of Nations section; to the FIM regulations, FMNR Regulations and to these Supplementary Regulations. It will take place at the Geographic Region of Epirus GREECE. Subsequent meetings will be fixed by the Executive Committee. Reg. 2 Participation in the Mototour of Nations The number of participants will be limited to % of participants must be non Greek motorcyclists, with a view to promote the Epirus region internationally. Entries will be accepted from March 2017 to June The main focus of travel along the chosen itineraries will be that of ensuring participants safety. Participants will be split into groups of up to fifty bikes, each group accompanied by an escort of at least 3 riders, at a steady tourist speed, with frequent stop-offs as per the program. Major junctions will be manned, and the road selected will be tarmacked and suitable for motorcycling in any weather. Over the three days the total distance travelled will be around 700km. Reg. 3 Entries Entries must be sent by no later than 25 June 2017, with payment of the full amount and sending of the entry form FIM MOTOTOUR OF NATIONS SUPPLEMENTARY REGULATIONS 1

2 Reg. 3.1 Individual entries will be made on the form available for this purpose (or the duplicate) which will be delivered to the FMNs by the organizer (Art. 3 of the Category 1.4 of the CTG). Form will also be published on the website together with the final program. The FMNs will return the entry forms to the organizer after verification (see address in Reg. 1.1). Reg. 3.2 National Delegates Reg. 3.3 Each participating FMN should nominate one delegate holder of Tourism Steward s license. The nomination shall be made in writing to the organizer at least 30 days before the event. The FMNs will also add a summary list of the members entered; the sum paid for the entry fee and for the accommodation in accordance with Reg. 7. Summary list is to be delivered in electronic table format Excel giving the following information: Reg. 4 Entry Fee 1. Names of participants 2. Amounts paid for registration 3. Distance of Moto Club from the Event center 4. Motorcycle make 5. License number 6. type of bike 7. address of national delegate. The entry fee is fixed by the Federation of the participant. This is composed of the organizer s fee 250 Euro, any other supplement, plus any administrative expenses which may be added by the FMN. The amount is fixed in Euro. Children between the ages of 8 and 12 will pay 50% of the adult entrance fee. Children under the age of 8 will be admitted free of charge. 3 Reg. 5 Closing date for entries The deadline for the entries is 25 June Entries may be accepted after this date at the discretion of the Executive Committee. If accepted, additional charges may apply for late entries (up to 25%). Reg. 6 Gifts, souvenirs and services for the participants Participant who has paid the entry fee through FMNs receives the minimal benefits listed in Art. 4 of the category 1.4 of the CTG. List of benefits: Participation in the FIM Mototour of Nations 2017 Accommodation in the Epirus Palace 5* Hotel ( for the duration of the event (4 nights) in double or twin rooms. 1 st day (7/9): dinner 2 nd day (8/9): breakfast, lunch, dinner 3 rd day (9/9): breakfast, lunch, dinner 4 th day (10/9): breakfast, lunch, Gala dinner with Red Carpet commemorative picture. Last day (11/9): breakfast Souvenir medal or pin or commemorative plaque or ornament. Other souvenirs at the discretion of the organizer. Reg. 7 Accommodations Hotel reservations are included in the entry fee, and must be paid in full (100%) before 25 June 2017 to the bank account given in Reg. 4. There is a single room supplement of 35 per day. All payments will be in Euros ( ) and must cover all bank transfer costs. Reg. 8 Welcome / Administrative Centre The Administrative Centre will be open on the 7 September 2017 from 12:00h till 18:00hin the Hotel grounds. Please check the Mototour Web site to get more information on how to get there! Reg. 9 Prizes Reg. 9.1 Prizes to be awarded The following prizes will be awarded: 1. National Federation 2. Club 3. 4 In detail, ranking rules are: a) Each rider acquires 1 point per km travelled from rider s club HQ, plus 1 point per km travelled on the three legs of the Tour. b) The National Federation ranking is calculated as the sum of scores obtained by single riders belonging to the National Federation. c) The Club ranking is calculated as the sum of scores obtained by single riders belonging to the same national club. The results will be displayed two hours before the prize giving ceremony, at the place of gala dinner on 10th of September. Executive Committee will be available to National Delegates to deal with any objections to results, up to 30 minutes prior to the final prizegiving ceremony. Reg. 9.2 Disqualifications Under supervision of the Executive Committee, participants can be officially disqualified if necessary. Decision of the Executive Committee will be final on this matter. Reg Prize-Giving Ceremony This will take place during the Gala Dinner on the evening of Sunday, 10 September Reg. 9.4 Awards National Federation Classification: the FIM/Mototour of Nations Trophy (made available by the Organizing Federation) will be given to the winning Federation; second and third ranked Federations will receive a cup ; National Club Classification: the MCP Trophy will be given to the winning Club; second and third ranked Clubs will receive a cup ; Age classification: The three youngest and three oldest riders will be given cups or trophies. Women Trophy: All women riders will be given a cup or trophy The Mototour of Nations organizers may present certain other awards at the discretion of the Executive Committee. Reg. 10 Cancellation Reg 10.1 Cancellation of Meeting According to Art. 2.7 of the General Part of the CTG. The organizer can cancel the meeting: if, at the closing date, the number of entries is below 100. in the case of absolute necessity FIM MOTOTOUR OF NATIONS SUPPLEMENTARY REGULATIONS 4

5 In the case of cancellation of the meeting, the participants who transmitted their entry forms before the closing entry date, through FMNs will be notified and reimbursed through the FMN. Reg 10.2 Cancellation of registration by participant In case of individual registration cancelling, it shall be made by the FNM of the participant and shall be delivered to the Organizer no later than 1 July In this case 90% of the registration fee will be refunded. 50% will be refunded if cancellation is between 1 July 2017 and 31 July After 31 July 2017 no reimbursement is available. Reg 11 Liability of the Authorities, Organizers and Participants According to Art. 4 of the General Part of the CTG. Reg. 12 Rider Conduct and Protection of the Environment Participants of the FIM Mototour of Nations are motorcyclist ambassadors for their country and are expected to consider other road users in accordance with Art. 3 of the General Part of the CTG. All governing laws and regulations should be respected. Recommendations to Road Users Motorcyclists are expected to consider other road users (CTG Art.3). Article 11.2 of the Environment Code Rider Conduct: a) Individual motorcyclists should develop riding habits to ensure full integration with other types of road users. b) Ride safely and avoid aggressive and competitive riding. c) Save petrol and reduce pollution by avoiding unnecessary idling of engines. d) Ride politely and limit noise pollution by using your horn only in an emergency. e) Noise annoyance. Use standard or another quiet exhaust system and keep audio systems at a low level. f) Use only routes which are open to motorcyclists. g) Ride like a professional by riding at a quiet and unobtrusive pace when riding in groups. h) Respect nature by not travelling on paths which risk being damaged beyond a point of natural recovery FIM MOTOTOUR OF NATIONS SUPPLEMENTARY REGULATIONS 5

6 i) Protect wildlife and its natural habitat by riding intelligently. j) Ensure that your used oil, tyres, batteries and other recyclable items are properly recycled. k) Encourage a rational use of fuel and space economy by using motorcycles instead of driving automobiles. l) Remember that our cities and our roads are not circuits. Reg. 13 Other The English version of this document is always determinative. EXTRAS: 1. Rafting in Voidomatis The organizer has come to an agreement with aprofessional rafting company and offers the participants who so wish, the chance to go rafting or canoeing in the crystal-clear waters of Voidomatis, the cleanest river in Europe, either on Monday 11/7 for those who wish to prolong their stay for a day, or on Thursday 7/11 for those wishing to arrive a day earlier. The extra cost is 120 per person (in double room) and covers everything, i.e. the extra night at the hotel with breakfast, dinner, light lunch, transfer to and from the river, the use of rafting gear and the rafting itself, as well as action pictures and video. The minimum number of participants is 20 per day, max 80 per day. 2. Getting to Greece via Italy by ferry Ferrytraveler.gr is sponsoring the Mototour and offers special discount to participants who will cross the Adriatic Sea. Ferries from Italy (Trieste, Venice, Ancona) arrive daily to Igoumenitsa (69 km from Ioannina). Upon arrival at Igoumenitsa Port, participants will be welcomed by the organizer and escorted to the Hotel by marshals. Special rates will also apply to the Barcelona - Civitavecchia route. 3. Airport transfer for pillion riders The organizer will provide transfer to and from the international airports that are closest to Ioannina, Aktion (IATA code PVK) and Thessaloniki (IATA code SKG). 7 depend on the number of people to be transferred at the same time, max 60 per person each way. 4. Bike Rental For those wishing to Fly & Ride, the organizer has come to agreement with two bikerental companies in Athens, providing a wide range of new or almost new bikes at competitive prices, and Bike pick-up can be arranged either in Athens airport (IATA code ATH) or in the city of Athens. 5. Prolonged stay Participants who wish to either arrive earlier or prolong their stay will benefit the same special prices for their accommodation and will also be given extra guided tours by the organizer FIM MOTOTOUR OF NATIONS SUPPLEMENTARY REGULATIONS 7
