And thank you for purchasing this Off-roading Trail Guide! We wanted to collect all the information one would need to decide the most valuable off-roading trail that are in their state to make an educated decision and prevent any surprises. (What do you mean ATV s aren t allowed on these trails?!) We have included important information such as: A) Are permits required? B) What Climate Type? C) How Many Miles are these trails (according to their websites) D) What times of the year are they open? E) Is there a standing entry fee? If so, How much? F) What other vehicles are allowed on these trails? G) UTVs? SXS? ATVs? SUV/Jeeps? Dune Buggies? Sand Rails? H) And contact information, with a small blurb about the trial itself, highlighting any important things to keep in mind such as: Are there bathrooms available, garbage service, etc. I) A Star-rating, on a scale from 1-5, on the overall value of the trail With all of that information, we feel that all of our valued customers in Hawaii will be able to make an informed decision as to where to spend their precious Offroad Time. 4 Hilo MX Track (Hilo, HI) ( ) Located on the Big Island of Hawaii, this track is situated behind the county landfill and is managed by 808MX/ATV Association and is open for practice on Wednesdays, Fridays and some weekends. Climate Type Miles Long Dates Open Entry Fee? No Urban/Manmade 56 Wednesday, Friday and select weekends 10am- 4pm Motorcycles Prohibited Prohibited Prohibited Club membership as well as insurance obtained through the Riders Network is required to gain access to the track. Practice is $5/person.

5 Kahuku Motocross Park (Sunset Beach, HI) ( ) Located on beautiful Oahu Island, this offroad park has a natural terrain motocross and peewee track plus miles of earthy reddish colored trails that wind through a hilly tropical forest and overlooks the Pacific Ocean. Climate Type Miles Long Dates Open Entry Fee? No Urban/Manmade 1 Saturday & Sunday 8am-6pm Holiday&Weekends Motorcycles Prohibited Prohibited Prohibited The park is open Saturday and Sunday from 8am to 6pm and during holiday weekends. Annual membership is around $30/rider.

6 Maui Raceway Park (Kihei, HI) ( ) Located on the beautiful island of Maui, this track is open to both quads and motorcycles and practice is held on Wednesdays from 10:30am to 5:30 and weekends from 10am to 5:30pm. A MMA membership is required to access the track which is around $80/year. Climate Type Miles Long Dates Open Entry Fee? No Urban/Manmade 1/4 Wednesdays from 10:30am to 5:30 and weekends from 10am to 5:30pm Motorcycles Prohibited Prohibited Prohibited The track's race season runs from February through November, with ten events scheduled for each season. The popular weekend events feature approximately 150 racers and over 2000 spectators.

7 Sand Island State Park OHV Area (Honolulu, HI) ( ) This park is currently open to BMX and RC users. The motocross and ATV tracks are set to open to the public in the near future. The fee to use the RC track is $10 and the BMX track is $5 (ABA membership is required). Climate Type Miles Long Dates Open Entry Fee? Not Stated Urban/Manmade 5 Year-Round Motorcycles Nearby Sand Island State Recreation Area offers a beach area, boat ramp and primitive camping however a permit is required which can be obtained by contacting the Division of State Parks.

8 Upper Waiakea ATV and Dirt Bike Park (Hilo, HI) ( ) Located on the slopes of the largest volcano on earth, this OHV area offers about 56 miles of marked ATV and motorcycle trails. Vegetation is lush and trails can be very muddy during wet weather. The staging area has restroom and garbage facilities. A permit is required before entering the park and can be obtained by contacting the Division of Forestry & Wildlife in Hilo or Waimea... Climate Type Miles Long Dates Open Entry Fee? Yes Forest 56 Daily dawn - dusk Motorcycles Prohibited Prohibited The park is open daily during daylight hours but overnight parking is prohibited. Camping can be found at nearby Namakanipaio Campground which offers a large grassy area with tall trees and basic camping amenities.

9 Wailua MX Track (Wailua, HI) ( ) Located right next to the Pacific Ocean, this track is open for practice during weekends and holidays from 10am to 6pm. Club membership is recommended but not required to practice or race - membership is about $100/person and allows direct access to the track for $5/person. Climate Type Miles Long Dates Open Entry Fee? No Urban/Manmade 2 Weekends 10am-6pm Motorcycles Prohibited Prohibited Prohibited Non-members pay around $25/person to ride the track. Quads are permitted and a flat track is available. Kauai Motocross Riders Association manages the track and holds race events throughout the year.
