PATTERN NOTES Pattern is written in US terminology. Work ch1 at the beginning of sc rounds. This doesn t count as a stitch. The ch2 at beginning of row counts as a space not a stitch. The ch2 forming the corner is not included in the stitch count. To make counting easier you will only count the sc s. All sc s will be made in the chain spaces of the previous row. Row will each have 100 sc s, thereafter you will decrease 1 sc per row. Colour changes are indicated on the chart; finish the last st of the row and then pull up new the new colour. All stitch counts and colour changes are in a chart at the end of this pattern. INSTRUCTIONS With a 4.00mm hook, make 198 ch. Row 1: Work 1sc in the 2 nd ch from hook, *ch1, sk 1, sc in next ch*, rep from * across, ch 2 and work 1sc in the same ch as last sc (corner made). Don t turn. (Note: Place marker in first ch this is where you will make your last st in next row) Row 2: Ch2, turn. Work (1sc, sk next sc, 1sc in the next sp* rep from * across omitting the ch between last 2 sc s. Don t turn. Row 3: Ch1, turn. Sk the next 2 sc s, 1sc in the first sp, ch1, (move marker), *1sc in next sp, ch1, sk the next sc*, rep from * to corner, (1sc, ch2, 1sc) in the corner sp, ch1, sk the next sc, 1sc in the last sp. Don t turn. Row 4: Ch2, turn. Work 1sc in the sp, ch1, sk the next sc, (1sc, sk the next sc, 1sc in the next sp* rep from * across, omitting the ch between last 2 sc s. Don t turn.
