6 SEASON NOTES/HIGHLIGHTS It Was Only Three Weeks Ago It s not likely that Arkansas has forgotten that LSU snatched the last game away, much like #25 Texas A&M did to the Lady Tigers last Sunday In both games, the team that led for over 30 minutes of the game, did not come away with the win LSU and Arkansas met in Fayetteville on Jan 8, and the Razorbacks held the lead for 38 minutes of the contest Here is how the end of the game played out: Chloe Jackson came up with a steal and the layup to give the Lady Tigers their first lead of the game, 52-51, with 82 seconds left in the game Malica Monk hit a free throw for Arkansas to tie the game at 52 Alexis Hyder was fouled before LSU could toss the ball in and was sent to the line with the score tied, 52-52, with 27 seconds remaining in the game She missed the first shot and hit the second for the lead On the final possession of the game, Chloe Jackson deflected the ball and got a piece of Devin Cosper s three-point attempt Other Key Stats From LSU-Arkansas Game The win snapped Arkansas four-game winning streak over LSU LSU shot 288% (17-59) from the field & Arkansas shot 37% (17-46) LSU forced Arkansas to turn the ball over 26 times and registered 18 steals LSU also scored 18 points off the miscues LSU held Jessica Jackson to just 6 points She was averaging 172 ppg coming into the game Both teams went to the line 20+ times LSU was and Arkansas was Moncrief Enters 1,000-Point Club Junior Raigyne Moncrief became the 32nd Lady Tiger to log 1,000 career points at #25 Texas A&M She entered the game needing just 10 points and scored 18 in the heartbreaking loss to the Aggies Moncrief achieved her 1,000th point in her 85th career game in purple and gold She will be presented a commemorative ball prior to Sunday s game LSU #1 Nationally in Steals;
