3 STAFF head coach Terri Williams-Flournoy was named head coach of Georgetown s women s basketball program on Aug. 27, 2004, becoming just the sixth women s basketball head coach in the history of the program. It was a homecoming for Williams-Flournoy as she began her collegiate coaching career as an assistant coach with the Hoyas in The stint lasted until 1996 when she moved on to the University of Georgia. In her first season at the helm of the Hoyas, Williams-Flournoy compiled a overall record and a 7-9 mark in BIG EAST Conference play. GU closed out the regular season by winning six of its last nine games. Georgetown finished tied for sixth in the league standings, and forward Kierrah Marlow was named to the All-BIG EAST Freshman Team. Williams-Flournoy put together a 12-year record of success as an assistant coach at Georgetown, Georgia ( ) and Southwest Missouri State ( ). She has been a part of three teams that have made nine NCAA Tournament appearances including a Final Four (1999) and two regional finals appearances (1997, 2000) with Georgia, and Georgetown s Sweet 16 run in Overall, Williams-Flournoy s record as an assistant coach was Along with her achievements on the court, Williams-Flournoy has been a leader in producing all-around studentathletes and monitoring academic achievement. This past season, her Hoyas boasted a team grade point average of 3.0. At Southwest Missouri State, Williams-Flournoy organized the academic monitoring of student-athletes and helped the team achieve a team GPA of over 3.0. She was also in charge of academic enrichment programs while at Georgia and with Georgetown. During her two seasons at Southwest Missouri State, Williams-Flournoy worked with head coach Katie Abrahamson- Henderson and was a part of two-straight NCAA Tournaments and two consecutive Missouri Valley Conference Tournament Championships. During Williams-Flournoy s tenure, the Bulldogs won Southeastern Conference titles in 1997 and 2000, the SEC tournament in 2001 and produced seven current WNBA players. Williams-Flournoy s four-year stint at Georgetown saw the Hoyas achieve great success in her first season ( ), as Georgetown earned a BIG EAST Championship and its first-ever bid to the NCAA Tournament, finishing the year with a 23-7 overall mark. As a Georgetown assistant she was responsible for all aspects of recruiting and scouting along with conditioning, game planning and academic monitoring. She also coached current GU assistant Niki Reid. A 1991 graduate of Penn State University with a degree in business management, Williams-Flournoy was a four-year letterwinner in basketball for the Lady Lions. Penn State won the Atlantic 10 Conference championship in each of Williams-Flournoy s last two seasons as a player and was a participant in the NCAA Tournament in three of Williams-Flournoy s four seasons. In 1988, 1990 and 1991 Williams-Flournoy and the Lady Lions advanced to the second round of the NCAA tournament before falling to Auburn, Virginia and James Madison, respectively. Williams-Flournoy, a native of Hampton, Va., and her husband, Eric, have a daughter, Maya, and a son, Eric, Jr. and live in Waldorf, Md. 38

5 istant STAFF coach NIKI REID Former standout Georgetown guard and assistant coach Niki Reid returned to the Hilltop in September of 2004 for her second stint as an assistant coach with the women s basketball program. As Georgetown s top assistant coach, Reid s main focus is the backcourt as well as recruiting and fundraising. Reid served for two years as an assistant at Fordham University prior to joining the GU coaching staff. Prior to the two campaigns at Fordham, Reid completed six seasons ( ) with the Hoyas as an assistant coach, recruiting coordinator, and academic advisor. During her tenure at Georgetown as defensive coordinator and guard coach, she helped the Hoyas to three WNIT appearances, while having four guards earn postseason honors in the BIG EAST. She also had eight players earn All-BIG EAST All-Academic accolades. As a player, Reid was tri-captain of Georgetown s team that advanced to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament and finished the season with a 23-7 record. The Hoyas were 15-3 in the BIG EAST to gain a share of the regular season conference championship as well. Reid was a four-year starter at point guard and upon graduating in 1993 with a degree in psychology, she left Georgetown as the school s leader in assists and three-point field goal percentage. She played in 111 games in her career and scored 744 points to go along with 161 steals. During her four seasons Reid was honored with the Coaches Award as the team s Most Valuable Player in the season, was the recipient of the team s Best Defensive Player award for the campaign and was the winner of the Hustle Award in both and In 2002, Reid began her second stint at Fordham. She first served as an assistant with the Rams during the season. In , Reid s first year as the top assistant at Fordham, the Rams accomplished a long list of firsts. Among the firsts accomplished by the squad included their first back-to-back Atlantic 10 road wins and their first four-game winning streak in Atlantic 10 play. Fordham also put together two four-game winning streaks on the year for the first time since , swept an Atlantic 10 opponent for the first time since , and picked up their first-ever win at Saint Joseph s, a perennial Atlantic 10 power. Also during her time at Fordham, two players, Mobolaji Akiode and Monica Mack, were named Atlantic 10 Most Improved Player in 2003 and 2004, respectively. College Career Two-year letterwinner, University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, Two-years, University of Richmond, College Degree B.A. in secondary education, 1995 Coaching Career Assistant Coach, Georgetown University, 2005-present Assistant Coach, St. Louis University, , Head Coach, Ulriken Eagles (Bergen, Norway), Professional Playing Career Team Vulon, Taiwan, Ulriken Eagles, Norway, Ty Evans joined the Georgetown University women s basketball program in September 2005 as an assistant coach. He brings five years of high level coaching and playing experience to the position. In addition to his coaching duties, Evans will focus on recruiting, coordinate scouting and scheduling of opponents, and will head the preseason and postseason conditioning. Prior to Georgetown, Evans had two stints as an assistant coach at St. Louis University, from the through the seasons. Responsibilities included the coordinator of preseason and postseason individual instruction, scheduling, director of summer camps, film exchange and team travel. Evans was also responsible for the development of post players and played an integral role in recruiting. During the season, Evans was the head coach of the Ulkiken Eagles, based in Bergen, Norway, of the Norwegian Professional Men s League. It was his second career stop in Norway as he was a former player for the team and won the team s MVP award in Evans spent one more year playing professionally overseas in Taiwan in before focusing on his coaching career. His coaching time began as an assistant high school basketball coach at Beloit Memorial High in Beloit, Wis., where he assisted both the junior varsity and varsity. Evans spent the following year as an assistant basketball coach at Turner High School in Beloit, where he also served as head boys and girls coach for the eighth grade teams. Evans has been integral in helping promote the game of basketball, founding Krossover Basketball Inc. based in Janesville, Wis., in Krossover Basketball used basketball as a vehicle to teach youngsters the value of conflict resolution, time management and vocational training while promoting the game of basketball through the AAU component of the organization. He also continues to run his First Step Basketball Camp during the summer in his hometown of Beloit, while also serving as the Director of the Amare Stoudemire Basketball Camp (June 2005). Evans graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater in 1995 with a degree in secondary education and was a two-year basketball team captain along with being named a First-Team All- American in Evans is single and resides in Woodbridge, Va. 40

7 STAFF istant coach BETH DICKINSON Beth Dickinson became a member of the Georgetown women s basketball coaching staff in July Dickinson arrives at the Hilltop from Fordham University. She will assist coach Williams-Flournoy with recruiting, coaching the backcourt and player personnel. Dickinson spent the season as an assistant coach at her alma mater, Fordham, after briefly serving as the director of women s basketball operations. During the previous five summers, Dickinson has helped coordinate and run the Hoops America Basketball Camps in South Plainfield, N.J. run by her coaching mentor Rich Leary. She has also assisted coach Leary with the under-15 New Jersey Demons AAU team. She finished her collegiate playing career in at Fordham, playing her final two seasons for the Rams after transferring from St. Peter s College in Jersey City, N.J. In her four years as a collegiate student-athlete, Dickinson recorded over 1,000 points. In her final year at Fordham she averaged 12.8 points a game and shot 89% from the free throw line, which was the second-best single season mark in Fordham history. As a Ram, she was a captain of the team both her junior and senior years, scoring 677 points, an average of better than 11 points per game, in her two seasons. Dickinson was an Academic All-Atlantic 10 honoree, the first Fordham women s basketball player to earn academic all-conference honors. A native of Milltown N.J., Dickinson was a standout student-athlete at Spotswood High School in neighboring Spotswood, N.J. She is the school s all-time leading scoring with over 2,100 points, having garnered First Team All- State honors and leading her team to a their first-ever regional championship as a senior. Dickinson graduated from Fordham in 2004 with a dual degree in finance and marketing, and consistantly made the University s Dean s List. Dickinson currently lives in Arlington, Va. 8 STAFF bask ball operations ADRIENNE HARRIS MOORE Adrienne Harris Moore joined the coaching staff as Director of Operations in August of Harris will concentrate on the day-to-day operations of the office, including team travel arrangements, equipment issues and film exchange. Moore comes to Georgetown from U-Turn, Inc., in Richmond, Va., where she was an intern to the Director of Operations. Her duties included interviewing, training and scheduling staff, as well as assisting with marketing and promotional campaigns and fundraising initiatives. She was also the liaison between the U-Turn operations department and its board of directors. Prior to U-Turn, Moore was a recreation instructor for Henrico County Recreation & Parks in Henrico, Va., from December 2004 until August She also worked as an assistant director for the Vanessa Blair Basketball Camp in Emmitsburg, Md. A terrific athlete and student, Moore graduated from Mount St. Mary s magna cum laude in 2004 with a B.S. in business management. A member of Delta Epsilon Sigma Honor Society, she earned the John McClendon Minority Postgraduate Scholarship Award in Moore was also a member of the Delta Mu Delta Honor Society and selected to the Northeast Conference Honor Roll. In addition, she was a participant in the NCAA Leadership Conference (2004) and President of the Mount Fellowship of Christian Athletes ( ). Moore was a four-year starter on Mount St. Mary s women s basketball team from 2000 to She was the fourth player in Mount history to record at least 1,300 points, 300 assists and 200 steals. She earned a spot on the Northeast Conference All-Rookie team in 2001 and was named to Mount St. Mary s 30th Anniversary Team. Moore earned an M.S. in sports leadership at Virginia Commonwealth University with a concentration in sports management, which she completed in August of Moore and her husband, DeMario Moore, reside in Ft. 9 STAFF su ort Staff DARYL SHAMBOURGER Administrative Assistant Daryl Shambourger begins his seventh year with the women s basketball program, handling day-to-day office operations and other aspects of the program. Shambourger began his career at Georgetown in 1991, working as a receptionist in the men s basketball office for nine seasons. He lives in Washington, D.C. and has a 13-year old daughter Nia. RENEE CARTER Associate Sports Information Director / Women s Basketball Contact Renee Carter came to Georgetown University in December 1987, where she worked at Georgetown Hospital in the Office of the Hospital Administrator. In August 1989, she began her tenure in the Sports Information office. In the process of moving up from Administrative Assistant to Associate Sports Information Director, Carter has worked with all 27 of the University s sports programs. In addition, she has served as Assistant Director of Hoyas Unlimited and worked as Media Coordinator for the 2002 NCAA Men s Basketball Tournament s First and Second round games at the MCI Center. Carter s current responsibilities include acting as primary media contact and University spokesperson for the volleyball, women s basketball and women s lacrosse programs. Carter is a 1986 graduate of the University of North Carolina-Wilmington where she earned a bachelor of science in marketing. BEN SHOVE Assistant Sports Information Director / Women s Basketball Contact Benjamin Shove is in his first year with the Georgetown Athletics Department after spending as the Sports Information Director at Wagner College in Staten Island, N.Y. Shove will serve as the primary contact for the men s soccer, track and field and cross country and baseball teams, and as the secondary contact for women s basketball. While at Wagner, Shove oversaw all media inquiries and athletic publications for Wagner s 22 Division I varsity sports, serving as the primary contact for football, men s basketball, swimming and women s lacrosse teams, while handling publicity for the 2000 baseball team that made the school s first-ever NCAA Division I Tournament. He played a vital role as a committee member of the Seahawk Golf Classic and the Wagner College Athletics Hall of Fame and was instrumental in developing a new department website. Shove is a 1998 graduate of Marist College, where the communications major was a four-year letterwinner on the Red Fox baseball team that made the school s first-ever NCAA Tournament appearance in A Connecticut native, he is a member of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) and earned his MBA in 2002 from Wagner. ALEX BOETTGER Manager Alex Boettger begins his first year as a manager for the Georgetown women s basketball team. A junior in the McDonough School of Business, Boettger is working on his bachelor of science in marketing. He is a graduate of AF North High School in the Netherlands, where he was a three-sport athlete in basketball, soccer and tennis. EVAN THOMAS Manager This season will be Evan Thomas first season as a manager for the Georgetown women s basketball team. A native of Pomfrey, Md., Thomas is a junior marketing major in the McDonough School of Business. Prior to Georgetown at McDonogh High School, he was a letterwinner in basketball and track and field. JOSEPHINE MAZYCK Manager Josephine Mazyck is beginning her first year at the Hilltop, as she is a freshman psychology major in Georgetown College. Mazyck is a recent graduate of Burke High School in Charleston, S.C., where she was a four-sport athlete, as a letterwinner in basketball, softball, track and field and volleyball. 43

10 STAFF su ort staff DENNIS WILLIAMS Director of the Center for Minority Educational Affairs Associate Dean of Students Dennis A. Williams is the Director of the Center for Minority Educational Affairs and a lecturer in the English department. He also oversees the Community Scholars program, which aids incoming freshmen with the academic challenges of transitioning from high school to college. Williams has taught writing for more than 17 years and has extensive experience in providing academic support services for students at the college level. A former editor for Newsweek magazine, Williams has published both fiction and nonfiction books. DIANA KEITH Athletic Trainer Diana Keith is in the midst of her fifth season at Georgetown as an assistant athletic trainer. However, this marks the first season where she will be responsible for the care and prevention of athletic injuries for the Hoya women s basketball program. Keith came to the Hilltop from Florida A&M University, where she was also an assistant athletic trainer, working primarily with women s athletics, in particular the women s basketball team. A native of Southern California, Keith is a 1993 graduate of Mankato State University in Minnesota, where she earned a Bachelors of Science degree in athletic training. She went on to receive her Masters degree in kinesiology from San Jose State University in 1999, while working as a graduate assistant in athletic training at Stanford University. A member of the National Athletic Trainers Association, Keith, in addition to women s basketball, is responsible for women s soccer and softball. A. LEIGH MAURELLI Head Strength & Conditioning Coach Augie Leigh Maurelli joined the Georgetown athletic department staff in January of 2001 as a strength and conditioning coach of the football program. In the fall of 2003, Maurelli assumed the title of strength and conditioning coach for all Hoya student-athletes. Maurelli has created programs specific to Georgetown that monitor, motivate and coach the development of all Georgetown studentathletes with regards to strength, speed and conditioning. Prior to his arrival at the Hilltop, Maurelli played four years of varsity football at Johns Hopkins, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering in 1997 and subsequently served as an assistant football coach for three years. In 1996 he set several university records, including a combined lift of 1,380 pounds in the bench press, clean and squat. In 2002, Maurelli received a Master of Business Administration degree in finance from Georgetown University s McDonough School of Business. In addition to professional positions that he held at Johnson Controls in Baltimore from , Goldman Sachs & Co. in New York during the summer of 2001, and his current position as a Research Associate at MCG Capital in Washington, D.C., Maurelli is also a certified USOC Competitor and Coach, CSCS, registered USWF lifter and has been featured in Ironman magazine. 44
