Maric s four-game double-double streak is NIU s longest since Marcus Smallwood recorded double-doubles in six-straight games from Jan. 8, 2003 to Jan. 29, Over the last seven games, Aaric Armstead is averaging 14.7 points per game, shooting 44.6 percent (33-of-74) from the field, 43.8 percent (14-of-32) from three and 76.7 percent (23-of-30) from the free-throw line. Travon Baker has not missed a game in his NIU career, appearing in 117-straight, tied for the most games played in NIU history with Anthony Maestranzi and Todd Peterson ( ), which includes 92 career starts. With 170 career steals, Travon Baker has become the NIU career steals leader, passing Ronald Minter s ( ) old mark of 163 with his first steal at Miami (Jan. 30). 3 ABOUT BOWLING GREEN The Falcons come into Tuesday s contest with a overall record, 4-8 in Mid-American Conference play. Three of Bowling Green s four conference wins have come on the road. Bowling Green has two players scoring in double figures, led by 14.0 points per game from Spencer Parker. Zack Denny also scores in double figures at 12.0 points per game; Denny leads the Falcons in rebounding at 7.2 boards per contest. Michael Huger is in his first season as head coach of the Falcons after spending eight seasons as an assistant coach at Miami (Fla.). Huger starred as a player at Bowling Green from ALL-TIME AGAINST THE FALCONS Bowling Green leads the all-time series against NIU, 32-27, but the Huskies have a edge all-time in games played in DeKalb. Bowling Green claimed a home victory on Jan. 27, 2015, and won in DeKalb on Feb. 7, Travon Baker scored 20 points to leads all scorers in the second meeting last season but the Falcons shot 49 percent from the floor to earn the road victory. NIU s last win in the series was a overtime victory on March 10, 2014 in DeKalb in the first round of the Mid-American Conference Tournament. A LOOK BACK AT AKRON NIU ended the MAC s longest winning streak at seven games as the Huskies defeated Akron, 80-79, in the NIU Convocation Center. Aaric Armstead drained two free throws with 1.7 seconds left to lift the Huskies to the win. Armstead scored a team-high 21 points with eight rebounds while Marin Maric recorded his fourth consecutive double-double with 17 points and 11 rebounds. Laytwan Porter also scored in double figures for the Huskies with 10 points, Porter also added four rebounds, three assists and three steals. The Huskies converted 13 Akron turnovers into 17 points while committing a season-low seven turnovers that became just five Akron points. Marshawn Wilson made his first career start in the contest; scoring nine points with three rebounds and three assists. Wilson is the second Huskie freshmen to start a game this season, along with Jaylen Key. The Zips were led by 22 points from Josh Williams. Isaiah Johnson added 16 and Noah Robotham chipped in 11 points. Akron went 15-of-34 from the three-point line; its 15 triples are the most by a Huskie opponent during Mark Montgomery s five seasons at NIU. COMING ON IN CONFERENCE PLAY In each of his first two seasons, Aaric Armstead has seen his production increase during conference play, a trend that has continued in league play this season. Armstead has scored in double figures in nine of 12 conference games this season, including tying his career-high with 22 points at Kent State (Feb. 9). Armstead followed up his 22 points at Kent State by scoring 21 points against Akron (Feb. 13), including making two free throws with 1.7 seconds left to lift the Huskies to a one-point win. Over the last seven games, Armstead is averaging 14.7 points per game, shooting 44.6 percent (33-of-74) from the field, 43.8 percent (14-of-32) from three and 76.7 percent (23-of- 30) from the free-throw line. As a freshman in , Armstead averaged 3.1 points and 2.3 rebounds during the nonleague slate before averaging 9.6 points (fourth among MAC freshmen) and 4.6 rebounds (second among MAC freshmen) per game in conference play. Armstead saw a significant increase in his minutes in league play after Dontel Highsmith tore his ACL in the next-to-last non-conference game at Iowa State (Dec. 31, 2013). As a sophomore in , Armstead averaged 10.1 points per game during the pre-conference schedule; that increased to 11.8 points per contest (fourth among MAC sophomores) in league play. In 46 career conference games, Armstead is averaging 11.2 points per game. Armstead has scored in double figures in 29 league games. In contrast, in 37 career non-conference contests, Armstead is averaging 8.5 points per game, including 15 games in double figures. During his NIU career, Armstead has led the Huskies in scoring a team-best 23 times and has scored in double figures 44 times. Central Michigan s Chris Fowler (176) is the MAC s active career leader while Alex Caruso of Texas A&M (257) is the nation s active career leader. Other notables in the active top-25 include: Fred VanVleet (Wichita State; 209), Kris Dunn (Providence; 199), Marcus Paige (North Carolina; 189) and Angel Rodriguez (Miami, Fla.; 186). This season, Baker has a team-best 36 steals, including a career-high tying five against Toledo (Jan. 12). Baker is tied for fourth in the MAC with 1.4 steals per game. CLIMBING THE ASSIST LIST TOO Travon Baker has recorded 330 career assists to tie for fourth in NIU history with Donte Parker ( ). Baker passed Anthony Maestranzi (323; ) for fifth with his seven assists at Kent State (Feb. 9). Baker is just two assists behind current NIU radio analyst Rodney Davis (332; ) for third. Jay Bryant ( ) is NIU s career leader in assists with 367. Baker has dished out a team-high 100 assists this season and is tied for fifth in the MAC in assists per game (4.0 pg). Baker s 100 assists is the most for a Huskie in a season since Darion Jake Anderson dished out 104 during the season. Baker also ranks sixth in the MAC in assist/turnover ratio (1.9). Baker has led NIU in assists in each of the last three seasons, dishing out 58 as a freshmen, 78 as a sophomore and 94 as a junior. Baker and Ronald Minter ( ) are the only players in NIU history to rank in the top-five in both career steals and assists. Minter is second behind Baker in steals (163) and also ranks second in assists (353). 5 NIU is 34-6 all-time when scoring 70-or-more points under head coach Mark Montgomery, including a 14-3 mark this season. With NIU s Jan. 2 win over Judson, Mark Montgomery became the ninth head coach in NIU history with 50 wins. Montgomery joins John McDougal (136), Chick Evans (125), Brian Hammel (117), William Healey (96), Tom Jorgensen (95), Ralph McKinzie (94), Rob Judson (74) and William Wirtz (57). The NIU bench has outscored its opponents by an average of 11.7 points per game. The Huskies reserves are averaging 3.7 points per game and have outscored their counterparts in 22-of-25 games this season, equaling the Wright State reserves, 12-12, on Nov. 15, while being outscored at Miami (Jan. 30) and against Akron (Feb. 13). NIU s 11 non-conference wins is the most for the program since when the Huskies won 17 while independent. The last time NIU won more than 11 non-conference games while in a conference was during the season when they won 14 en route to a 21-4 overall record. THE INTERIOR PRESENCE Marin Maric has recorded double-doubles in each of the last four games, giving him 11 overall for the season, fourth-most in the MAC. Maric is averaging 15.3 points and 10.5 rebounds per game over the last four games. Maric s four-game double-double streak is NIU s longest since Marcus Smallwood recorded double-doubles in six-straight games from Jan. 8, 2003 to Jan. 29, Maric is currently fifth in the MAC in rebounding (8.4 rpg), seventh in blocked shots (1.1 bpg) and 14th in field goal percentage (47.9 percent). He is also 17th in the league with 12.8 points per contest and is second in the MAC with 2.9 offensive rebounds per game. Maric recorded his first career doubledouble with a career-best 14 points and 11 rebounds at Idaho (Nov. 28). Maric also added two assists, two blocks and a steal in 25 minutes against the Vandals. Maric recorded his fifth double-double with a career-high tying 22 points and a career-best tying 14 rebounds against Ohio (Jan. 6). Maric s five blocks against Chicago State (Dec. 2) is the most for a Huskie since Michael Fakuade had five at Eastern Michigan on Feb. 27, Maric has led NIU in rebounding 18 times this season. Donald Whiteside holds the NIU record for triples in a game with eight against Wright State on March 5, Baker finished the week averaging 25.0 points, 3.5 assists and 2.5 rebounds per game, while shooting 52.2 (12-of-23) percent from the field, including 55.6 percent (10-of-18) from three, and 94.1 percent (16-of-17) from the free-throw line. After earning Player of the Week honors, Baker continued his strong start to conference play at Toledo (Jan. 12) as he netted a team-high 23 points, along with a career-high tying five steals and three assists. Baker s three consecutive 20-plus point games is the longest streak of 20-plus point games by a Huskie since Xavier Silas scored 20-plus in eight consecutive games from Jan. 11, 2011 to Feb. 5, Baker then played just five minutes at Western Michigan (Jan. 16) before being ejected due to a flagrant two foul. Travon Baker was named MAC West Division Player of the Week for the second time in three weeks on Jan. 25, after averaging 20 points, seven rebounds, three assists and two steals in a pair of wins over Central Michigan (Jan. 19) and Toledo (Jan. 22). The weekly honor was the second of Baker s career and the third this season for the Huskies; Marin Maric was named MAC West Player of the Week on Dec. 21. Against Central Michigan (Jan. 19), Baker netted a game-high 19 points and also recorded a team-best four assists and two steals. In the rematch with Toledo (Jan. 22), Baker scored a game-high 21 points, including six three-pointers, while also pulling down a team-high nine rebounds with two assists and two steals. Baker s second steal was the 163rd of his career, tying the all-time NIU record. In league play, Travon Baker is tied for 17th in the MAC in scoring (12.8 ppg), sixth in free throw percentage (81.4 percent), sixth in assists (3.4 per game) and tied for seventh in steals (1.3 per game). The Huskies went on to win the Midwestern Collegiate Conference Tournament and play in the NCAA Tournament, falling to Texas Tech in the first round in Richmond, Va. (74-73; March 15, 1996). The Huskies recorded a second seven-game win streak that began with a double overtime win against Florida International (Dec. 19) and lasted until a road loss at Western Michigan (Jan. 16). The last time NIU had two win streaks of seven-or-more games in the same season was in when the Huskies had an 11-game win streak and an 8-game win streak. MARK MONTGOMERY EARNS HUGH DURHAM AWARD MID-SEASON HONORS NIU head coach Mark Montgomery was named the recipient of the Hugh Durham Award mid-season honors on Jan. 8. The fifth-year head coach of the Huskies has guided NIU to a 17-8 start after being picked to finish fifth in the MAC West Division. The Hugh Durham Award is presented annually to the nation s top mid-major coach. The award is named in honor of Hugh Durham who had retired at the end of the season. Durham is one of just twelve coaches to have led two different programs to the NCAA Final Four (Florida State in 1972 and Georgia in 1983). He is the only coach among that group to have led both schools to their lone Final Four appearance. The end of season Hugh Durham Award winner will be announced at the CollegeInsider.com Award Presentation on April 1 in Houston, site of the men s division I national championship. THE TEAM, THE TEAM, THE TEAM NIU has had very good balance this season, with nearly every player on the roster capable of leading the way in scoring or rebounding. The Huskies have had 11 different players score in double figures, led by 20 double-figure scoring games from Marin Maric. Travon Baker and Aaric Armstead have each reached double figures 16 times and Marshawn Wilson has scored in double figures 11 times. Nine different players have recorded seven-plus rebound games for NIU, including 18 from Marin Maric. Six different players have led the Huskies in scoring this season and six different players have led the Huskies in rebounding. THE THREE-HEADED FOUR-MAN The Huskies have gotten tremendous production from their three-man rotation at power forward of Jaylen Key, Levi Bradley and Chuks Iroegbu. The trio has combined to average 18.0 points and 9.5 rebounds per game while shooting a combined 53.3 percent (168-of-315) from the field. Bradley in particular has seen his production increase in league play; he is averaging 6.6 points and 3.4 rebounds per game in the league. Over the last nine games, Bradley is averaging 8.1 points per game. Iroegbu is one of the most efficient offensive players in the MAC, shooting 64.3 percent (18-of-28) from the field and 73 percent (27-of-37) from the free-throw line in conference play. THE KIDS ARE ALRIGHT The NIU freshmen class of Marshawn Wilson, Jaylen Key, Austin Pauga, Laytwan Porter and Levi Bradley have combined to score 37.6 percent of NIU s total points this season. NIU currently ranks 282nd by KenPom in experience, with 1.37 years of experience per minute played. By that measure, the Huskies are the third-youngest team in the MAC, behind Toledo (1.30) and Ohio (1.36). Marshawn Wilson has scored in double figures in 11 games this season and second among conference rookies in scoring at 11.1 points per game. Wilson is currently averaging 25.4 points per 40 minutes, tied for the second-best mark in the MAC. Wilson scored a career-best 25 points against Buffalo (Feb. 2) and is averaging 14.2 points per game over the last five contests, shooting 46.4 percent from the field (26-of-56) and 42.9 percent from three (12-of-28). Wilson ranks 10th in the MAC in free throw percentage (78.1 percent) and 14th in three-point percentage (39.2 percent). In league play, Wilson is 12th in the league in field goal percentage (46.8 percent) and tied for 11th in three-point percentage (40 percent). Wilson netted 24 points at Missouri (Dec. 4) and has reached the 20-point plateau on two other occasions, becoming the first Huskie freshman to score 20-plus points since Dontel Highsmith scored 27 at UC Riverside on Dec. 22, Wilson is averaging 13.0 points per game on the road. Jaylen Key is averaging 5.7 points, 13th-best among MAC freshmen, and 3.8 rebounds per game, eighth-best among MAC rookies, while shooting 48.7 percent from the field. Bradley is shooting 50 percent from the field, including 36.7 percent from three, and is also shooting 80 percent from the free-throw line. Bradley is averaging 8.1 points per game over the last nine contests, shooting 54.9 percent (28-of-51) from the field. Laytwan Porter is averaging 4.5 points, 2.5 rebounds and 2.3 assists per contest. Porter became the first Huskie since 2010 to record 10-plus assists in a game when he dished out 10 against Eureka (Nov. 21). Porter s 2.3 assists per game are the most among freshmen in the MAC. Porter is also averaging 1.1 steals per game, second-most among conference rookies, just behind Buffalo s C.J. Massinburg (1.2). Austin Pauga is averaging 3.5 points per game and is shooting 51.4 percent from the field (19-of-37), including 44.8 percent (13-of-29) from behind the threepoint line. Pauga missed seven games after suffering an injury against Indiana Northwest (Nov. 21), returning to the lineup against Judson (Jan. 2). HOME SWEET HOME NIU is 14-1 at home this season. The Huskies suffered their first home loss of the year on Feb. 2 against Buffalo, 90-78, a loss that snapped NIU s school-record 15-game home winning streak. The streak began with a win over eventual MAC regular season champion Central Michigan last season on Feb. 28, NIU s 15-game school-record winning streak snapped the previous best of 11 consecutive home wins, set on four different occasions, including most recently in the final five games of the season and the first six games of the campaign. NIU is 29-6 at home since Feb. 12, 2014 when the Huskies beat Central Michigan, The Huskies will make 18 appearances at home in the NIU Convocation Center this season, a school record, beginning with a five-game homestand to open the season. For the season, NIU is averaging 14.8 assists per game, third-best in the MAC, led by Travon Baker (4.0 pg), who is tied for fifth individually in the MAC, and Michael Orris (3.3 apg), who is 11th. NIU s is averaging 5.0 more assists this season than they did a season ago when they averaged 9.8 per game, which ranked 12th in the MAC, and 324th in the nation. Baker and Orris are also second and sixth in assist/turnover ratio in the MAC. Orris is second at 2.3 and Baker is fifth at 1.9. As a team, the Huskies rank fourth in the MAC at 1.1. Last season, NIU had a 0.69 assist/turnover ratio, 12th in the MAC and 326th in the nation. Against Eastern Michigan (Jan. 9), NIU held a seven-point lead, 65-58, with 4:50 left and outscored the Eagles 15-5 in the closing minutes to ensure the victory. The Huskies went 3-of-4 from the field and 7-of-7 from the line inside the last five minutes. At Idaho (Nov. 28), the Vandals pulled within a pair, 55-53, with 4:39 left but the Huskies used a 7-1 spurt to take a lead with 1:56 to play to seal the win. Idaho was 1-of-6 from the field in the final 4:39. NIU trailed Wright State (Nov. 15) with five minutes left before closing with a 12-2 run to down the Raiders, NIU held Wright State to just 27.3 percent shooting in the second half (6-of-22), including 0-of-7 in the final five minutes. Against South Dakota (Nov. 14), Tre Burnette connected on a triple for the Coyotes with just under five minutes to play to tie the contest, 62-62, before the Huskies closed on a 10-3 burst to claim the win. Chuks Iroegbu scored NIU s first seven of the burst, part of his new career-high 16 points, as NIU went on to a win. MR. BIG SHOT In addition to climbing the career steals and assist charts, Travon Baker has made a number of late game shots to lead the Huskies to victories during his career. In the conference opener against Ohio (Jan. 6), Baker went 2-of-2 from the field and 8-of-9 from the free-throw line in the final 2:13, scoring 13 of his career-high 25 points in the final minutes to lift the Huskies to an victory. At UIC (Dec. 29), with the Huskies leading by three inside the final minute, Baker made 7-of-8 free throws to help NIU hold off the Flames, His only miss among the eight came with less than a second to play and the result no longer in doubt. Also last season at Miami (Feb. 4, 2015), Baker scored 16 points, going 6-of-7 from the field, with five assists and made the game-winning bucket on a banked runner with 2.4 seconds left at NIU beat the RedHawks, Two seasons ago at Ball State (Feb. 1, 2014), Baker made a game-tying triple with nine seconds left to force overtime. The Huskies went on to a overtime victory. Baker also lifted NIU to a win at Kent State two seasons ago (Jan. 29, 2014) as he made two free throws with 5.2 seconds left to lift NIU to a road win against the Golden Flashes. BONUS BASKETBALL NIU went to overtime for the first time this season against Florida International (Dec. 19), outlasting the Panthers in double overtime behind Marin Maric s 17 points and 11 rebounds. The win was NIU s first double overtime game since a win over Eastern Michigan on Feb. 20, The Huskies are 2-0 in double overtime contests under Mark Montgomery. In his five seasons at NIU, Mark Montgomery s Huskies are 6-3 in overtime games. The Huskies have won three consecutive overtime contests including Saturday s victory over FIU, a win at Ball State last season (March 6, 2015) and a victory over UC Riverside last season (Jan. 2, 2015). NIU s last loss in an overtime contest was a setback at Dartmouth last season (Dec. 19, 2015) when Alex Mitola hit an off-balance triple at the buzzer to give the Big Green the win. WHAT S BACK FOR NIU NIU returns three starters and six letterwinners from a season ago, while also adding seven newcomers to the roster. The Huskies return leading scorer Aaric Armstead (11.1 ppg) and 56.1 percent of their total scoring output from a season ago. NIU s leading returning rebounder is senior Darrell Bowie (5.4 rpg), the Huskies return 52 percent of their total rebounds from last season. The Huskies also return 76.2 percent of their assists, 63.3 percent of their steals and 50 percent of their blocked shots from last season.

9 NIU also welcomes back three players that were not letterwinners a season ago in Dontel Highsmith (redshirted due to injury), Jordan Thomas (did not see action) and Jay DeHaan (did not see action). Among NIU s seven newcomers, six are freshmen (Levi Bradley, Jaylen Key, Austin Pauga, Laytwan Porter, Join Siu and Marshawn Wilson) and Andrew Zelis is a junior college transfer with three years are eligibility remaining. HUSKIES PICKED TO FINISH 5TH IN MAC WEST NIU was picked to finish fifth in the Mid-American Conference West Division in the preseason MAC News Media Panel poll, released on Oct. 28. Central Michigan was picked to win the MAC West, followed by Toledo, Western Michigan, Eastern Michigan, NIU and Ball State. In the MAC East, Akron is the preseason favorite, followed by Kent State, Ohio, Buffalo, Miami and Bowling Green. The preseason All-MAC West team consists of Chris Fowler (Central Michigan), John Simons (Central Michigan), Raven Lee (Eastern Michigan), Nathan Boothe (Toledo) and Connar Tava (Western Michigan). HUSKIES SIGN THREE FOR The NIU men s basketball program signed three players to National Letters of Intent to join the Huskie program for the season: Eugene German, Noah McCarty and Nick Wagner each signed to join the Huskies next season. A 6-foot guard from Gary, Ind., Eugene German led the State of Indiana in scoring last season as a junior at 21st Century Charter. German averaged 32 points per game while also adding six rebounds, three assists and three steals per contest, helping the Cougars to a section runner-up finish. German was named to the 2015 Indiana Basketball Coaches Association/Subway Underclass Small School All-State Team. A 6-foot-8 forward, Noah McCarty averaged 18.8 points and 10.1 rebounds per game last season at Sterling Newman Catholic Central in Sterling, Ill. Last season, McCarty McCarty was named to the All-Western Illinois First Team last season by the Quad City Times and also earned Illinois Basketball Coaches Association 2A All-State Third Team and AP 2A All-State honorable mention recognition. A 6-foot-3 guard, Nick Wagner averaged 20.9 points, 3.8 rebounds and 3.8 assists last season at Gale-Ettrick-Trempea High School in Galesville, Wis. Wagner was named to the Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association Division 3 All-State team and earned AP All-State honorable mention recognition. BOROVICH PROMOTED TO ASSOCIATE HEAD COACH On Aug. 4, Jon Borovich was promoted to associate head coach by NIU head coach Mark Montgomery. Borovich has been a member of the Huskie coaching staff since Montgomery s first season in He came to NIU following four seasons as an assistant at the University of Dayton. 19 On March 24, 2011, Mark Montgomery was introduced as the 27th head coach in the history of the Northern Illinois University men s basketball program. Montgomery comes to NIU following 10 seasons at his alma mater, Michigan State University, six as an assistant coach and the last four as associate head coach. Montgomery, a Michigan native who also has previous experience in the Mid-American Conference in four seasons as an assistant coach at Central Michigan, made 10 straight trips to the NCAA Tournament and three Final Four appearances with the Spartans as a member of Tom Izzo s staff. He helped coach 26 All-Big Ten players at Michigan State and six players that went on to be selected in the National Basketball Association Draft, while on the bench for 235 MSU wins - an average of 23.5 victories per season. During his first season as head coach at Northern Illinois, Montgomery guided one of the youngest teams in the nation to the program s first MAC Tournament victory since 2003, defeating MAC West Champion Eastern Michigan in the opening round of the conference tournament to advance to Cleveland. NIU saw 55.9 percent of its minutes played by freshmen during the season, the sixth-highest percentage in the country. In his first season at the helm in DeKalb, the Huskies laid the foundation for Montgomery s style of play, leading the MAC in offensive rebounds while ranking second in rebounding defense and third in rebounding margin. Under Montgomery s tutelage, Abdel Nader became the first NIU player since 2009 to be named to the MAC All-Freshman Team. Montgomery s second season at NIU saw the Huskies continue to build the foundation of the program with the fourth-least experienced team in the country. The Huskies achieved a number of milestone victories in , including the program s first win at Miami (Ohio) since 1981, its first win at Central Michigan since 2006 and its first victory over Kent State since NIU suffered a number of near-misses, losing seven games by five points or less, while finishing the season ranked second in the MAC in offensive rebounds and second in the conference in defensive rebounding percentage. During the season, his third at NIU, Montgomery engineered the largest single-season win improvement in school history, and the 10th-largest nationally for the season, as the Huskies recorded a 10-win improvement, going 15-17, NIU s most victories since the season. Montgomery finished second in the voting for MAC Coach of the Year. Despite having the second-least experienced team in the MAC, Montgomery led NIU to its most non-conference wins, six, since and its most home wins, 10, ; NIU closed the season with a five-game home winning streak. The Huskies also recorded their first top-50 RPI win, over Toledo on Feb. 26, since defeating Wisconsin on December 14, NIU earned the No. 7 seed in the Mid- American Conference Tournament, earning a first round home game for the first time since 2003, while advancing to Cleveland for the second time in three seasons. Under Montgomery s guidance, Jordan Threloff earned All-MAC honorable mention recognition and Aaric Armstead was named to the MAC All-Freshman Team. The Huskies continued to make strides during the season, Montgomery s fourth at NIU. Montgomery began his coaching career as an assistant coach at Central Michigan where he became a member of Jay Smith s first coaching staff in Following a 6-23 season in , the Chippewas made a worst-to-first turnaround the following season as they finished the campaign with a 20-8 record, winning the MAC with a conference mark of An outstanding player during his collegiate career, Montgomery was a four-year letterwinner at Michigan State from A 1992 All-Big Ten Third Team selection, Montgomery ended his career as the then-career leader in games played at MSU (126). He was part of the 1990 Big Ten Championship team, three NCAA Tournament teams and an NIT Final Four. Montgomery ranks fourth on the career assists chart (561) after leading the team in assists as a junior (169) and senior (190). He also ranks third on the MSU career steals list (168). Following his collegiate career, Montgomery played four years of professional basketball in Europe. He averaged more than 25 points a game during his time playing in Germany, Lithuania and Sweden. Montgomery received his bachelor s degree in food industry management from Michigan State. He and his wife, Alexandra, have a son, Nicholas.
