2 Message from our Community Manager Netball is the highest female participation sport in Western Australia, with more than 200,000 participants involved in our game across the State. As the governing body for netball in Western Australia, Netball WA oversees 11 Regions, 72 Associations, and a Suncorp Super Netball team, the West Coast Fever. The organisation has a clear vision to be One Netball Community driving Western Australia s leading sport. Netball WA has a holistic approach to the growth and development of our game, from the grassroots level, through to the elite. We deliver a diverse portfolio of programs and events that engage a broad cross section of the West Australian community; be it as a player, coach, official, volunteer or spectator. From youngsters participating in the national introductory program - Suncorp NetSetGO, for the first time, through to elite level athletes, netball prides itself on providing a safe, fun and healthy environment for all to be involved, regardless of age or ability. Our school programs are specifically designed to provide a quality sporting experience for all school students but particularly those who may only participate in our sport in a school environment. Our programs also aim to fuel the growth of our game by strengthening pathways and relationships with West Australian primary and secondary schools. This prospectus provides detailed information on a variety of avenues through which your school can deliver netball; including programs, carnivals, competitions, clinics and educational resources. Our game is enjoying unprecedented growth and development and we look forward to your school community joining the netball family. Liz Booth General Manager, Community Netball

3 From West Coast Fever As a West Coast Fever player, I feel extremely privileged to represent Western Australia alongside my teammates in Suncorp Super Netball. The game of netball has provided me with countless opportunities. It has enabled me to travel around Australia and New Zealand as part of the Fever, represent my country on the international stage with the Australian Fast5 Flyers and, most importantly, establish lifelong friendships with my teammates who I ve been lucky enough to share these amazing experiences with. Sport can play such an important role in any child s school years. A game like netball not only helps you to keep fit and healthy, it also encourages the development of social skills, all in a safe and fun environment. Engaging girls and boys in netball at school is a fantastic way to foster their love of sport, as well as their teamwork and confidence. The Netball WA Schools Prospectus provides details on programs currently available that can assist in introducing netball to your school in a manner that best suits your students and resources. I d encourage you to explore the different options on offer to get your students involved in our great game. Courtney Bruce West Coast Fever Defender Courtney has been a member of the West Coast Fever since 2012 and is a current member of the Australian Diamonds and Fast5 Flyers Netball teams.
