2 HEAD COACH MATT WELLS MATT WELLS HEAD COACH UTAH STATE, Mountain West Coach of the Year Sixth Season as Head Coach (34-32 Overall, Mountain West) Eighth Season Overall at THE AGGIES Coaching Staff OPPONENTS RECORDS UNIVERSITY Entering his sixth season as s head coach, Matt Wells has guided Aggie football through one of its best stretches in school history, and with 18 starters and 50 letterwinners returning from last season s bowl team, expectations for the 2018 campaign are sky high. Wells, who is the fourth-longest tenured coach in 121 seasons of Aggie football, holds a record in his first five seasons at USU, including a Mountain West record. Those 34 wins are the fourth-most in school history, while his 51.5 winning percentage ranks seventh all-time. has also recorded three wins against top-25 opponents during Wells five years as head coach, one more than the program won in its previous 116 seasons. Furthermore, Wells has been a player (1993) or coach (2012, 2013, 2014) in all four of s bowl wins, and he is the first head coach in program history to lead the Aggies to four bowl games and the only head coach with multiple bowl wins. In fact, the 2017 NOVA Home Loans Arizona Bowl was his seventh bowl game as an Aggie, as he played in one and has coached in six, which included a school-record five-straight bowl appearances from In 2017, Wells led to six wins and its sixth bowl game in the past seven seasons as the Aggies had six players earn various all-mountain West honors. Additionally, senior cornerback Jalen Davis became just the ninth first-team All-America in school history and was named an All-American by four different publications, including the Walter Camp Football Foundation, who voted him to their first team. Furthermore, sophomore placekicker Dominik Eberle was named a third-team All-American by Phil Steele s Magazine and was a finalist for the Lou Groza Award, which honors the top placekicker in college football. USU also had two players sign NFL free agent contracts following the season in Davis and Dallin Leavitt, while Braelon Roberts was invited to a rookie mini-camp. During the 2016 season, had six players earn various all-mountain West honors as it lost five conference games by a combined 29 points (5.8 ppg). USU also had two players invited to postseason All- Star games, while one player was selected in the 2017 NFL Draft in Devante Mays. Furthermore, USU had eight other Aggies who signed free agent contracts. In 2015, Wells led to six wins and its fifth-straight bowl game as the Aggies had 12 players earn various all-mountain West honors, which were the third-most in the conference. Furthermore, senior linebacker Kyler Fackrell was named a fourth-team All- American by Phil Steele s Magazine. also had five players invited to postseason All-Star games/camps, while three Aggies participated in the NFL Combine in Fackrell, Hunter Sharp and Nick Vigil. Furthermore, USU had two players selected in the 2016 NFL Draft in Vigil and Fackrell, both in the third round, while six other Aggies signed free agent contracts and two more were invited to rookie mini-camps. During the 2014 season, Wells led Utah State to 10 wins to rank as the second-most in school history behind the 2012 team that finished with an 11-2 record. USU also played in its fourth-straight bowl game in 2014 and won its third-straight bowl. In his second year as s head coach, Wells mentored 15 players who earned 16 all-mountain West honors, which were the most in the league and tied for the third-most in school history. Wells also mentored two All-Americans in 2014 in Zach Vigil and Davis. Vigil was named an All-American by four different publications, including being named a USA Today Sports second-team All-American, while Davis was named a true freshman All-American by 247Sports. Vigil was named the Mountain West Defensive Player of the Year. In his first season as head coach, Wells led to the inaugural Mountain West Championship game after winning the Mountain Division of the conference with a 7-1 record in Wells also led to just its third-ever bowl victory as it posted a win against No. 24 Northern Illinois in the 2013 San Diego County Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl. For his efforts, Wells was named the 2013 Mountain West Coach of the Year as he set the school record for wins by a first-year head coach. USU finished the season with a 9-5 record, tying the 1960 and 1961 teams for the second-most wins in school history at the time. Overall, Wells is the fifth USU coach in school history to garner conference coach of the year honors, along with Bruce Snyder (1978), Chuck Shelton (1991), John L. Smith (1997) and Gary Andersen (2012). Wells is also the fourth individual to earn MW Coach of the Year honors in his first season. During his first year as s head coach, Wells mentored 14 Aggies who earned various all-mountain West honors, including three All-Americans as Tyler Larsen was named a second-team All-American by USA Today Sports, Nevin Lawson was named a third-team All-American by College Sports Madness, and Fackrell was named an honorable mention Sophomore All-American by College Football News. Wells also coached a school-record four players who were invited and participated in the 2014 NFL Combine in Larsen, Lawson, Maurice Alexander and D.J. Tialavea, while a total of 16 players from the 2013 and 2014 rosters were invited to NFL/CFL camps, including Alexander (St. Louis Rams) and Lawson (Detroit Lions), who were both selected in the fourth round of the 2014 NFL Draft. Wells, who is one of 22 coaches to lead his alma mater, is just the second graduate to be appointed its head football coach, joining Chris Pella, who graduated from USU in 1965 and coached the Aggies

3 HEAD COACH MATT WELLS from Prior to being named the head coach at his alma mater, Wells spent the previous two seasons as an assistant coach at, including serving as the team s offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach in 2012, and quarterbacks coach and recruiting coordinator in As offensive coordinator in 2012, concluded its most successful season in school history as it went 11-2 and set school records for wins (11) and home wins (6), while being nationally ranked in The Associated Press poll for three-straight weeks for the first time in school history. USU also won its first outright conference championship since 1936 and just its third in school history joining the 1921 and 1936 teams that both won Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference titles. All-time, has won or shared 11 league championships. As offensive coordinator in 2012, Wells directed an Aggie offense that set single-season school records for total points (454), total offense (6,108 yards), completions (285) and total yards per game (469.8), while ranking second in points per game (34.9) and total passing yards (3,445). Nationally, s 2012 offense ranked second in the Western Athletic Conference and 23rd in the country in total offense (469.8 ypg), second in the WAC and 18th in the nation in passing efficiency (153.21), second in the WAC and 25th in the nation in rushing offense (204.8 ypg), third in the WAC and 31st in the nation in sacks allowed (1.38 pg), third in the WAC and 33rd in the nation in scoring offense (34.9 ppg), and third in the WAC and 39th in the nation in passing offense (265.0 ypg). Under Wells, finished the 2012 season scoring 38 or more points in its final seven games, which is a school record. In 2012, Wells coached former Aggie Chuckie Keeton, who earned first-team all-wac honors after setting single-season school records for touchdown passes (27), passing yards (3,373), completion percentage (.676), completions (275) and total offense (3,992 yards). Keeton also earned WAC Offensive Player of the Week honors four times in 2012, which is a singleseason school record. Under Wells tutelage, Keeton ranks first all-time in school history in career touchdown passes (62), first in career total offense (8,808 yards), second in career completions (672), second in career passing yardage (8,695), second in career passing attempts (1,068), tied for second in career completion percentage (.629) and 14th in career rushing yards (1,415). As the quarterbacks coach in 2011, Wells helped Utah State s offense establish then-school records for total offense (5,945 yards), rushing yards (3,675), total points (437) and total touchdowns (60). Wells, a former Aggie quarterback and three-year letterwinner from , was a member of two conference championship teams as a student-athlete as he was a redshirt freshman in 1993 when tied for first in the Big West Conference and defeated Ball State, 42-33, in the Las Vegas Bowl II for its first-ever bowl win. As a senior in 1996, Wells helped USU to another share of the Big West Conference title. Wells, who has been a part of 10 bowl teams and two conference championships during his coaching career, came to after two coaching stints at New Mexico, serving as the Lobos wide receivers and kickoff return unit coach in 2010 and wide receivers coach and recruiting coordinator from 2007 to In 2009, Wells served as the quarterbacks coach and passing game coordinator at Louisville. Prior to his first stint at New Mexico, Wells spent five years ( ) as the tight ends coach and recruiting coordinator at Tulsa and five years at the U.S. Naval Academy ( ) as its quarterbacks coach, fullbacks coach and wide receivers coach, while also serving as the junior varsity head coach and offensive coordinator for three years. Wells, a native of Sallisaw, Okla., earned his bachelor s degree in business marketing from in 1996, graduating cum laude. He and his wife Jen have two daughters, Jadyn (15) and Ella (12), and one son, Wyatt (9). His brother, Luke, is USU s tight ends and inside receivers coach. Overall, Maile is in his eighth year on the Aggies staff, as he was a defensive graduate assistant from , and the defensive line coach from As s co-defensive coordinator/defensive line coach in 2017, USU allowed just passing yards per game, which ranked fourth in the Mountain West and 19th nationally. USU also ranked second in the conference and 24th in the nation in 2017 in passing efficiency defense (116.6). also ranked sixth in the nation with 29 forced turnovers last season, which included ranking tied for second nationally with its 16 forced fumbles, and ranked fourth in the nation with five defensive touchdowns. played in its sixth bowl game in its last seven seasons during the 2017 campaign, including its fourth with Maile on staff, as the Aggies participated in the NOVA Home Loans Arizona Bowl. During the 2016 season, allowed just passing yards per game, which ranked third in the Mountain West and 10th nationally. USU also ranked fourth in the conference and 47th in the nation in total defense (379.8 ypg). In 2016, Maile coached a pair of Aggies to all-conference honors in Travis Seefeldt (second team) and Ricky Ali ifua (honorable mention), who signed a free agent contract with the Kansas City Chiefs. Prior to his return to, Maile spent two seasons as the defensive line coach at Vanderbilt. In 2015, the Commodores defense ranked among the top-35 nationally in nine categories, including 28th in total defense (350.5 ypg), 22nd in scoring defense (21.0 ppg) and 33rd in rushing defense (143.2 ypg). As s defensive line coach from , Maile coached five Aggies to all-conference honors in Levi Koskan (second team), Al Lapuaho (first team), B.J. Larsen (second team), Jordan Nielsen (second team) and AJ Pataiali i (second team). During his three years as defensive line coach, USU posted a record and played in three-straight bowl games, winning the 2012 Famous Idaho Potato Bowl and the 2013 San Diego County Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl, and a 2012 Western Athletic Conference title. During the 2013 season, Maile helped the Aggie defense rank first in the Mountain West and seventh in the nation in scoring, allowing 17.1 points per game, the second-fewest allowed by the Aggies since USU also ranked first in the MW and eighth in the nation in rushing defense (106.7 ypg), its fewest allowed since 1968, and first in the MW and 12th in the nation in total defense (330.9 ypg). s 2013 defense also ranked sixth in the nation in the red zone, allowing opponents to score 68.9 percent of the time, including just 19 touchdowns, to rank second nationally. Furthermore, USU s defense ranked seventh in the nation in forcing three-and-outs with 5.6 per game, while its 7.6 tackles per loss per game ranked 10th nationally. USU s defense also ranked 11th nationally in third-down conversions at 32.6 percent. s defense finished the 2013 season holding five of its final seven opponents to 14 or fewer points. USU capped its season with a win against No. 24 Northern Illinois in the San Diego County Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl as the Aggies held NIU s highpowered offense in check and limited Heisman Trophy candidate Jordan Lynch to just 39 rushing yards. was also the only team in the nation not to allow a touchdown run of 10 or more yards in 2013, and allowed just two 100-yard rushers, while limiting its opponents to just 13 points following 16 turnovers. During the 2012 season, Maile helped s defense rank among the top-15 in the nation in five categories, including being ranked first in the WAC and seventh in the nation in scoring defense (15.38 ppg), second in the WAC and sixth nationally in sacks (3.23 pg), second in the WAC and 13th in the country in rushing defense ( ypg), first in the WAC and 15th in the nation in total defense ( ypg), and first in the WAC and 32nd in the nation in passing defense ( ypg). In 2011, Maile helped lead the WAC in total defense (366.2 ypg), as well as ranking second in the league in both rushing defense (127.7 ypg) and tackles for loss (5.9 pg). The Aggies also were second in the WAC in opponent third-down conversions at 35.4 percent. Maile was a standout defensive lineman for the Aggies from , making 21 starts in 42 career games. He posted 71 total tackles with 19.0 tackles for loss and one fumble recovery. In his senior season of 2007 as team captain, Maile accounted for 8.0 tackles for loss, tying for second on the team. A native of West Valley City, Utah, Maile was a firstteam all-state defensive lineman at Alta High School in Sandy, Utah. (DB) KEITH PATTERSON DEFENSIVE COORDINATOR / SAFETIES East Central Oklahoma, 1986 First Season Keith Patterson, who has 15 years of collegiate coaching experience, including 11 seasons as a defensive coordinator, is in his first season as s defensive coordinator/safeties coach. During his collegiate career, Patterson has coached in 11 bowl games. Overall, it is Patterson s second stint with USU head coach Matt Wells, as the two were on staff together at Tulsa from Prior to his appointment at, Patterson spent the past four seasons at Arizona State serving as the Sun Devils defensive coordinator for three of those years, and working with the linebackers all four seasons. With his focus on the inside linebackers at Arizona State in 2017, Patterson oversaw the evolution of D.J. Calhoun and Christian Sam, as both earned all-pac-12 honors. Sam finished the season ranked seventh nationally and first in the conference, averaging 10.6 tackles per game, while Calhoun ranked seventh in the conference with an average of 7.6 tackles per game. Furthermore, ASU ranked 22nd in the nation with an average of 2.77 sacks per game. In 2016, Patterson s guidance was instrumental in the standout performances turned in by linebackers Koron Crump and Calhoun. Crump led the Sun Devils with nine sacks, while recording three forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries and an interception. Calhoun was the team leader with 77 tackles, was tied for the team lead in tackles for loss with 11.5 and was second to Crump in sacks with 4.5. Patterson also had a big hand in the Sun Devils special teams success in 2016, as Arizona State finished fifth in the nation and second in the Pac-12 in net punting (42.0). The 2015 season saw Patterson put together one of the elite linebacking groups in the Pac-12 with his starting trio of Salamo Fiso, Sam and Laiu Moeakiola finishing first, second and sixth on the team in total tackles. Fiso would go on to earn all-pac-12 accolades. Patterson s defense helped the Sun Devils post 111 tackles for loss in 2015, with an average of 8.5 tackles per loss per game to rank third nationally and first in the Pac- 12. ASU averaged 3.54 sacks per game in 2015 to lead the nation. Under the direction of Patterson, the 2014 Sun Devil defense finished sixth in the nation in turnover margin at plus-14 and led the Pac-12 with 14 interceptions. Patterson mentored linebackers Calhoun, Fiso and Moeakiola to third-team all-pac-12 honors, and Calhoun was named a freshman All-American. Prior to his arrival in Tempe, Patterson spent two seasons at West Virginia, where he served as the defensive coordinator and linebackers coach in 2013, and as the co-defensive coordinator and linebackers coach in At West Virginia, Patterson mentored linebacker Isaiah Bruce, who was named to three freshman All-America teams and two all-big 12 teams in 2012 after ranking second on the team in tackles with 94, fourth in tackles for loss with 6.5 and first on the team in fumbles recovered with two. He also tied for the team lead in interceptions with two. In 2011, Patterson served as defensive coordinator and linebackers coach at Pittsburgh, helping the Panthers defense rank third nationally in quarterback sacks (3.31 pg), tied for 12th in tackles for loss (98), 14th in defensive third-down efficiency (32.98), 21st in rushing defense (116.9 ypg), 35th in total defense ( ypg) and 38th in scoring defense (22.4 ppg). That defense placed five players on the all-big East team and featured one All- American. In 2011, Patterson served as the interim head coach for Pittsburgh at the BBVA Compass Bowl against SMU. Patterson also coached at Tulsa from 2003 until 2010, where he tutored some of the most productive and accomplished defenders in the school s football history. Patterson began by coaching linebackers in 2003 and then added the title of defensive coordinator from 2006 through In 2010, he helped mold a defense that led the country in interceptions (24) and ranked third in turnovers gained (36). Facing the nation s top passing offense in Hawai i in the 2010 Hawaii Bowl, Tulsa s defense forced five interceptions and six total turnovers en route to a victory over the No. 24 Rainbow Warriors. The win was the Golden Hurricane s 36th over a fouryear span and marked the program s third consecutive bowl triumph. His star pupils included first-team all-conference USA performers Nick Bunting, Chris Chamberlain and Nelson Coleman. Bunting finished his career as one of the most decorated linebackers ever at Tulsa as he was named the Conference USA Defensive Player of the Year in 2006 and the Western Athletic Conference Newcomer of the Year in Chamberlain was drafted by the St. Louis Rams in Prior to his college coaching experience, Patterson spent 16 years coaching high school football in Oklahoma and Texas. He spent two years (2000 and 2002) as the linebackers, defensive backs and special teams coach at Allen (Texas) High School. He also coached at Allen HS from Before that, he was the head football coach at Ardmore (Okla.) HS for three seasons ( ). At Ardmore, Patterson led his team to the District 5A-1 Championship in 1999, while earning district coach of the year honors. In 1994, Patterson was the head coach at Edmond Santa Fe (Okla.) HS. Prior to his appointment at, Yost spent the 2016 season as the quarterback coach and passing game coordinator at Oregon. In his one season at UO, the Ducks ranked 16th nationally in total offense at yards per game, 27th in the nation in both scoring offense (35.4 ppg) and rushing offense (226.4 ypg), 32nd nationally in passing offense (265.3 ypg), and 10th nationally with just six thrown interceptions. Prior to his stint at Oregon, Yost spent three seasons as the inside wide receiver coach at Washington State under Mike Leach. In his three seasons at WSU, the Cougars set the top-three marks for most passes caught in Pac-12 single-season history, and twice led the nation in passing offense in 2014 (477.7 ypg) and 2015 (389.2 ypg). In 2014, the Cougars inside receivers accounted for 185 of the team s 510 receptions and 15 of the 45 touchdown catches. In his first year at WSU, the Cougars finished fourth nationally in passing offense, averaging yards per game. Freshman receiver River Cracraft claimed all-pac-12 honorable mention honors in Much of Yost s offensive influence resulted from a 17-year association with Gary Pinkel, who molded the 48-year-old Ohio native from a graduate assistant at Toledo in 1996 to the completion of a 12-year tenure at Missouri as assistant head coach and offensive coordinator in Yost began his stay in Columbia, Mo., in 2001 as the quarterback coach and recruiting coordinator, and added the duties of offensive coordinator in He was also elevated to assistant head coach for his final two seasons at Missouri. During his tenure that began in the Big 12 Conference and concluded in the SEC, Yost earned the reputation as one of the nation s brightest young tutors of quarterbacks. His run included a trio of signal callers (Brad Smith, Chase Daniel and Blaine Gabbert) who accumulated 12 different all-conference accolades beginning with Smith, who became the first Division I player to pass for 2,000 yards and run for 1,000 in the same season, a feat he accomplished in both 2003 and Smith completed his Missouri tenure in 2005 as the first-ever collegiate player to pass for 8,000 yards and run for another 4,000 before embarking on a nine-year NFL career. Daniel emerged on the national stage in 2007 when he was a Heisman Trophy finalist. He enjoyed an amazing three-year run as a starter before finishing in 2008 as he left holding virtually every major passing and total offense record in Missouri history. Gabbert followed Daniel and became an eventual first-round NFL Draft pick. In 2011, Yost guided the Missouri offensive to a Big 12 rushing title and finished the season ranked ninth nationally after averaging yards per game. Missouri was one of only two schools in the country to average at least 230 yards rushing and passing on the year. Yost assumed the added role of offensive coordinator prior to the 2009 season and oversaw a Missouri offense that ranked No. 14 in the nation in passing at yards per game. The Tigers followed that season with a 10-win campaign in 2010, finishing 35th nationally in yards per game (409.62). Yost was instrumental in the development of Missouri s renowned spread attack. The Tigers broke numerous offensive school records in 2008, putting together only the third 10-win season in school history. The Tigers also established school records for points (591), points per game (42.2) and passing yards (4,625) that season. During the 2007 and 2008 seasons, Missouri won 22 games to rank third nationally, behind only Oklahoma and USC. Furthermore, Missouri won three Big 12 North Division Championships in a four-year span (2007, 2008, 2010) with Yost on staff. From 1997 to 2000, Yost held the same responsibilities for Pinkel at Toledo. He spent four seasons coaching two of the most productive quarterbacks in Rockets history in Tavares Bolden and Chris Wallace. Yost came to Toledo from Tiffin University, where he coordinated the offense, along with coaching quarterbacks and receivers in During the 1994 season, he coached wide receivers. After graduating from Kent State with a bachelor s degree in early childhood education in 1992, Yost spent time coaching his former high school football team, Carrollton High School, in Carrollton, Ohio. In 2017, Bouknight mentored junior Ron quavion Tarver, who earned third-team all-mountain West honors from Phil Steele s Magazine after leading the team with 48 receptions for 569 yards and seven touchdowns. As co-offensive coordinator in 2016, mentored Tarver, who caught 46 passes for 602 yards and three touchdowns, as those 46 receptions are tied for the most by an underclassman in school history, while his 602 receiving yards are the most by a USU underclassman since In 2015, Bouknight coached one of the most productive wide receivers in school history in Hunter Sharp, who earned second-team all-mountain West honors, and is currently in the NFL with the New York Giants. Sharp finished his senior season ranking first in the MW and 28th in the nation in receiving touchdowns with nine, second in the MW and 19th in the nation with 71 receptions, and third in the MW and 41st in the nation with an average of 76.3 receiving yards per game. Sharp finished his career ranking ninth all-time in school history with 137 receptions, ninth all-time in touchdown receptions with 16 and 14th all-time with 1,770 receiving yards. In 2014, Bouknight coached a pair of all-mountain West receivers in JoJo Natson and Sharp as both players earned honorable mention honors. Sharp finished the season with 66 receptions for 939 yards, which are the most receiving yards by an Aggie since Furthermore, Sharp had four-straight 100-yard receiving games, the most by an Aggie since During the 2013 season, Bouknight was part of an Aggie offense that set school records for pass completions (297), total offensive plays (1,073), touchdown passes (30) and first downs (310), while the 445 points scored and 481 pass attempts both rank second all-time. Furthermore, USU s 56 total touchdowns rank third all-time and its 31.7 points per game average ranks fifth. In 2012, Bouknight mentored two all-wac performers in Matt Austin and Chuck Jacobs as Austin earned second-team honors and Jacobs earned honorable mention accolades. Jacobs spent three years in the NFL and is currently in the CFL with the Toronto Argonauts. During the 2012 season, Bouknight helped coach an Aggie offense that set single-season school records for total points (454), total offense (6,108 yards), completions (285) and total yards per game (469.8), while ranking second all-time in points (34.9 pg) and passing yards (3,445). In 2011, USU s offense was statistically one of the best in the country as it led the WAC and ranked sixth in the nation in rushing offense ( ypg). USU also ranked first in the WAC and 18th in the nation in passing efficiency (151.8), first in the WAC and 23rd in the nation in scoring offense (33.62 ppg), and second in the WAC and 20th in the nation in total offense ( ypg). Bouknight came to after one season at his alma mater of Wyoming, where he was an offensive graduate assistant, working with UW s wide receivers. Bouknight concluded his college career ranked No. 20 in NCAA history in both career receiving yards (3,626) and career receptions (250). After graduating from Wyoming in the spring of 2006, Bouknight signed an NFL free agent contract with the Carolina Panthers and later played in NFL Europe in 2007, before signing as a free agent with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. During his senior season, he was one of 15 semifinalists for the 2005 Biletnikoff Award, which honors the nation s top college receiver. He also earned honorable mention All-America honors from College Football News, along with earning first-team all-mountain West honors. For the 2005 season, he ranked No. 9 in the NCAA in average receiving yards per game ( ypg), No. 15 in total receiving yards (1,116), No. 10 in all-purpose yards (160.45), No. 12 in average receptions per game (7.00), and No. 11 in kickoff returns (27.75). He concluded his career ranked No. 2 in Mountain West history in both receptions (250) and receiving yards (3,626). In 2017, Brown coached a pair of all-mountain West performers in cornerback Jalen Davis (first team) and safety Dallin Leavitt (honorable mention). Davis also became just the ninth first-team All-American in school history, as garnered by the Walter Camp Football Foundation, and was named a second-team All-American by the Football Writers Association of America, The Associated Press and Phil Steele s Magazine, along with being a semifinalist for the Jim Thorpe Award. Davis finished his senior season ranked tied for fifth nationally with his 20 passes defended and tied for 11th in the nation with his five interceptions, while Leavitt ranked tied for 29th in the nation with his four interceptions. For his career, Davis set the school record with 37 pass breakups and 48 passes defended, while his 11 career interceptions are tied for fourth all-time in school history. also played in its sixth bowl game in the past seven seasons during the 2017 campaign. Following the 2017 season, Davis and Leavitt signed NFL free agent contracts with the Miami Dolphins and Oakland Raiders, respectively. As the secondary coach in 2017, Brown was part of a defense that allowed just passing yards per game, which ranked fourth in the Mountain West and 19th nationally. USU also ranked second in the conference and 24th in the nation in passing efficiency defense (116.6), and sixth in the nation with 29 forced turnovers, which included ranking tied for second nationally with its 16 forced fumbles. USU also ranked fourth in the nation with five defensive touchdowns in During his first season at, Brown was a part of an Aggie defense that allowed just passing yards per game to rank third in the Mountain West and 10th nationally. USU s defense also ranked third in the conference in passing efficiency (130.9), and fourth in the MW and 47th in the nation in total yards allowed (379.8 ypg), along with ranking sixth in the conference in scoring defense (29.3 ppg). One player on the Aggie defense that Brown mentored during the 2016 season was cornerback Daniel Gray, who signed an NFL free agent contract with the Arizona Cardinals. Prior to, Brown spent two seasons ( ) as the secondary coach and recruiting coordinator at Boise State. During his two years at Boise State, Brown helped the Broncos to a 21-6 record, including a 12-4 mark in the Mountain West and a pair of bowl wins, as it defeated No. 10 Arizona, 38-30, in the 2014 VIZIO Fiesta Bowl and Northern Illinois, 55-7, in the 2015 San Diego County Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl. The Broncos also won the 2014 Mountain West title, defeating Fresno State, 28-14, in the championship game. During the 2015 season, Boise State s secondary intercepted 22 passes to rank first in the Mountain West and fourth nationally and was led by safety Darian Thompson, who had five picks to rank third in the conference and 20th in the nation. Fellow defensive back Donte Deayon added four interceptions during the season to rank fourth in the MW and 23rd nationally. Thompson was selected by the New York Giants in the third round of the 2016 NFL Draft, while Deayon signed a free agent contract with the New York Giants in Thompson concluded his Boise State career earning All-American honors as both a junior and senior, along with being named a two-time first-team all-mountain West selection, while Deayon also earned all-mountain West honors twice. In 2015, Boise State s secondary helped the Broncos rank fifth nationally in rushing defense (108.2 ypg), 10th in the nation in opponent s third-down conversion rate (30.9 percent), 12th nationally in total defense (318.3 ypg), 14th nationally in pass defense efficiency (109.9) and 18th in the nation in scoring defense (20.2 ppg). Boise State also led the Mountain West and ranked fifth nationally in 2014 with 22 interceptions as Thompson led the conference and ranked tied for third in the country with seven interceptions, including returning one for a touchdown. Deayon intercepted six passes during the year and returned two for touchdowns. He also ranked tied for first on the team and tied for 26th nationally with his two fumble recoveries. also played in its sixth bowl game in the past seven seasons during the 2017 campaign. In 2016, Collins coached a pair of kickers who performed at a high level in senior PK Brock Warren and sophomore P Aaron Dalton. Warren was 9-of-12 on field goal attempts and that.750 percentage ranks tied for 10th all-time in school history. Dalton punted 62 times during the year as 19 of his punts were downed inside the 20-yard line and 25 of his punts were fair caught. Overall, Dalton had eight punts of 50-plus yards, including a long of 56. Furthermore, ranked third in the Mountain West and 38th nationally in kickoff return defense in 2016, allowing just yards per return. Collins came to after spending four seasons as the head coach and special teams coordinator at Division II South Dakota School of Mines. As head coach at South Dakota School of Mines from , Collins led the Hardrockers to winning seasons in 2013 and 2015, the last being just their third in the past 30 years. During his four years at SDSM, Collins notched 16 victories to become the sixth-winningest coach in program history. Under Collins direction in 2014, South Dakota School of Mines set single-season school records with 5,282 total yards, 3,540 passing yards and 286 first downs and led all of college football in red zone efficiency. SDSM also set single-game school records with 674 total yards vs. William Jewell, 481 passing yards vs. Northwestern and 34 first downs vs. Southwest Baptist. Furthermore, SDSM set the single-season school record for points scored with 386 during the 2013 campaign. As members of the Great Northwest Athletic Conference in 2014 and 2015, South Dakota School of Mines had 14 all-conference honorees under Collins, highlighted by quarterback Trent McKinney, who twice earned first-team honors and was named the conference s Newcomer of the Year in Collins also mentored a pair of record-setting kickers at South Dakota School of Mines in Devon Jones and Kolten Jelden. As the offensive line coach, Farmer mentored a pair of linemen to honorable mention all-mountain West honors last season in Roman Andrus and Quin Ficklin. also played in its sixth bowl game in the past seven seasons during the 2017 campaign. In his first season at in 2016, Farmer helped coach an Aggie offense that recorded its eighth-straight 2,000-yard rushing season. Farmer also coached three offensive linemen to all-mountain West honors in Austin Albrecht, Jake Simonich and Austin Stephens. Following the completion of their collegiate careers, Simonich signed an NFL free agent contract with the Houston Texans and Stephens signed an NFL free agent contract with the Carolina Panthers. Prior to his appointment at, Farmer spent six seasons as the assistant head coach and offensive coordinator at Louisiana-Monroe, coaching the offensive line and tight ends. During his six years at Louisiana-Monroe, Farmer mentored 17 offensive players who earned various all-sun Belt Conference honors, including quarterback Kolton Browning, who was named a College Football News Freshman All-American in 2010 and the Sun Belt Conference Offensive Player of the Year as a junior in 2012, as he helped the Warhawks to eight wins and an appearance in the Independence Bowl, their first since transitioning to the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) level in During the 2012 season, Louisiana- Monroe set or tied 45 school records. As a freshman, Browning tied the Louisiana-Monroe record for touchdown passes in a game (5) and consecutive games with 200-plus yards passing (8). Browning finished his career ranking first all-time in school history in passing yards (10,263), pass completions (951), pass attempts (1,577) and touchdown passes (81). Prior to his six years at Louisiana-Monroe, Farmer spent the 2009 season as the offensive coordinator at Illinois State. From , Farmer also coached at Louisiana- Monroe as the offensive line coach for three seasons and as the offensive coordinator during his final two years. In Farmer s first season at the helm of the ULM offense (2007), the Warhawks posted their highest pointsper-game average (23.5) since moving to NCAA FBS status in ULM also posted the sixth-highest yardsper-game average (385.7) in school history. The Warhawks finished the season ranked 16th in the NCAA in rushing (209.0 ypg) and 31st in fewest sacks allowed (1.5 pg). Farmer led one of the best offensive lines in the history of the Louisiana-Monroe football program in 2007 as they paved the way for Calvin Dawson, a two-time Sun Belt Conference rushing champion and ULM s alltime rushing leader with 3,378 yards, to his best season as a Warhawk as he rushed for 1,414 yards. In 2006, the Louisiana-Monroe offensive line ranked fifth nationally, and first in the Sun Belt Conference, with only 13 sacks allowed on the year. The 2005 Warhawk offensive line allowed quarterback Steven Jyles the opportunity to earn Sun Belt Conference Player of the Year honors and led ULM to a Sun Belt Conference Championship. ULM allowed just eight sacks on the season, which ranked third nationally, and only one in Sun Belt Conference action. In 2004, Farmer s first season with the Warhawks, ULM added 41 yards per game to its offense and only allowed seven sacks, the lowest total in the Sun Belt Conference and second-fewest in the nation. Farmer came to Louisiana-Monroe from Eastern Michigan, where the offensive line helped tailback Anthony Sherrell run for 1,531 yards, setting an EMU singleseason rushing record. Prior to Eastern Michigan, Farmer was the offensive line coach at Eastern Illinois, where in two years his lines allowed just 17 quarterback sacks and helped EIU average over 35 points per game. He tutored eight all- Ohio Valley Conference linemen in those two seasons as the Panthers won the 2001 and 2002 OVC titles and advanced to the NCAA I-AA playoffs both seasons. Farmer spent four years at Illinois State, two as a player and two more as an assistant coach. He coached the ISU defensive tackles in 1999 and tight ends in In 1999, ISU reached the NCAA Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) semifinals. Farmer played center for Illinois State from , and was a member of the Redbirds 1998 FCS playoff team. He earned first-team all-missouri Valley Football Conference honors in 1998 and graduated from ISU in 1999 with a bachelor s degree in physical education. Farmer began his collegiate playing career at one of the most successful junior college programs in the country, Northeastern Oklahoma A&M. It will be Smith s second stint with head coach Matt Wells, as the two were on staff together at New Mexico in Prior to his appointment at, Smith spent the 2017 season at North Carolina and served as Purdue s running backs coach in Prior to his year in West Lafayette, Ind., Smith spent three seasons as the running backs coach at Syracuse. The Orange gained 1,958 yards and scored 15 rushing touchdowns on 445 attempts in Syracuse averaged 4.4 yards per carry and yards per game on the ground in 2015, with freshman Jordan Fredericks rushing for a team-high 607 yards and four touchdowns on 107 attempts. Smith has previously coached running backs at New Mexico (2012, 2008), Illinois ( ), UNLV (2009), Miami (Ohio) ( ) and Northern Illinois ( ), which produced four straight all-conference running backs during his tenure. He also served as the assistant head coach with the RedHawks and as a special teams assistant with the Huskies. He began his coaching career as the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Indiana State ( ). In 17 years of coaching, Smith has mentored four All-Americans and has had nine 1,000-yard rushers. Among the notable running backs to play for him are Mikel LeShoure at Illinois, and Michael Turner and Garrett Wolfe at Northern Illinois. In 2010, LeShoure set Fighting Illini records for rushing yards (1,697), scoring (122 points) and touchdowns (20). He was a second team All-America, a first-team all-big Ten selection and would go on to be a second-round selection by the Detroit Lions. Turner was a two-time second team All-American for the Huskies (2002, 2003) after leading the Mid-American Conference in rushing, while Wolfe earned honorable mention All-America honors in 2004 after ranking fifth nationally in rushing (1,656 yards). Turner was a fifth-round selection by the San Diego Chargers and played eight years in the NFL. Wolfe was a third-round pick by the Chicago Bears. A four-year letterwinner at quarterback for Southwest Missouri State, Smith was the 1990 Division I-AA Offensive Player of the Year as well as an All-American. He was named the Gateway Conference Player of the Decade from 1985 to Smith, who earned his bachelor s degree in organizational communication from SMS in 2002, played professionally for the Calgary Stampeders of the Canadian Football League (1992) and in France (1993). During the 2017 season, Unga helped to its sixth bowl game in the past seven seasons, playing in the NOVA Home Loans Arizona Bowl. As s defensive administrative assistant in 2017, Unga assisted the defensive coaches with daily football operations, primarily working with the linebackers and special teams. During the 2017 season, Unga helped coach a Utah State defense that allowed just passing yards per game, which ranked fourth in the Mountain West and 19th nationally. Unga came to after spending the 2016 football season as a volunteer coach at Orem (Utah) High School, working with the linebackers and special teams. Unga began his collegiate career at Oregon State ( ) before transferring to BYU, where he redshirted in 2011 and then played in 2012 and As a senior, he led the nation with 143 tackles (62-solo, 81-assist). During his two-year BYU career, he recorded 171 tackles (78-solo, 93-assist), which included 1.0 sacks and 10.5 tackles for loss, while adding three forced fumbles, one fumble recovery and one interception, to go along with four pass breakups and one quarterback hurry. Following his collegiate career, Unga signed an NFL free agent contract with the New York Giants and spent three seasons with the franchise. He made his first career start in the NFL against the Dallas Cowboys in 2015 and intercepted a Tony Romo pass during the game. Against the Cowboys, he played every defensive snap (72) and led the team in tackles (12). Unga has two older brothers who also played college football as Paul was a defensive end at Arizona State and J.J. was an offensive guard at Midwestern State. He also has a twin brother, Feti, who played linebacker at Oregon State, while his younger brother, Metuisela, plays tight end at Hawaii, and his other younger brother, Chris, plays nose guard for. Unga graduated from BYU in 2015 with a degree in American Studies of Humanities. During high school, he spent two years at Etiwanda HS in California and two years at Kahuku HS in Hawaii. Following high school, he served a two-year LDS Church Mission in Guatemala from Unga and his wife, Lachelle, have two daughters, Vikatolia and Ofa, and three sons, Kingston, Jon and Apaiata.

As co-offensive coordinator in 2016, Wells mentored one of the best tight ends in school history in Wyatt Houston, who earned honorable mention all-mountain West honors as a senior and finished his career with 86 receptions for 933 yards and nine touchdowns, all of which rank second all-time in school history for a tight end. Following his collegiate career, Houston signed an NFL free agent contract with the Carolina Panthers. During the 2015 season, Houston ranked fourth on the team with 25 receptions for 307 yards and three touchdowns. In 2014, Houston finished the year ranking fifth on the team in both receptions (19) and yards (178), while Jefferson Court ranked tied for second on the team in receiving touchdowns (3). Following the 2014 season, Court was the 37th player selected in the 2015 Canadian Football League Draft by the Ottawa Redblacks. During the 2013 season, Wells was part of an Aggie offense that set school records for pass completions (297), total offensive plays (1,073), touchdown passes (30) and first downs (310), while its 445 points scored and 481 pass attempts both rank second all-time. Furthermore, USU s 56 total touchdowns rank third all-time and its 31.7 points per game average ranks fifth all-time in school history. s tight ends also set the single-season school record for touchdown receptions in 2013 with nine, bettering the previous record of seven set in As tight ends coach, Wells mentored Tialavea, who participated in the 2014 NFL Combine and signed a free agent contract with the Jacksonville Jaguars of the NFL. Tialavea is currently with the Atlanta Falcons. Prior to joining s staff, Wells spent four seasons at Iowa State ( ), working with the tight ends and wide receivers. Wells also helped the Cyclones to back-to-back bowl games as they played in the 2011 New Era Pinstripe Bowl against Rutgers and the 2012 Auto Zone Liberty Bowl against Tulsa. Prior to his stint at Iowa State, Wells spent six years at Louisiana-Monroe serving as an offensive graduate assistant in 2003 before being elevated to a full-time assistant coach from During his last two years at ULM, Wells served as the Warhawks recruiting coordinator, as well as wide receivers coach, and helped bring in the highest-rated recruiting classes ever. The Louisiana-Monroe offense posted the highest scoring average in the school s NCAA FBS history in 2008 as Anthony McCall set a school record for freshman touchdown receptions that season. Wells took over the wide receivers at ULM in 2007 and mentored all-sun Belt second-team selection La- Gregory Sapp, who led the league in yards per reception with 19.6 on 40 catches for 784 yards. In 2004 and 2005, Wells worked with the tight ends and all-sun Belt first-teamer Joey Trappey, who was the top receiving tight end in the conference with 42 receptions for 425 yards. In his current role, Damuni oversees the day-to-day operations of the football program. His responsibilities include the overall management of the football budget, team travel, bowl game coordination and community outreach. Other duties include game day management, the coordination and planning of team events and special projects related to the football program. Damuni, a former tight end and three-year letterwinner at Utah State from , helped the Aggies win back-to-back Big West Conference championships, including a trip to the inaugural Humanitarian Bowl in Damuni returned to after spending five years as the Director of Academic Support for Razorback student-athletes at Arkansas. In all, Damuni spent 10 years in athletic academics at the Division I level at Arkansas, Colorado and Memphis, tracking NCAA initial and continuing eligibility, coordinating the academic affairs for studentathletes and assisting the coaching staff with on-campus recruiting and day-to-day operations. Damuni was a counselor for the State of Utah Juvenile Justice Services in Logan from , serving in different capacities including detention, family crisis intervention and community outreach services. He also served as a liaison between the Juvenile Justice Services and the Hispanic community in the Cache Valley area. He is fluent in Spanish after serving an LDS Church Mission in Monterrey, Mexico. Damuni, who began his collegiate career at Dixie State in St. George, Utah, earned both his undergraduate and graduate degrees from, as he received his bachelor of arts degree in sociology in 1998 with minors in social work and Spanish. He went on to earn a master s degree in business information systems in He then graduated from the NCAA Ethnic Minority Leadership Institute in A native of Laie, Hawaii, Damuni is married to the former Val Tonga of Millbrae, Calif. In his role, Keeton will assist the offensive coaches with daily football operations, primarily working with the inside receivers and tight ends. Keeton comes to after spending the past two seasons as an offensive graduate assistant at Oregon State. During the season, Keeton served as the Beavers offensive quality control coach. The following year, he was an offensive graduate assistant. Keeton worked with OSU s quarterbacks. Prior to heading to Corvallis, Ore., Keeton enjoyed a record-setting career at, which spanned a total of five seasons from He finished his illustrious career with more than 10 school records, including ranking first in career total offense (8,808 yards) and career touchdown passes (62). As a sophomore in 2012, Keeton set singleseason school records for touchdown passes (27), passing yards (3,373), total offensive yards (3,992), completions (275) and completion percentage (.676). One year later, he completed 69.4 percent of his passes to break his own completion percentage record. A season-ending knee injury suffered against BYU cut short Keeton s junior season. Through the first five games, though, he ranked second in the nation with 17 touchdown passes, 22nd in passing efficiency (161.6), 11th in completion percentage (71.0), 18th in total offense (317.2 yards per game) and 25th in passing yards per game (272.4). Keeton earned first-team all-western Athletic Conference honors in 2012 after helping lead the Aggies to their first outright league title since capped its season with a win over Toledo in the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl. Conor Dubin is in his first season with Utah State s football program as a defensive graduate assistant. During his first two seasons with the Sun Devils, he was a defensive student-assistant before being elevated to defensive quality control coach in In 2017, ASU linebacker Sam Christian led the Pac-12 with 127 tackles, averaging 10.6 stops per game, while teammate and fellow linebacker DJ Calhoun ranked ninth in the league with 99 tackles. During the 2016 campaign, linebacker Antonio Longino tied for first in the nation with 1.7 tackles for loss per game, while Koron Crump, another linebacker for the Sun Devils, ranked fifth in the Pac-12 with 0.75 sacks per game. In Dubin s first season at Arizona State, linebacker Fiso Salamo ranked first in the Pac-12 in tackles for loss at 20.0, while Longino was second at Cornerback Kareem Orr led the league in interceptions with six, returning one for a touchdown. Al Lapuaho (pronounced Lah-poo-ah-ho) is in his first season with s football program as a defensive graduate assistant. In his role, Lapuaho will assist the defensive coaches with daily football operations, primarily working with the defensive linemen. Lapuaho comes to after spending the 2016 and 2017 seasons as a defensive graduate assistant at Oregon State, where he worked specifically with the defensive line. The native of West Valley City, Utah, earned first-team all-conference honors at Snow College before making his way to, where he spent his junior and senior seasons in 2011 and Lapuaho started all 26 games during his career with the Aggies, finishing with 66 total tackles, which included 4.0 sacks and 7.0 tackles for loss. He earned first-team all-western Athletic Conference honors as a senior as he led all USU defensive linemen with 35 tackles, which included 3.0 sacks and 4.5 tackles for loss, while adding four quarterback hurries, one forced fumble and one pass breakup. After graduating from with an interdisciplinary studies degree emphasizing in psychology and physical education, Lapuaho signed an NFL free agent contract with the St. Louis Rams. In his role, Gregory will assist in game prep for opponents, analysis of games and practices, and academic/practice schedules for special teams players, among other duties. This is Gregory s first coaching position. The former all-conference punter at East Carolina comes to after a brief stint with the Jacksonville Jaguars last season. Gregory was tabbed a 2017 recipient of the University Scholar-Athlete Award by the National Football Foundation (NFF) and College Hall of Fame. The native of Fort Mill, S.C., also earned membership into the 2017 NFF Hampshire Honor Society. The three-time Ray Guy Award Watch List selection averaged 43.0 yards per punt during his 37-game ECU career, which ranks as the fourth-highest total in school history. He established a single-season standard as a junior by planting 32 punts inside the 20- yard line and was named the Pirates special teams MVP during his final two years of action. Additionally, Gregory stood among the American Athletic Conference s top punters by earning second-team all-league honors as a senior after ranking third with a 42.3 average. As a junior in 2015, Gregory owned the AAC s longest boot with a 73-yarder against USF, and during his sophomore campaign, turned in an average of 43.6 to finish second among all conference punters. Before transferring to ECU, Gregory started his collegiate career at Alabama and was a member of the 2012 Crimson Tide team that defeated Notre Dame, 42-14, in the BCS National Championship Game at Sun Life Stadium in Miami Gardens, Fla. The three-time letterman in football at Fort Mill High School, Gregory was tabbed a five-star performer (Kohls/NCS) who was rated as the No. 1 punter in South Carolina and No. 7 nationally by Chris Sailer Kicking. An honor roll and dean s list performer in the classroom with a cumulative grade point average of 3.218, Gregory graduated from ECU in May of 2016 with a degree in business administration. Jason Shumaker is in his first season with s football program as the Aggies special teams analyst. Shumaker comes to after spending the previous five seasons at Idaho, where he served as the Vandals running backs coach, special teams coordinator and recruiting coordinator. In 2015, running back Elijhaa Penny, who is entering his second season in the NFL with the Arizona Cardinals, became the first Vandal since 2007 to rush for 1,000 yards. Idaho s special teams also excelled under Shumaker s watch as the Vandals had a unit in the top-five of the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) during the 2014, 2015 and 2016 campaigns. All-American punter Austin Rehkow led the effort, as he became Idaho s first four-time first-team all-conference choice. Shumaker also coached Cade Coffey at Idaho. Coffey was tabbed a USA Today Freshman All-American after finishing ninth in the country in punting in Blocking punts became a trademark of Shumaker s special teams as the Vandals were third in the FBS in that category in 2014 and were second in Shumaker joined the staff at Idaho after serving one year as Arkansas Director of High School Relations. They have two children a son, Davis (6), and a daughter, Elliette (5). Justin Udy is in his first season with Utah State s football program as a defensive administrative assistant. In his role, Udy will assist the defensive coaches with daily football operations. Udy comes to after spending the past three seasons at South Dakota School of Mines in Rapid City, S.D., where he served the last two years as the Hardrockers offensive coordinator, recruiting coordinator and wide receivers coach. In 2017, South Dakota School of Mines averaged 31.1 points per game and yards of total offense passing, rushing each time out. Running back Brandon LaBrie was tabbed the 2017 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Freshman of the Year and was a second-team all-conference pick. LaBrie was one of four all-conference performers for the Hardrockers in During the 2016 campaign, South Dakota School of Mines set the school record for total offense in both a game (681 yards vs. Black Hills State) and season (5,486 yards). The Hardrockers also set single-season school bests in rushing yards (2,674) and points (415) that same year. While at South Dakota School of Mines, Udy coached receivers Marcus Sanchez and Rashad Ridley, who were both all-rmac performers in Sanchez is the current record holder for career receiving touchdowns at SDSM. In his time as a coordinator with the Hardrockers, South Dakota School of Mines set a total of seven offensive school records. Scholz came to after spending the 2012 season in the National Football League as a strength, nutrition and conditioning assistant with the San Francisco 49ers. In that position, Scholz was responsible for the programming for quarterbacks and kickers, as well as all the nutritional aspects of the team, including meal planning. Scholz spent the 2011 season as the 49ers strength and conditioning intern. Prior to joining the 49ers, Scholz served as the assistant strength and conditioning coach at for three years ( ), where he assisted in all matters of football and served as the head of sports nutrition. He also was the lead strength and conditioning coach for softball and volleyball. He has served on the Schutt Sports Athletic Council as well as Advisory Councils for Adams and McDavid. In January, 2010, Bair was named the District 8 Athletic Equipment Managers Association (AEMA) Equipment Manager of the Year. A certified member of the AEMA, Bair also serves as the CEU rep for equipment managers in District 8, covering Washington, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Wyoming and Utah. A Lewiston, Utah native, Bair graduated from Sky View High School in Smithfield, Utah and with a business management degree from the Huntsman School of Business in Prior to coming to, Bair worked in the sporting goods industry doing retail and team sales for 10 years. He and his wife, the former Michelle Parker, have three children, Makayla, Nick and Adelynn and a grandson, Jackson. Bill Garren is in his 13th year as the Director of Video Operations for the athletics department and was promoted to Assistant Athletics Director in Garren is responsible for managing all aspects of athletic video and editing within the athletics department, which includes training and supervising a staff of student assistants to shoot all the football practices and games along with men s and women s basketball games. His responsibilities also include the day-to-day operations of the video room, overseeing all of the digital TV needs, overseeing creative services, overseeing Mountain West Conference live streaming, and assisting with the video needs of USU s 16 intercollegiate sports. Garren also provides technical support and training for coaches and support staff. Garren has been voted the Video Coordinator of the Year a total of six times in the Mountain West (2013, 2017) and Western Athletic Conference ( ) by his peers and the Collegiate Sports Video Association (CSVA). Prior to his current role at, Garren served as the video coordinator at Idaho State in 2000 and 2001, before moving to San José State for the 2002 season. He was then an assistant football and track coach at his high school in Montrose, Colo., in 2003 before spending the 2004 and 2005 seasons as video coordinator at Idaho State. Garren earned a master s degree in athletic administration from Idaho State in Garren, who was born April 3, 1976 in Grand Junction, Colo., was an all-conference football player at Montrose High School. He played two seasons at Ricks College (currently BYU-Idaho) and then one season at Idaho State before beginning his video career.
