Hotel Accommodations The host hotel of the 2018 Seahawk Holiday Classic is: Omni Hilton Head Oceanfront Resort 23 Ocean Lane Hilton Head Island, SC Phone: The Omni Hilton Head Oceanfront Resort Hilton Head will provide five (5) rooms for three (3) nights as part of their tournament package. These reservation requests must be submitted via to FWIGGINS@OMNIHOTELS.COM with: School Name Mailing Address Coach(es) Name Contact Telephone Number Arrival/Departure Date All other reservation requests must be made through the Omni reservations line at ! Additional rooms are available at a discounted rate: Resort view ($89), Courtyard view ($109), and Ocean View ($129) plus a $22 resort fee. All additional rooms are subject to availability and will be booked on a first come, first served basis. Omni Resort has a zero tolerance policy for noise and any related disturbances! Please stress to coaches, teams, and schools that any such violation will result in the team/school being vacated from the property! 4

5 Ticket Information & Tournament Passes Tournament tickets are available on a per day basis at $8 each. Three (3) day tournament passes may be purchased at the game site for $20. Each team will receive ten (10) tournament passes for members of their school s travel party as part of their tournament package. All members of the team (players, coaches, and managers) listed on the submitted tournament roster are admitted free of charge. Tournament Awards At the conclusion of the tournament, the all-tournament team will be selected by the tournament coaches as follows: Marcus Warren Tournament MVP & 1 selection 1st place team 2 selections 2nd place team 1 selection 3rd place team 1 selection 4th place team Ron Costello Sportsmanship Award will be given to one boys and one girls team who models excellent sportsmanship during the tournament. Practice Accommodations Practice times will be available in both gyms beginning Thursday at 4:00 pm with one hour time slots. The practice times will be assigned on a first come, first served basis by contacting Ken Updike ( kenneth.updike@beaufort.k12.sc.us ) or Sean Rochester ( sean.rochester@beaufort.k12.sc.us ). Game Management The court will be made available thirty (30) minutes prior to the first game time of each day. For example, if a game is scheduled to begin at 9:00 am, the court will be available at 8:30 am. Team in the game immediately following the current game may NOT warm-up at halftime of the preceding game per South Carolina High School League rules. The floor will be made available for warm-ups immediately following the preceding game. Please help us maintain our playing surfaces by keeping your players, coaches, and fans off the courts between games and during halftime. Games will consist of four (4) eight (8) minute quarters. The halftime will be ten (10) minutes in length. Each overtime period, if necessary, will be four (4) minutes in length. 5

6 The official game ball of the 2018 Seahawk Holiday Classic is the Under Armour 695 for the boys bracket, and the Wilson Evolution for the girls bracket. Please provide a scorer for your team that will sit at the scorer s table and take care of your scorebook - both home and away teams must provide a scorer. Please consult the tournament event schedule for game times. Tournament brackets have been provided at the end of the tournament guide. Scouting/Filming Live scouting is permissible during each game of the 2018 Seahawk Holiday Classic. Each team is permitted to film the game in which they are participating. Filming games in which a team is not participating in is strictly prohibited. Uniforms/Team Benches Teams must bring both light and dark uniforms. For the tournament, the team on the bottom of the bracket is the designated home team and will wear the light colored uniform; the team on the top of the bracket will be the visiting team and wear the dark colored uniform. The home bench will be to the left of the scorers table as you stand at center court, and in pre-game, teams will warm-up opposite their bench. Please clean up your bench area following your game. Athletic Trainer Our head athletic trainer, Shawn Zink, and his staff will be on site throughout all three days of the tournament. Our full training room at the high school will be available throughout the tournament. The middle school will have a trainer on site for minor needs. Any major needs, including taping, must be taken care of at the HHIHS training room. Teams will be provided with sideline water and a limited amount of cups per game. We recommend bringing a rack of water bottles to the tournament and we can accommodate cleaning them for you. Teams will need to provide their own sideline towels, and we can accommodate washing them for you as well. Parking Team buses and van parking is located in the parking lot next to the tennis courts on the high school campus nearest to the gym entrance, or the front parking lot (turn left from tennis court lot) of the school. Fan parking for HHIHS gym is located in the tennis court parking lot, across the street at Hilton Head Elementary, or in the front parking lot of the high school. 6

9 OMNI HILTON HEAD OCEANFRONT RESORT SEAHAWK HOLIDAY CLASSIC 2018 Dear Coach, The Seahawk Holiday Classic Tournament Committee would like to extend an official invitation to participate in the Omni Hilton Head Oceanfront Resort Seahawk Holiday Classic at Hilton Head Island High School on 12/21-12/23. The Tournament in the past has been able to attract some of the finest basketball teams in South Carolina and surrounding States. Omni Hilton Head Oceanfront Resort on Hilton Head Island will provide lodging for three nights of the tournament (5 rooms per team). We are unable to assist with meals or transportation. Schools will be responsible for any damage to the hotel rooms and must abide by the quiet hours posted by hotel management!!!
