The Wave received one vote in the final coaches poll. The Wave achieved five wins against the RPI Top-100 and received only two losses outside the Top-75 Ranked 46th nationally in scoring defense (58.3 ppg) and 2nd in The American - was ranked as low as 13th and was in top-25 until Feb. 14 Tulane held 8 opponents to 50 points or less and went 11-0 when they held their opposition to under 35 percent shooting. Wave averaged 18.8 forced turnovers and 9.8 steals, with the latter ranking 3rd in The American and 50th in the nation. In addition, Tulane s turnover margin ranked third in the conference and 75th in the country. Ultimately, Tulane averaged 17.8 ppg off of turnovers. Tulane had 10 games decided by single digit points, and in those instances, they went 6-4. Kolby Morgan ranked 2nd among freshmen in scoring with 12.2 ppg and 12th overall - also led team Morgan: American All-Freshmen Team, 3rd Team All-Conference, 4x Freshmen of the Week, & Louisiana Freshman of the Year Morgan led the Wave in scoring, field goals made (4.4), free throws made (2.2), steals (2.1) and minutes played (28.5). Morgan ultimately tallied 20 double-digit scoring efforts, leading the team in scoring in 12 games. Tulane will look to fill the void of graduates Danielle Blagg, Adesuwa Ebomonwyi, Tiffany Dale and Jamie Kaplan, who combined for 3,935 points, which accounted for 46.1 percent of the team s scoring over the past four years Last time Tulane had at least five true freshmen on the squad was the season First year in The American resulted in an 11-7 conference record and six-seed in the conference tournament - where they reached the semis Courtnie Latham produced the strongest finish to last season, registering double-digit points in seven of the final 13 games, including four of the last six. Over those 13 games, Latham averaged 8.6 ppg, while shooting 47 percent from the field and 14-of-33 from three-point range. Leslie Vorpahl averaged 8.9 points in true road games, shooting 51.7 percent from the floor and 51.5 percent from beyond the arc.
