2 Texas Tech Women s Golf JoJo Robertson Head Coach n First Season John Cleary Assistant Coach n First Season JoJo Robertson begins her first season as the head women s golf coach at Texas Tech after being named to the post on June 25, Robertson, who has regional ties and played collegiate golf at Oklahoma State, recently completed her fifth season with the Boilermakers, whom she helped lead to back-to-back Big Ten Championships. The Roswell, N.M., native also was instrumental in Purdue s four-straight top ten NCAA Championship finishes, including runner-up and fourth-place finishes in 2007 and Under Robertson s tutelage, Big Ten Female Athlete of the Year and Purdue women s golfer Maria Hernandez won the 2009 NCAA Championship and the last two conference individual titles. In just her second season, the 2006 squad turned in one of the most successful seasons in program history that culminated in the NCAA Championships. The Boilermakers won a school-record six tournaments, including the Big Ten Championship and the NCAA West Regional Championship. The 1995 and 1997 U.S. Women s Amateur Public Links champion, Robertson enjoyed a distinguished collegiate career at Oklahoma State, which included a Big 12 first-team honor during her senior season and a team conference championship. Her amateur career included a ranking of No. 11 on Golfweek magazine s Female Amateur List in 1997 as well as being named one of the top 10 amateurs by Golf Digest. Robertson participated in the 1997 and 1998 U.S. Women s Opens, making the cut in Additionally, in 1998, she was a member of the United States Curtis Cup team. John Cleary, who joined Texas Tech after a successful coaching career at Northern Illinois, begins his first season in with the Lady Raider golf program. Cleary, one of the top collegiate coaches in the country, makes the move from Northern Illinois where he spent the previous seven seasons as the head men s coach. During his tenure at Northern Illinois, he led the Huskies to five team titles while mentoring Nick Schenk, the school s first First-Team All-MAC (Mid- American Conference) selection in over two decades. He also tutored Andrew Frame, the MAC Freshman of the Year in Just the second head coach in the 50-year history of the program, Cleary s impact was felt in his first season of During that initial campaign, the Glenview, Ill. native helped lower Northern Illinois scoring average by more than eight strokes. The Huskies posted top 10 finishes in seven of their 10 tournaments and came home with titles from the Bradley Fall Classic and the Illinois State Intercollegiate. Clearly earned his bachelor s degree from the University of Kansas in He began his coaching career in 1997 as an assistant coach at Loyola (Ill.) and then moved on to Northwestern University where he served as the women s coach for three seasons and one year with the Wildcat men s team. Golf Digest Magazine rated him as the ninth best golf teacher in the state of Illinois in its July issue. He is a member of the PGA and played in the 2000 Western Open. Prior to joining the collegiate ranks as a coach, Robertson was an assistant professional at Spring River Golf Course in Roswell from While playing on the Futures Professional Tour from , she was also an assistant professional at the New Mexico Military Institute Golf Course through Robertson coached the West Lafayette (Ind.) High School girls golf team in the fall of 2004 and worked at Purdue s Birck Boilermaker Golf Complex as an assistant professional until her hiring as an assistant coach at Purdue in 2005.

3 Rosalyn Kim Senior n Belton, Texas Texas Tech Women s Golf SPRING 2010 (SENIOR) Enjoyed a career-best season in her final season as a Lady Raider as she made her first career appearance at the NCAA Championships following a career-best third place finish at the NCAA East Regional... following the NCAA Championships, she became the first Lady Raider to be named to the NGCA East All-Region team... led her team to a fifth place finish following her seventh place individual title at the Big 12 Championships as she was named to the Big 12 All-Tournament team for the second straight year... ended the season with a 75.6 average per-round. FALL 2009 (SENIOR) Finished second on the squad with an average round of 74.0 over 12 rounds in four different tournaments... posted a third place finish at the Heather Farr Memorial in Colorado to help Tech win the team title. SPRING 2009 (JUNIOR) Peaked during the spring and led the squad with three top 10 finishes over the course of six events... put up her best showing of the year at the Cane & Cardinal Classic in Miami as she posted a fourth place finish by firing a +6 with rounds of 74, 75 and finished tied for 10th at both the UNLV Invitational and the Big 12 Championships hosted by Texas Tech. FALL 2008 (JUNIOR) Played in four events during the fall season of her junior year... highest finish was at the UNLV Rebel Classic in which she finished 14th overall... finished in the top 30 at both the Heather Farr Memorial Invitational and the Challenge at Wolfdancer. SPRING 2008 (SOPHOMORE) Played in 10 tournaments during recording an average of per round recorded two top 20 finishes placed 18th at the McHaney/Morehead Invitational with a 14-over 233 notched her second top 20 finish of the season at the Pat Bradley Championship shooting a 10-over 226 finished the year at the Big 12 Championships shooting a 256 and tying for 47th. FALL 2007 (SOPHOMORE) Competed in five events during the fall and had a stroke average of she had two top 20 finishes this season best finish came at the Pat Bradley tournament where she finished 13th with a score of 10 over par... her low round for the seasons was 72. SPRING 2007 (FRESHMAN) Had a busy spring season competing in seven events... posted her personal best in the UNLV Invite, shooting two under par... her ninth place finish at the Rio Verde Classic was a personal best for her during the spring... had one top 10 finish and an average score of after twenty rounds of play... finished the spring with a career average of through 11 events, fourth among current Lady Raiders. FALL 2006 (FRESHMAN) Participated in all four of the events held during the fall season, her first at the collegiate level... fired a one-under 72 during the second round of the Dick McGuire Invitational, her career-low and the lowest score recorded by a Tech golfer during the tournament... saw her best finish come in the season s final event, the GSU/Pelican Invitational, when she contributed to Tech s tournament victory by placing 24th with a season-low three-round score of 224. 4 Texas Tech Women s Golf Junior n Lubbock, Texas SPRING 2010 (JUNIOR) Saw action in all seven tournaments of the spring season, including her first NCAA tournament appearance... recorded her lone top-five finish of the season as she led the Lady Raiders to third place in the Baylor Invitational as she turned in a solid 227 (11-over par) three-round total. FALL 2009 (JUNIOR) Posted a solid fall for the Lady Raiders that was highlighted by her first collegiate individual medalist honor... Gibson won the 2009 Heather Farr Memorial in Colorado with a career low round score of 213 (3-under) and helped guide Tech to the team tournament title... ended the fall with a 74.3 average per-round. SPRING 2009 (SOPHOMORE) Earned a roster spot in five events during the spring with a high finish of 24th at the UNLV Invitational. SPRING 2009 (SOPHOMORE) Competed in four tournaments, including the Big 12 Championships hosted at the Texas Tech Rawls Course... turned in an 18th place finish at the Mountain View Collegiate in which she shot 5-over par ( )... at that same tournament she established a new career low round with a second day score of tied for 31st with teammate Ulrika van Niekerk at the Canes & Cardinal Classic in Miami. FALL 2008 (SOPHOMORE) After sitting out the spring, Smith returned to play in the fall of 2008 and made the roster in five tournaments... average a 77.1 stroke average over 15 rounds... had her best outing at the Challenge at Wolfdancer as she ended up 23rd overall after shooting a three round score of 234 ( ).
