Player Behaviour: ALL unacceptable player behaviour and swearing will now be referred to and handled by Orange Hockey Incorporate (OHI). Please direct accordingly. Inward and Outward Correspondence Inward Mail from OHI to all clubs titles 2017 Hockey Season January 27 th read out. - ALL Women s Team Nominations are due the 10th MARCH, however these are requested to be submitted ASAP Please. - Junior Nominations are due the 7 th April. - Both MUST BE ED to: secretary.orangehockey@gmail.com - PENALTY of $100 for team withdrawal after the draw is completed. - Women s/men s Competition begins weekend of: April 1 & 2 - Junior Competition begins weekend of: April 29 & 30 - MANDATORY Working with Children Check Numbers must be updated with OHI. - Requests for new training times must be submitted on the electronic form. Outward Mail from current OWH to OHI requesting a set of guidelines to assist OWH to work in unison with OHI for positive 2017 season (see letter attached to minutes). OHI response as per below (with some part omitted for privacy) OHI is unable to put together a specific set of guidelines other than those already available due to the varied situations occur during the season. To date the only thing the Incorporate Committee has varied this year in the executive roles is that the incorporate committee will be doing all the draws to enable them to be placed online as part of the roll out of the Revolutionise package introduced by Hockey NSW. The Revolutionise package may be tested with some clubs with the view of using them down the track. There are a number of internet sites that can help your committee if you are unsure of the roles such as Ausport and the Department of Sport and Recreation. Please feel free to contact the incorporate executive if any situation arises that you are unsure how to handle. All member protection complaints and judiciary matters should be forwarded to the incorporate committee for the appropriate action. 1

2 - Floor discussion re: 1. disappointment at not being able to have a vocal delegate at the OHI meetings but merely (with a written request) as an observer. 2. The longevity of the OWH committee given the loss of a number of roles previously allocated. 3. Concern about Revolutionise not being able to adequately allocate umpiring duties, as it loses human factor of knowing teams and player situations. After your first 5 games of umpiring you will be given a $10 bonus from OWH from game 6 onwards. The floor formally acknowledged Gail with applause and thanked her for her efforts in this current role and the numerous other executive roles held over the many years she has been involved with OWH. OWHA By-Laws Clause 1. 1e: An executive member wishing to vacate their position can do so by declaring their vacancy in writing giving 28 days notice. OWH will now call for any interested party to submit a written nomination form (see attached) who wish to be considered for this position. We firstly would like to thank you for your time in meeting with our committee at the end of We found the information addressed informative as we head into the 2017 season. Our committee, in the best interest of hockey, wish to move forward into the 2017 season in a positive manner and as such would warmly welcome some more information in order to do this successfully. We believe a specific set of guidelines outlining all aspects of our obligations in accordance with the constitution and by-laws will provide us with the necessary guidance to do this. We believe with clear insight into these roles the Orange Women s Hockey Committee will be able to better understand the relationship between ourselves and OHI and adhere to the role expectations of this sub-committee. Our meeting for the commencement of the 2017 season will be Monday 6 th February and we welcome the opportunity to explain the aforementioned requested specific guidelines of our sub-committee roles, as to inform and educate all clubs.
