3 Rich Stewart, aka STEWBO, was the ultimate team player & teammate Rich Stewbo Stewart Despite playing only 8 games in 4 years, Stewbo was a huge part of his St. Lawrence University team. He came to the rink with a smile everyday, worked hard everyday, was never a distraction and participated in hockey for the pure love of the sport.

11 When I Started Coaching Something was Missing Despite my hockey experience & knowledge I was missing something: That emphasized life skills first Made the journey a priority Was fun, challenging and competitive at the same time Made skill development (repetition) more bearable Would keep kids motivated Would keep parents quiet So I started something called The Stewbo Cup

Something I developed over 7 years ago Have been refining it by coaching at every level in amateur hockey (College, U18, Midget, Bantam, Peewee, Squirt, Mite) Experimenting at different times of year, situations and levels (boys, girls, tier, travel, in-house) Is built for the kids because it is called Youth Sports after all Is at the core of every team I have coached
