3 GNAC Women s Soccer Championships Preview Defensive Showcase To Highlight The 2017 GNAC Women s Soccer Championships. With the four GNAC Championships teams clinching a berth in the penultimate week of the regular season, it was a wild final week that decided where each team was ultimately seeded. After five seasons of Western Washington dominance, Concordia claimed the top seed heading into the 2017 GNAC Women s Soccer Championships in Portland after going unbeaten in conference action (11-0-1). The Cavaliers win put a halt to the Vikings 39-game win streak and 40-game unbeaten streak as WWU ended the regular season one-point shy of a first-place tie. For the first time in tournament history, the Vikings enter the GNAC Championships as the No. 2 seed. Advancing to the GNAC playoffs for the sixth-straight year, Seattle Pacific enters as the No. 3 seed. Tied with Northwest Nazarene with 24 points, the Falcons edged the Nighthawks (No. 4 seed) on conference tiebreaker. On the opposite end of the spectrum, NNU is appearing in its first GNAC Championships in program history.
