1 Triathlon information sheet Already an experienced hand at swimming, cycling or running (or maybe all three?!), and want to step your training up a notch to really push your body further? Then a triathlon could be just the ticket to help you step-it-up. This hardcore mix of swimming, running and cycling is something that even practiced athletes need to train well for, so it s no easy ride. But that sense of accomplishment that comes when you successfully complete your triathlon is like no other. Alternatively, you could team up with friends or work colleagues to do a team triathlon event of your own each doing their preferred activity, or swapping around to give each other a taste of something new, but with an experienced friend to help in training. Teamwork, fun and fitness a great combination!

2 But how do you start training for a triathlon? Is there any advice you should follow? And what should you know before you decide to sign up for your first triathlon? To successfully complete your goal of competing in a triathlon, takes more than just the desire to do it it takes planning, training and preparation. It may push your body to the limits especially if you ve only focused on one discipline before - but if you put in the time, effort and energy into your training, then you ll finish your triathlon feeling triumphant and exhilarated Are you ready? We recommend one of two types of triathlon - standard and supersprint. Both incorporate a 10k component alongside a whole lot more so you can complete your 10kAnyWay challenge in a spectacular way! See the links below to find out lots of helpful advice and tips on how best to plan, prepare and train for your triathlon. What s the difference between standard and supersprint?
