Trail Team Maremma TTM organizes the PMRR race that will take place Sunday 1 th of October 2017, with departure and arrival from Alberese (Grosseto) - ITALY. This event has a limited number of available places as it takes place in the Regional Park of Maremma: PMRR 14K- elevation gain; Parco Maremma Run Race 14 Km, competitive running +D 400 m of - Limited number of participants: 150 pax, - Time limit: 3 hours (10:00 a.m. to 01:00 p.m.) - Date: Sunday, October 1 st, 2017 ATTENTION!!! READING THE REGULATIONS AND ATTENDING TO THE BRIEFING IS MANDATORY- NOT FOLLOWING THESE RULES HERE CONTAINED AND OF THE POSSIBLE WARNINGS COMMUNICATED VIA INTERNET (MAIL, WEB, FACEBOOK) AND DURING THE BRIEFING MAY RESULT IN THE EXCLUSION TO PARTICIPATE IN THE RACE. All the informations are available here: For updates, changes in the program and regulations you can follow us on: THE RULES AND OBLIGATIONS TO BE RESPECTED ARE FIRST OF ALL THERE FOR YOUR OWN SAFETY Art. 2 CONDITIONS FOR REGISTRATION TO THE PMRR 14 K PARCO MAREMMA RUN RACE All athletes which reached the age of majority and are in possess of a medical certificate for competitive activity, valid on the 2nd of October Athletes who are serving suspensions for using performance- enhancing substances won t be accepted. This is a race for athletes which are not particularly experienced in off- road races,

2 nevertheless in case of adverse weather conditions, the race could be very difficult and challenging. Before proceeding with the registration we recommend a careful evaluation of the path, of your health conditions and your capabilities to handle the effort. You should go to the race being conscious of having a proper training and knowledge of your real personal autonomy capacity. Therefore to participate it is essential to: be absolutely aware of the length and specificity of the race be physically and mentally perfectly prepared. have acquired, before the race, a real capacity of personal autonomy, to be able to better manage the problems related to this type of test, in particular: to be able to face alone, without help, climatic conditions which can become difficult due to weather conditions (wind, cold, heat, fog, rain); to be able to handle, even if you are isolated, physical or psychological problems due to fatigue, gastrointestinal problems, muscle or joint pain, small wounds or bruises; A valid medical certificate for competitive sports recognized in your country of residence is required to validate the registration. Art. 3 REGISTRATION: OPENING AND CLOSING (CLOSED NUMBER) Registration for this event will open on 31st Jan. 2017, and will close on 1st October 2017 or upon reaching a number of 150 participants. The registrations are managed directly from the website in the special section "registration". To access the registration a previous signing- up is required. For the registration and insurance purpose, all foreign athletes, that are not associate to any Italian Team, must send a copy of personal ID to our e.mail address. Art. 4 WILD CARD The Organisers reserve the right to assign, at their discretion, a number of WILD CARDS to be allocated to: - sponsor, - élite athletes, - journalists, personalities.

3 Art. 5 PARTICIPATION FEES PMRR 14K PARCO MAREMMA RUN RACE: ENTRY: 5,00 from 31st Jan. until 31st Aug. LATE ENTRY: 10,00 from 1st Sept. until 1st Oct. The registration fee include: - entrance to the Maremma Park (restricted to the race); - water supplies along the way; - medical assistance along the way; - transport back if necessary to Alberese in case of injury or abandon 1 of the participant; - buffet upon arrival; For the registration and insurance purpose, all foreign athletes, that are not associate to any Italian Team, must send a copy of personal ID to our e.mail address. Art. 6 DISCLAIMER OF RESPONSIBILITY AND MEDICAL CERTIFICATE To complete the registration, you must send the medical certificate for competitive sports and the disclaimer of responsibility document by e- mail to iscrizioni@utpmtuscany.com no later than September 24th, 2017 or while picking- up your bib the day of the race (no later than 09:00 a.m.) on 1 st October In the event that the registered participant does not provide a medical certificate and the disclaimer in due time, he/she will not be allowed to take part in the competition. Italian athletes: - send a copy of the medical certificate when registering. Accepted medical certificates are those that conform to the model B1: Track and Field (atletica leggera). Those who will present only the FIDAL card or those coming from another sport promotion agency, without accompanying a medical certificate, will not be allowed to participate in the PMRR. Alternatively a declaration signed by the president of the belonging Sporting Society which states that the cardholder/s is/are in compliance with the medical certificate may be accepted. Foreign athletes: - will have to present the certificate which can be found here: printed, signed and duly filled- in by a medical doctor. It will not be possible to take part in the event without delivery of the certificates above. Regarding the insurance coverage during the event, reference is made to what is reported in the Regulation of UISP: 5.pdf 1 In designated areas

4 Art. 7 ACCEPTANCE OF THE REGULATIONS AND ETHICS OF THE EVENT Participation in PMRR involves the unconditional acceptance of the Regulations and Ethics of the race published by and accessible on: and Corri nella Maremma regulation available at: Art. 8 REIMBURSEMENT OF THE REGISTRATION FEES In case of cancellation of the race the registration fees will be not returned. It is not allowed to: - Exchange or transfer bibs to another person under any circumstances; - To postpone the registration fees to the following year. In case of cancellation of the race due to force majeure, up to 15 days before the event, the Organization reserves the right to repay an amount equal to 50% of the registration fees. This percentage is justified by the many expenses that the Organization has already made and that may not be recovered. In case of reduction of the itinerary, interruption or cancellation of the competition for adverse weather conditions, or for any other reasons beyond the Organization s control, no refund will be due to the participants. 5 For more information and possible last minute changes, follow us on our webpage under "NEWS" and Art. 10 ROUTES All routes are entirely within the Maremma Park, with the following characteristics: - 1 LEG: about 6 Km asphalt mainly uphill; - 2 LEG: about 3 Km single track with a challenging climb; - 3 LEG: about 4 Km mostly downhill gravel road; - 4 LEG: about 1 Km asphalt. Altogether 14 Km with 50% of asphalt while the remaining 50% of the track is characterized by paths in the forest, some gravel roads, rocky trails, single track and sandy stretches, all in a pristine natural environment within a is a protected natural environment. The path can be changed, even at the last moment, for reasons of force majeure independent by the organization. For this reason, participants are invited to follow the possible updates on the news sections published on the website under: The kilometers of the route are not marked. The participants must comply strictly to the race field marked by flags, tapes, ribbons, wooden poles and other biodegradable mean, and avoid taking shortcuts or cut sections of the track. Two hours before the departure there will be a forerunner on the track to verify the correct marker race position. The race markers are placed at the maximum distance of 300 mt. from each other. If you don t see a marker within 600 mt. we suggest to go back until the last marker that you have seen and pay more attention on the race marker. In annex A you will find the meaning and the kind of race marker placed on the track. Moving away from the official route, given the access regulations within the park, is strictly prohibited, even for reasons of personal safety, and it implies an immediate disqualification from the race. It is also forbidden to remove markers from the route; such an act will result in immediate disqualification of the participant. Art. 11 SAFETY In the riskiest places on the route there will be persons of the Organization team. One ambulance with paramedics will be present in: - Start / finish area, - Pratini area, - San Rabano area All the athletes, during the briefing and during the bibs pick- up will be informed about race safety and emergency regulations. Furthermore a document called Emergency and Safety Plan will be provided to all participants. The numbers to call the organization in case of emergency will be announced during the bibs pick- up.

6 Art. 12 ENVIRONMENTAL/ECO RESPONSABILITY Participants must behave any time respectfully towards the environment, keeping in mind that all the race takes place in a natural protected environment. Anyone surprised to abandon the marked path or to through any object or litter will be immediately disqualified. The Maremma Park Trail UTPM- TPM- PMRR adhere to the campaign promoted by the Spirito Trail "I do not throw my trash." Art. 13 WEATHER In the event of major weather phenomena (thick fog, storms), the organization reserves the right, even at the last minute or after the race start, to vary the route in order to eliminate potential hazards or severe conditions for participants and volunteers. Any changes will be communicated to participants and reported by the organizers. The organization also reserves the right to suspend or cancel the race if the weather conditions imply a high risk for the safety of the participants, volunteers and rescuers. In case of interruption or cancellation of the competition for weather conditions, or for any other reasons beyond the Organization s control, no refund will be due to the participants. Art. 14 COMPULSORY AND RECOMMENDED RACE MATERIAL It is compulsory to have with you, all over the duration of the race, the following material:. hydration pack or water bottle containing at least 1/2 liter of liquids;. cups, glasses, water bottle (no glass will be available at the refreshment points);. water- proof jacket;. bib visible during the entire duration of the race;. flashlight;. whistle;. charged cell phone with the number of the organization.. We also suggest you bring the following items: - gel, energy bar; - first aid kit; - waterproof- sun hat; - sun glasses. THE ABOVE IS REQUIRED IN THE INTEREST OF YOUR SAFETY! Art. 15 SEMI-SELF-SUFFICIENCY AND REFRESHMENTS The runs is under a semi- self- sufficiency regime - see art. 14 "Compulsory material". On the PMRR route there are 2 water supply stations: - Water supply; placed at about Km 6 Pratini area. - Water supply; placed at about Km 9 - San Rabano area. Art. 16 DISQUALIFICATION The following reasons will imply an immediate disqualification, with the withdrawal of the bib number: - Cutting of the race track;

7 - Abandoning litter on the path; - Lack of compulsory equipment. - Failure to rescue a participant in difficulty; - Insults, threats, failure to follow instructions given by the organizers or volunteers. Considering the particular and protected environment in which the event is held, the Natural Park of Maremma, we ask all the participants to respect the following rules, which are part of the Park Regulations: Do not throw any object or litter on the ground, like non- recyclable waste (glass, cans, plastic bags, etc..); in well- demarcated and established refreshment areas water supply through glasses or bottles will be ensured and provided. The organization will provide at the exit of these specific areas trash containers for glasses and/or bottles; any litter or object can be thrown after this point and in case of misbehaviour the participant will be immediately disqualified. It is possible to file a complaint against a disqualification which excludes the athlete from the final ranking, or against any other penalty or condition leading the athlete to a final results position different from the expected one (without any perturbations). The complaint must be made in writing and presented to the Judge within 30 minutes from the exposure of the list of athletes who have been disqualified, sanctioned or excluded from the final ranking. Filing fees of (fifty, 00 euro) shall be paid to file a complaint. If the protest is not upheld, the claimant will lose the filing fees. If the complaint is accepted, the fees will be refunded. The measure taken by the judge is formally "communicated" to the complainant who shall countersign the formal communication. Art. 17 TIME LIMIT, WITHDRAWALS The maximum time to reach arrival is set at: - PMRR: 3 (three hours); by 01:00 p.m. of Sunday, October 1 st Alberese The last participants will be accompanied by a member of the organization, that will provide assistance in case of injury or abandon. In case an athlete abandons the race, his/her return to Alberese is secured by service vehicles (shuttles) placed along the route and adequately indicated in the maps. Please take note of their position. ATTENTION: participants arriving after the settled time limit for the race will not be included in the final ranking. Art. 18 PRIZES Prizes will be awarded to the first three women and to the first three men. There will be no cash prizes. The winners in each category, women and men, as shown in the following table will also be awarded (regulation Corrinellamaremma):

8 MEN WOMEN age group18-39 age group age group age group age group age 50 and over age group age group age group age 65 and over Art. 19 IMAGE RIGHTS By registering, the participants authorize the Organization to freely use, without territorial limits and time, still and moving images that portray them during the participation to the race held in the Maremma Park. Art. 20 STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITY The voluntary registration and the subsequent participation in the race imply the full acceptance of these regulations and any subsequent changes. By registering, participants exempt the organizers from any liability, both civil and criminal, for damages to persons and/or property caused by them or depending on their actions.
