No: registrations will be closed on 28th March Registrations after this deadline will not be accepted (on the registrations sent via post, the postmark will be considered). However, ASD Milano City Marathon Club retains the right to close registrations prior to this deadline, as well to accept entries after it. I registered on-line: when shall I send my medical license? The copy of the medical license (testifying that the athlete s physical condition is such as to allow performance at competitive levels) must be handed when picking up the race number and kit.

2 Is there an age limit to take part in the marathon? The cartellino di partecipazione alle gare su strada is a card which authorize you to take part in the race in case you re not member of FIDAL (Athletics Italian Federation) or of another Sports Federation affiliated with IAAF. The cartellino costs 5.00: the amount includes 2.00 for the FIDAL Regional Committee and 3.00 for the FIDAL compulsory insurance. How can I pay my registration fee? On-line registrations: payment by credit card Via fax registrations: payment on postal current account or with bank transfer Via mail registrations: payment on postal current account or with bank transfer Can I pay when I retire my race number and kit? No, see above when to pay.

3 Can I register more than one person at the same time? On-line it is possibile do only single registrations, but with the other methods (via fax and via mail) you can register more than one person (using the specific form available on home page), however sending a unique, collective payment. Can I pick up my race number and kit the day of the race? No: to facilitate the organization, the participants won t be able to pick up race numbers and kits the day of the marathon (10th April). The race number and the race kit can be picked up on Thursday 7th April from 12am to 8pm, on Friday 8th April from 10am to 8pm and on Saturday 9th April from 10am to 8pm in the Marathon Village. The race numbers and kits will be given only to those participants who will present the confirmation letter (completed and signed) and a valid identity card. Race kits and numbers can be taken also by third people, with written delegation, confirmation letter of the person who delegates and photocopy of a valid identity document. Only with specific request it is possible to receive the race number by post (not the race kit that will be picked-up after the race) with the payment of cash on delivery. What if I cannot take part any longer in the marathon? Under no circumstances are the entry fees refundable. However, the registered athletes who cannot take part in the marathon have two options: 1) Transfer of registration to another person. It is possible to transfer the registration to another person by formal request to be made by 28th March 2011 and by payment of an extra fee for office expenses. The substituting participant must provide all information necessary for the application. 2) Transfer of registration to Milano City Marathon In case the athlete communicates his/her absence before 2nd April 2011, he/she will have the possibility to use the fee for the following 2012 marathon, by paying an additional fee of 15.00, without possibility to demand a further transfer of registration to successive year or the transfer to another person. Can I transfer my registration to another person? Yes, according to the proceedings mentioned above.

4 How can I verify my correct registration? You can directly verify your registration on the website ASD Milano City Marathon will send to all the registered athletes a confirmation letter via ; in case the address has not been indicated, an SMS containing the instructions about the correct download of confirmation letter from Timing Data Service web site will be sent. This confirmation letter will indicate every participant s assigned race number and constitutes the only valid document for taking the race number in the Marathon Village. Athletes who are not able to print the confirmation letter will get it at the proper secretary office close to the race number collection area. Does the race start and finish in the same place? No. The race starts in via Buonarroti, Rho, and finishes in piazza Castello, right in the centre of Milan. Is there a bags deposit area? Yes. This bag, appropriately numbered, will constitute the only container accepted by the organization, and it will be taken, supervised and given back at the end of the race, in the apposite reserved room bags deposit. Are there refreshments and sponging stations, along the course? Yes. According to the IAAF/FIDAL rulebook, there will be refreshments stations with fresh water after the finish line and every 5 kilometres along the course. Beginning at the 20 km, fruit, cookies and energy bars will also be available. In their bags, athletes will find 2 personal sponges which they will be able to carry on them during the race and soak using the tanks of running water located along the course every 5 kilometres, starting from the 7.5 km. Athletes can find additional sponges at the start line but none will be available at the sponging stations. Where can I examine the official ranking? The final results will be available on It will be also possible to download the official participation diploma.

5 What if I forget my chip? Those athletes that forget the chip or damage it, will T be timed and therefore included in the final ranking. What shall I do with my chip, at the end of the race? At the end of the race the organization staff will remove the chip. Athletes who will not finish the race or will not give their chip back, must send it to A.S.D. Milano City Marathon Club Via San Marco, Milan Italy. If it will not be sent back, an additional quote of will be charged to repay the loss of the chip. Is there a time limit to complete the race? Maximum time for km: 2h50 Maximum time for 30 km: 3h40 Maximum time to finish the race: 6h00 Beyond these time limits, the organization does not guarantee the total closing of the race course. What does the race kit include? The official Milano City Marathon t-shirt and other products offered by our sponsors. Does the organization provide some pacemakers in charge of helping the runners realize their desired finishing time? Yes, pacers will be offered to run the marathon in: 3h00, 3h15, 3h30, 3h45, 4h00, 4h15, 4h30, 4h45 and 5h00. They will be recognizable by their vest and the coloured balloons they will carry. What happens in case of rain? The race will be held in all weather conditions. What if I decide to withdraw during the race? Those athletes who decide to quit the race at any point during the marathon

6 can make use of the sweep buses dislocated along the course, which will bring the participant to the finish area. And about medical assistance? The organization committee will guarantee an appropriate medical assistance service along the course and in the start and the arrival areas. What does the registration fee include? In the registration fare the following services are included: bib; insurance; technical and medical assistance; official goodiebag including some products offered by our sponsors; official Milano City Marathon technical t-shirt by Mizuno; refreshments and sponge stations along the course; final refreshments after finishing line; official program and other informative materials; timing service; chip rental for race time detection; official participation medal (only for athletes who complete the race); personal clothes transport and deposit service (with special clothing bag); dressing rooms and shower service at Civic Arena; retired athletes transport service to the finishing line.
