1 URBAN CHALLENGE 2018 INSTRUCTIONS 21 st of April, Prague PRE-RACE PREPARATION Please follow the instructions to register quickly and pick up your starting package on the day of the race: 1) Make sure before the race that you have remitted the payment according to the instructions and received a confirmation . 2) Print the Urban Challenge PARTICIPANT S DECLARATION, available from the race web page or HERE. 3) The start list will be displayed on the race web page on Thursday, April 19, ) Please look for your starting number in the start list. Names are listed in alphabetical order. You will find your starting number (BIB) and starting time in the start list. Please complete these data in the Participant s Declaration. 5) Fulfilled form (PARTICIPANT S DECLARATION) will be hand in on the day of the race 6) EVERY PARTICIPANT MUST sign the PARTICIPANT S DECLARATION and produce a valid identity document. If you forget to bring the Declaration with you, please pick up a copy from the information office for a fee of CZK REGISTRATION PROCEDURE ON THE DAY OF THE RACE 1) Proceed for registration with your starting number, a signed Participant s Declaration and identity document. There will be a board featuring starting numbers in the registration area where you will be able to find your starting number in case you forget it. 2) Join the respective line according to your starting number. 3) Racers will be asked to submit their Participant s Declarations. You will receive your starting package after your identity is verified and you submit a Participant s Declaration completed in due form. RACERS FAILING TO SUBMIT THEIR DECLARATION WILL NOT BE ABLE TO ATTEND THE RACE! 4) The starting package (adult, 15+) includes: Starting number (display it visibly on your chest), band and time chip, which is placed on the wrist. The package also contains Urban Challenge sport bottle, Urban Challenge silicone bracelet, Urban Challenge sticker and other items donated from the event s partners. At finish everyone will receive an original medal. Urban Challenge t-shirt is included only in starting package of runners who were registered and paid their starting fee till 30 of November 2017 or paid starting package TOP. 5) The starting package (children) includes: Starting number (display it visibly on your chest), band and time chip, which is placed on the wrist. The package also contains Urban Challenge silicone bracelet, Urban Challenge sticker and other items donated from the event s partners. At finish everyone will receive an original medal. 2 6) STORAGE ROOM. There is an option to deposit your things safely in our storage room. The storage room will be opened from 8:00 to 16:00. The storage room is not liable for any lost or damage items. In starting package, you will receive 2 hand straps for storage room. One of them is staying with you all day, we recommend to put it on your wrist as soon as you will get your starting package. The other one is for your bag, jacket or whatever you want to put into the storage room. Place the hand strap on your things as save as possible so it won t fell. Note: It will be possible to register on the day of the race for: Starting package BASIC CZK 1,190 for individuals, CZK 1,090 for team member (NB: a team contains at least four persons) CZK 1,050 (for team 10+) and CZK 400 for kids till 14 years old. Starting package TOP CZK 1,540 for individuals, CZK 1,440 for team member (NB: a team contains at least four persons) CZK 1,400 (for team 10+) and CZK 550 for kids till 14 years old. Participants who register on the day of the race will be able to run only in the wave determined for them by the organizer. Please come to the starting line in time. You should be aware of your starting time at least 1 day before the race. If you are not sure about your starting time, you are welcome to check it on the web page of Urban Challenge web page or in the place of the race. RACERS WHO WILL START IN A WAVE DIFFERENT FROM THAT THEY HAVE REGISTERED FOR WILL NOT HAVE THEIR TIME MEASURED AND WILL BE DISQUALIFIED!

3 REFRESHMENT STATIONS Two refreshment stations will be situated on the route and will offer water. The first station will be available on the route and the other in the finish area. TO DISCARD ANY WASTE outside the designated refreshment zones IS STRICTLY FORBIDDEN AND LEADS TO DISQUALIFICATION. TIMER You will receive an electronic chip (in the value of CZK 500) and a band for measuring your time and result. Racers who drop out of the race must return the chip. The chip must be placed on the wrist to enable a reliable reading of the signal. If you reach the finish without your chip, please inform the timer operator, who will record your time manually. After reaching the finish: Return the chip to organizers immediately after the finish line. You will receive your medal only after the chip is given back. IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS, YOU MUST PAY CZK 500 TO THE ORGANIZERS IN CASE YOU LOSE THE CHIP. The time of all finishing racers will be shown on the screen and tablets placed near the finish, and on the Urban Challenge web page after the end of the race. ANNOUNCEMENT OF WINNERS Adult categories: 1 st place WOMEN / MEN / TEAM 2 nd place WOMEN / MEN / TEAM 3 rd place WOMEN / MEN / TEAM Only racers registered as individuals are allowed to compete in the individuals category. Racers who wish to compete in this category cannot be registered, at the same time, as a team. It is impossible to win as an Individual and to run as a team at the same time. Similarly, it is impossible to substitute the results from the team category for the results from the individuals category. The total time of a team is based on 3 fastest runners. Results are planned to be announced at 15:00.

Children s categories are divided to three groups, there will be three announcements in total. 5 PHOTOGRAPHS FROM THE RACE Photographs taken during the race will be gradually displayed online on our web pages and Facebook. Photographers will take photographs of all participants at two hurdles. Photographs will be available for download free of charge for 4 days on Urban Challenge web page. You will find your photographs opposite your name in the list of results. Important: To allocate your photographs to your name, you MUST have the starting number placed on your chest; otherwise we cannot guarantee any photographs. ACCOMPANYING PROGRAMME A rich accompanying programme is prepared for you make it easier for you to wait for the start. Watch our web pages and Facebook for any updates. PARKING The start and finish areas of the race, registration and other race facilities will be situated in front of administration building right on the area of Psychiatrická nemocnice Bohnice. We recommend that all runners should use the public transport. Parking is limited in the vicinity and the organizers will not provide any parking lots. Public transport: Bus 1) On your way from centre of Prague to the metro station line C Kobylisy. From there you will go with bus number 177 or 200 (Bohnice direction) to the station Katovická. Bus station is approximately 3 minutes from main entrance to area of Nemocnice Bohnice 2) From station Černý most to metro station Vysočanská. From there use bus number 177 to the station Katovická. Entrance to the area of Nemocnice Bohnice 1) Main entrance to the area of Nemocnice Bohnice is from Ústavní street. 2) The side entrance is from Čimická street SPECTATORS Spectators will be admitted free of charge. Spectators must respect the organizers instructions and stay in the designated zones for spectators. Spectators are allowed to take photographs but must be careful not to endanger other participants health when taking photographs. CHILDREN Association Kouzelný domov will provide child-minding services for children of racers FREE OF CHARGE in the area of the event. A hurdle course will be set up for the little ones FREE OF CHARGE in the spectators zone.

6 SANITARY AND HYGIENIC FACILITIES There will be mobile toilets in the area. As a matter of course, the area will be furnished with changing rooms for men and women. OTHER INFORMATION Dogs must be kept on a lead. Please do not contact the owner of the locality with any questions. Our web and Facebook are the best sources of accurate and updated information. POOR WEATHER AND OTHER CIRCUMSTANCES In the case of very unfavourable weather, natural hazards, organizational or technical difficulties, Urban Challenge reserves the right to change or modify a part or the whole route as well as hurdles or the race as such. The whole race may be cancelled in exceptional circumstances with respect to safety of racers, spectators and organizers. LIST OF RESULTS Continuous results will be shown on the result screen and tablets in the finish area during the race. The list of results will be disclosed on Urban Challenge web page after the race. Complaints regarding the list of results (such as an erroneous name, time, place etc.) can be reported by racers within 30 minutes from the end of the race in person directly to the timer operator. No changes or corrections will be accepted after this deadline. FAIR PLAY Having fun is what matters no saved second or result is worth hurting or damaging anybody. Please behave responsibly to everyone on the route, leave the hurdles area as soon as possible. The stronger can help the weaker. Dangerous behaviour in all forms will not be tolerated and the offending racer will be disqualified immediately. It is forbidden for racers to accept any technical help, health or other benefits from anybody outside the race. ANY CASES OF SHORTENING THE ROUTE WITHOUT HARD EFFORT AND MORE ATTEMPS FOR DEFEATING THE HURDLE WILL BE PUNISHED BY IMMEDIATE DISQUALIFICATION. Do not throw away any waste outside the designated zones at refreshment stations; this is strictly forbidden and punished by disqualification.
