2 The regatta will be governed by the rules: RRS WS with FIV Recommendations and: Orc Rating Systems Rules IMS Rules - WS Offshore Special Regulation for race of Category 3 with the commitment of the liferaft (only for the Offshore race) and for race of category 4 for the Inshore race - for the Division Minialtura WS Offshore Special Regulation Appendix B Normativa vela d Altura FIV 2019 Regulations Sport Activity FIV. For the Offshore Race from 30 minutes before the sunset to 30 minutes after the sunrise will apply the International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea (COLREGs) Notice of Race of NARC If there is a conflict between the rules, the Sailing Instructions shall prevail. 2. ADVERTISING: Advertising will be free according to Class Rules. is free. The Organizing Authority will be able to exposed to all Boats, display stickers and flags with the sponsor s logo supplied. 3. ELIGIBILITY AND ENTRIES: All boats with regular ORC International Measurement Certificate or ORC Club Measurement Certificate (hereinafter referred to as ORC), shall be admitted. The boats will be divided according to the Normativa vela d Altura FIV For the NARC the boats will be divided according with ORC International Rules. MINI ALTURA Sportboat with regular ORC 2019 Measurement Certificate shall be admitted. To constitute the MINIALTURA class a minimum of 5 boats is required. The boats without ORC Certificate (called OPEN), will be admitted only for the Offshore Race and will be divided according to their LWL in the following classes MAXI oltre 15,01 m ZERO da 12,51 a 15,00 m ALFA da 11,01 a 12,50 m BRAVO da 10,01 a 11,00 m CHARLIE da 9,26 a 10,00 m DELTA da 8,51 a 9,25 m ECHO da 7,50 a 8.50 m Boats with LWL less than 7,5 m, will be admitted only with the permission of the Organizing Authority. If the classe doesn t reach the number of 5 boats, a consolidation of different classes will be allowed. The owner of boat must declare in the entry form, under own responsibility the LWL of the boat. The admition of the boat and the consolidation in the classes, will be decided by Organizing Authority. The Organizing Authority will be able to verify the correctness of the data. 4. ENTRY FEE: Inscription will be accepted only with the entry form with the crew list downloaded from the website or if not, the non excepting of the subscription the guarantee of the berth. 3 - Crew list For all events Italian competitors shall submit their FIV license valid for the current year with medical certification. Foreign sailors are admitted. The entry will be perfected no later than am 24 April 2018 for the Offshore Race and no later than pm 25 April for the inshore race. 5. REGATTA SCHEDULE: The race will take place as follows: 24 April Wednesday Ore Briefing 24 April Wednesday Ore Offshore race 26 April Friday Ore Inshore Race 27 April Saturday Ore Inshore Race 28 April Sunday Ore Inshore Race to follow awards On days will be argue one or more regatta in a day for a max of 5 Regattas on all the days. The warning signal is scheduled at pm, except otherwise indication of Committee race. For the 2 and 3 day, variations of the starting time will be communicated with a notice before the pm of the day before. For the day of 28 April the last warning signal will not be exposed after pm 6. CHECK MEASUREMENTS: The Race Committee holds the right to conduct inspections on board boats before and after each race. The boats (ORC minialtura) may have only calibrated sail with the same number of certificate. Foglio 3

SAILING INSTRUCTION: Sailing instruction will be available from Wednesday 24 April COURSES: The course of offshore race will be Lignano San Giovanni in Pelago (CRO) Lignano, different courses may be planned according to weather conditions. The course of inshore race will be windward-leeward. 9. CHANGING NOTICE OF RACE: The Organizing Authority will be able to introduce changes to Notice of race. 10. SCORING AND RACE RESULTS: Offshore Race Will be drawn a Open ranking with all the boats (ORC too) with its LWL, if in a classe there won t be at least 4 boats Organizing Authority will be able to merge the classes. A ranking for boats ORC will be drawn according to the rules and Normativa vela d Altura FIV Inshore race The Regata dei Due Golfi and the Qualification of Italian Championship will be validated if at least will a minimum two inshore race. One discard will be allowed if 4 races are completed. ORC/Minialtura Different classes will be divided according to the Normativa vela d Altura FIV. For both the groups the minimum number in order to constitute a class is of 6 boats. In the absence of the minimum number of boats in one of the two classes Cruise/Race, the boats may be merged into a single class (the most numerous). In the absence of the minimum number of boats in the class Regatta, the boats will be merged into the class Regatta Group A. A general classification will be drawn up for the group A and separately for group B. From these 2 classifications the classes will be extrapolated, and the original score maintained. Should there be insufficient participation (less than 30 boats in total) a single general class will be drawn up (group A + B),that will consider all the boats participating in the event, from this list the classifications of the various classes will be extrapolated and the original score will be maintained. The class ORC and the class MINIALTURA will have different ranking. For Inshore race will be used constructed course Time on Distance. For ranking NARC the boat will be classified as Notice of Race Narc and Rules ORC International, Sportboat will have different ranking (parameters as Notice of Race NARC) with different ranking. 11. PENALTY SISTEM: RRS44.1 is changed to allow boats to take one turn penalty (one tack one jibe) instead of two Foglio 4

5 turns. 12. HOSPITALITY: All boat entered will have to contact Yacht Club Lignano for the free hospitality at Shipyard MARINA PUNTA FARO from 20 April to 6 May For boat that have high draught the free hospitality is planned at Shipyard MARINA SANT ANDREA in San Giorgio di Nogaro (UD), form 20 April to 6 May. The owners will have to contact the shipyard well in advance. Hospitality in different days, the owner will have to contact the shipyard. 13. IMAGE RIGHTS: Crew, shipowners, grant the rights and the permissions to the Authority Organizer to publish photographs, video material of people or boats taken during the event, these may be transmitted, printed, or visualized on every type of media and may be used for advertising or publicising purposes. for every photo, tape and resumption video of people and boats during the event, that can be published transmitted on every media and you use to thin advertising. 14. COMUNICATION: Except in case of emergency the boat may not transmit vocally or by data and may not receive any kind of communications unless available to all boats. 15. PRIZES: OPEN: will be rewarded the 1 place of every class, the 2 place if in the class will be presented 4 boats, the 3 place if in the class will be presented 6 or more boats. ORC: : will be rewarded the 1 place of every class, the 2 place if in the class will be presented 4 boats, the 3 place if in the class will be presented 6 or more boats. Perpetual Trophy Memorial Paolo Burgato (The Trophy with the name winner boats it s kept at the premises of Yacht Club Lignano), is reserved to ORC boats that will have participated at both race offshore and inshore. The rules will be specified in the sailing instructions. The awards will be perform after the regatta, the time and the place will be communicated with a notice. The Organizing Authority will be able to decide to award additional prizes, that will be communicated with a notice. 16. RESPONSABILITY: Competitors participate in the regatta entirely at their own risk. See Rule 4 Decision to Race of RR WS and Rule of WS Offshore Special Regulations. The Organizing Authority will not accept any liability for material damage or personal injury or death sustained in conjunction with or prior to, during, or after the regatta. Foglio 5

6 The shipowners have the responsability to choose if partecipate or not on the basis of the ability of the crew and the wind strength, the sea state, the weather forecast. As a result of a serious misconduct, the jury will be able to exclude the competitor and take any other action within its jurisdiction as provided by the rules. This rule will be applied through all event not only in the race. 17. INSURANCE: Each participating boat shall be insured with valid third-party liability insurance with a minimum cover of Euro ,00 as provided by the FIV General Regulation. 18. RADIO VHF TRACKING: Boats taking part to the regatta shall have on board a VHF transceiver in working order at least on channels 9, 16, 69, 72, 73 and 74. Special radio detectors for a Tracking Online service (offshore race) may be installed on boats, at the expense of the Organization, in accordance with the Privacy law Art. 20 of Law n. 675/96, which allows the transfer of data to Yacht Club Lignano and for the sole purpose of sending information.
