At the same time a fast cruiser that is both easy to sail short handed and comfortable for extended family cruises. Capable of enduring in tough offshore and trans-ocean race conditions; stylish enough to be the centre of attention at premier sailing locations in the Mediterranean and round the world. It s a simple idea: Fast and Easy. The best of two worlds ready to win races or to cruise in comfort and all at a realistic price. With the potential to win races both on the water and on corrected time under IRC; to win hearts and minds with stylish design and attention to every detail on deck and below. It s the idea of two experienced owners who started a search for their ideal yacht and instead found a new market niche, not addressed by other boat builders. Jason Ker, mastermind of the startling America s Cup 2007 entry Team Shosholoza and of leading IRC yachts such as Aera and Magic Glove, accepted the challenge and came up with the blue print of this perfect boat. To be fast and exhilarating to sail, to win races under IRC against allcomers and at the same time to be safe and comfortable for performance cruising were the key elements in the owners brief.

The challenge Jason Ker had to face when asked to come up with the concept for the new C/R was much more complex. To be fast and exhilarating to sail, to win races under IRC against allcomers and at the same time to be safe and comfortable for performance cruising were the key elements in the owners brief. An enhancement of Magic Glove, a 50 ft. KER design from 2006 renowned for her dominance on the race course, taking advantage of America s Cup technology, such as tank testing and CFD analysis and the latest in interior design thinking from DESIGN UNLIMITED, the concept for the C/R was born: An advanced high-tech and stylish 16 meter cruiser-racer with genuine dual purpose capability. The carbon/epoxy hull and deck forms together with the race sail package are designed for speed; the interior is designed for cruising in style and comfort. Radical, yes. But also light and practical. Fully equipped with the latest carbon rig and state of the art deck hardware, the C/R is the ultimate no compromise ready to sail package.
