1 No.2011.DEC1.SB-010 SUBJECT: Surf Tab Adjustment CONDITION: MasterCraft Boat Company has determined that on 200V and X-2 boats manufactured in 2012 built through MBC3RDF6L112 and equipped with the optional surf tab, the tab may not fully retract. (See photo to right.) This will not affect the boat performance, but it is possible that individuals using the swim platform to enter water while the boat is stationary could potentially cut themselves on the tab. To ensure this does not happen, the tab should be relocated so that it will full retract. All boats affected are listed at the end of this Service Bulletin. WARRANTY FLAT RATE CODE AND TIME: hr. PARTS REQUIRED: One (1) PST and one (1) SST Ten (10) coarse thread screws TOOLS REQUIRED: Screw gun with #3 Phillips head Rubbing alcohol Towel Plastic scraper Caulk gun White or black silicon (determined by hull color) Heat gun

2 No.2011.DEC1.SB-010 (Page 2) PROCEDURE: Step 1: Remove the port and starboard surf tab actuator pins and the two (2) plastic spacers on each side. Step 2: Move the actuator out of the way in order to reach the surf tab mounting screws. (Photo is shown with the swim platform removed. This procedure can be done without removing the platform. You will need to work beneath it, but there should be adequate room to do so.)

Step : The previous application of silicone must be completely cleaned off to ensure proper seal on the new surf tabs. Rubbing alcohol and a plastic scraper are recommended avoid sharp objects to remove the silicone as damage may occur to the gel coat. Gel coat repairs due to this type of damage will not be reimbursed in this warranty claim.

4 No.2011.DEC1.SB-010 (Page ) Step 5: Prepare the mating surface with rubbing alcohol and allow drying time. Step 6: Identify the etched marking on each new surf tab PST will be used on the port side, and SST will be used on the starboard side.
