3 It s an ideal starting point for liveaboard trips in the Red Sea! 3 Welcome to the sunshine! The Red Sea offers a perfect starting point for a diving safari. No other diving paradise is reachable in this short time (4,5 hours flight). Season is the whole year. The best way to become acquainted with the Red Sea is a Safari. A diving safari for sure is the most impressive adventure in the life of a diver. Sleeping, living, eating and relaxing on board, the sea always handy under you. this is a dream of each diver. In the night view the fantastic starry sky this is pure safari! Because of its interesting and nearly unique geographic position the Red Sea belongs to one of the most fascinating dive sites of the world. In the midst of huge shoals, fishes and colorful coral reefs you will be inspired from the spectacular variety of marine life. Passport and flight time The information from the passports should be present in the office of SEAWOLF Diving Safari one week before departure. The following declarations are required: name first name nationality passport number flight number time of arrival and departure copy of the passport. Make sure that the passport is valid for at least 6 months. In case of non observance we don t take liability if there are any delays of the departure. Our safari boats bring you weekly to the Brother Islands or deep in the south of the Red Sea, for example St. John s, Zabargad and Rocky Island. Most of the time you can find there shoals of barracudas, sharks, rays, dolphins, huge turtles and mantas. Friends of wreck-diving will prefer the North Tour.

4 Arrival & residence 4 Arrival at the airport The tour leader of SEAWOLF Diving Safari will welcome you with a sign of SEAWOLF or with a sign of your travel company. He will care about your visa (stamp) that will be paste in your passport. After the check of the entry authority you go to the luggage claim. The tour leader will ask you for the number of your flight back home and the time of departure, to reconfirm the flight after your holidays. After you get your luggage he will bring you to the air conditioned bus, to go to the boat or to the diving center of SEAWOLF. If the transfer to the boat will leave in the evening you can start your holiday with a sun bath, swimming or just relaxing on the beach of the Diving Centre. Stay on the boat As soon as you arrive at the landing place you will go on board. There you have to put off your shoes for the whole stay on board (don t forget warm socks or sailing shoes). After that put your dive equipment in your dive box and clear away the rest of your luggage in the cabin. The crew will store the empty suitcases until your departure. One small and one big bath towel are available in all cabins. Both will be changed during the safari. During the cold season there is also a bathing robe for each customer. In the evening your responsible tour guide will make a briefing about the boat, safety, diving and give you general information. Check in and check out on the boat Of course we need time to load the boats, to clean and do small maintenance partly. We ask for your comprehension that at the arrival day the check in cannot be before 06:00 p.m. and the check out 10:00 a.m. at the latest. If you check in before 06:00 p.m. please have appreciation if the crew is still cleaning or loading the boat. Because of organizational or technical reasons perhaps (very rare) you have to stay in a hotel for the last night as our guest.

5 Cabins, salon & furnishings 5 Salon To enter the salon or the cabins with dive equipment is prohibited, please don t wear wet swimming clothes in the salon. Cabins Each cabin has portholes. Please make sure that they are closed during travelling. Valuables such as computers, cameras or phones stash in the closet, so that at any water leaks this does not come to harm. Here in Egypt there is no corresponding insurance, so there can be no refund. possible most of time or you will be molest by dirt and bad smell. Besides the paper is drifting on the reefs and disturbs the pleasure of diving. Please use sparingly soap and shower gel because the waste water goes directly in the sea. In some shops you can find already biodegradable products. Language The crew on the boat is speaking english partly, our dive guides usually speaks german and english as well. Sleeping on the deck In case you want to sleep on the deck you should bring a sleeping bag and earflaps with you. It is not allowed to bring mattresses out of the cabin but you can use a mattress on the sun deck. Smoking on the boat There is no smoking in the salon and in the cabins fundamental. Please use the available ash-trays and don t throw the stub over board. Bathrooms and toilets Please don t throw toilet paper or any other sanitary rubbish into the toilet. Use the basket beside, because the toilet can be stopped up. To fix it during the safari is not

6 Creature comforts & diving 6 Food on board There are 3 meals per day served as a buffet on board. The breakfast used to consist of bread, toast, pancakes, jam, honey, different variation of eggs, yoghurt, nescafe and tea. For the main meal there will be served chicken, beef or fish, as garnishing rice, noodles, potatoes and different kinds of vegetables and salads. For dessert we offer pudding, cakes or fruits. During the safari there is nescafe, tea, water, Cola, Sprite and juices available free of charge. Not included are drinks in cans and alcoholic liquors. It is not allowed to bring own beer, but there will be enough beer and wine on board. Diving From each diver we need an actual diving brevet, the logbook and a medical statement (maximum 1 year old). On the boat you choose your own dive requirement. As early riser you have the possibility for an Early Morning Dive. After common breakfast you start to the famous drop off reefs in the Red Sea and to reefs which are really secret. In the afternoon there are wrecks on the order of the day as well as glamorous labyrinths, mysterious caves and magnificent underwater gardens. If this is not enough you can end the day in a cozy night dive. The catering starts with the dinner on the first day and ends with the breakfast on the last day. Health On board you will find only reduced medicine. Please bring your own small first aid with you. Make sure that the medication is sociable for diving. Every participant must have a travel-health insurance we should have the agency and insurance-no. before arrival.

7 Diving at Marine Parks & Brother Islands 7 Start-Harbour On every SEAWOLF Boats the care on board and under water is carried out by a professional tour guide. All of them have a know how in the Red Sea for many years and know the reefs very well. Detailed briefings from the guide makes it possible to discover the dive sites independent with your buddy. Safaris to Brother Islands Hurghada or Marsa Ghaleb Safaris to Marine-Park-Tours Hurghada or Marsa Ghaleb Safaris to the South-, Deep South / St. John`s Tours - Marsa Ghaleb Safaris to the North-Tours Hurghada For diving we have aluminium tanks with DIN Valves (INT-Adapter on board) and also enough lead. All other equipment you have to bring with you (don t forget the weight belt). For the suits there are dress-hanger. The BCD will be fixed on the tank during the safari. TRANSFER TIMES from Airport Hurghada to Marsa Ghaleb round about 3 hours. From Airport Marsa Alam to Marsa Ghaleb round about 10 min. Diver with less dives are diving in a small group with experienced divers or the dive guide. Brother Islands and Marine Park Tour For the underwater national park (Brother Islands, Daedalus, Rocky Island and Zabargad) there are 50 logged dives required. Night dives are generally not allowed. As well to step on to the Island Zabargad and Rocky Island is prohibited. The national park fee for Brother Islands is 50 Euro, for the Marine Park Tour 80 Euro. The fee will be collected suburban.

8 Additional equipment & safety 8 Safety during diving Decompression dives are prohibited on principle and the max. dive-depth is 40 meter. For emergency there are four 50 litre tanks with oxygen and accessories and medic first aid equipment. We recommend to sign a special insurance that includes the rescue, costs for Decompression Chamber and the transportation to your home. On board you can make a deco insurance which costs 10 Euro. All SEAWOLF-Boats are equipped with the safety and rescue system ENOS. The training for the Nitrox Basic Certificate (Level 1 + 2) can be taken on board during the holidays. Please register in advance. If Nitrox is not available because of technical reasons, there is no refund. Internet We offer free internet connection on all our boats. The connection depends on the telephone network. ENOS Safety on board In your cabin you will find life jackets, on deck there are inflatable rescue islands. In the salon, the engine room and in all cabins there are fire-extinguisher for emergency. Additionally all the boats have radio and telephones. On all our boats diving with ENOS is for free. The ENOS-System provides 100% safety. If there is a strong current and you drift away, just activate your ENOS-Transmitter and your position will be transferred directly to the boat via satellite. Nitrox On all the boats of SEAWOLF Diving Safari it s possible to dive Nitrox 32 for free with 12 liter tanks. For Nitrox 32 you don t need special equipment. Nitrox analyzer is available on board.

9 Equipment & departure 9 Diving Courses On all boats of the SEAWOLF Fleet you can book courses: Lending fees Complete equipment: 110,- /week (ABC, BCD, regulator, wetsuite) Pro NRC-Nitrox Course: 130 Euro incl. book, dive table and certification PADI AOWD Course: 130 Euro, certification + 60 Euro, AOWD Book BCD: Regulator: Wetsuite: Lamp: 35,- /week 35,- /week 35,- /week 30,- /week Dive equipment On all boats there is usually one complete spare equipment. You cannot buy spare parts during the safari, please bring corresponding spare parts like straps for fins, o-rings for your regulator with you. SeaLife-Camera incl. light: Computer: 99,- /week 35,- /week 12 l double-tank: 70,- /week 15 l-tank: 40,- /week All tanks with DIN Valve (INT-Adapter on board). PRESCRIBED FOR EACH DIVER: Diving computer or depth gauge and watch, a signal buoy as well as a diving lamp. The regulator must have an alternate air source. You can rent dive equipment, torches and computer if you order it before. Because these things have no insurance you are responsible for loss or damage. Departure In the afternoon one day before departure the boat will enter the harbor. The luggage will be brought from the storage to prepare all your personal things very calmly. 10 Regulations & Prices 10 SEAWOLF Diving Safari. Weather - and water temperature Apart from the winter months (December, January, February) it is warm and dry. During the winter period most of time it is necessary to have a pullover or windcheater don t forget the earflaps. The lowest water temperature is 19 degrees centigrade (February) the highest sometimes 30 degrees centigrade (August, September). Legal Regulations Hunting, fishing, collection or breaking off corals is forbidden To throw things like for example rubbish, oil, grease and so on is forbidden. There is a generally ban on anchoring in protected territories. In case of ignorance there is high fine or even arrest possible.

11 Prices & innovation 11 PAYABLE ON BOARD Service-charge, visa, dive permission and taxes 43 Euro (Red Sea Highlights-Tour 68 Euro) By prior stay in a hotel we will cut from this amount the visa fee (25 $) General information for travelling to Egypt As like in all arabic countries the hospitality has a high priority, that s why from all visitors is expected that they follow and respect the rules of an arabic country. Samadai-Marine-Park-Fee) Beer and wine Tips Latest innovation We reserve the right to increase the fuel surcharge at a further price increase of diesel or gasoline. Currently, the fuel surcharge is 30 Euro per person / safari (October 2014) Payment on board It is possible to pay cash in Euro, $ or Egyptian Pounds. We don t accept credit cards. Tips for the crew To avoid discussions about the amount of the tips there is the following recommendation. If you are please with the service and the crew the tip should be around 40 Euro per guest/week.
