Use pper hoses ad fittigs. It is recommeded to use quick chage coupligs direly o the tool. Tool vibrat may cause damage or tool failure. Istead, use a lead hose that ca coe direly to the tool, ad a coe couplig betwee the air supply ad hose. 0. Check the hoses r wear or defes bere each use. Make certai that all coes are secure.. Do use stadard sockets. 3. Always fiish tighteig wheel uts or egie parts with a torque wrech or suitable spaer to the corre torque as recommeded by the vehicle maufaurer.. Always avoid excessive use of the impa wrech. Whe tighteig a ut or bolt, ever allow the wrech to impa more tha 8 times. This is to avoid overtighteig. 3 to impas is ormally sufficiet. 5. Terms used thughout this maual are Cubic Feet per Miute (CFM) ad Pouds per Square Ich (PSI).. Use oly clea, dry, regulated compressed air as the power source.. Make sure that the air compressor beig used r the tool operat supplies the corre output (CFM). 3. Have the tool i the "off" posit whe coeig the tool to the air supply.. How to istall/tighte threaded fasteers Push the F/R valve stem (F) rward as idicated by "F" marked o the housig. Press the trigger (C). The the tool avil (B) rus clockwise. (See Figure 5). 6 OTE This tool features a power regulator valve. Press the air regulatig kob (D) dowward ad the slowly tur it either clockwise or couterclockwise to have either of settigs poitig at the triagle mark o the housig. The settigs,, 3, are oly r referece ad do dee a specific power output. "Settig " is the least amout of power while "Settig " is most amout of power. Tubleshoig Tool rus slowly or will operate. POSSIBLE CAUSE. Grit or gum i the tool.. o oil i the tool. 3. Low air pressure.. Air hose leaks. 5. Pressure dps. Figure 7 CORRECTIVE ACTIO. Flush the tool with air tool oil or gum solvet.. Lubricate the tool. 3. a. Adjust the regulator o the tool to the maximum settig if available. b. Adjust the compressor regulator to the tool maximum of 90 PSI/.3 bar.. Tighte ad seal hose fittigs if leaks are ud. Use sealig tape. 5. a. Be sure the hose is the pper size. Log hose or tools usig large volumes of air may require a hose with a I.D. of / i. or larger dedig o the tal legth of the hoses. b. Do use a multiple umber of hoses coeed together with quickcoe fittigs. This causes addital pressure dps ad reces the tool power. Direly coe the hoses together.. Have qualified techicia rlace the r blade. 7. Drai water fm tak. (See the air compressor maual). Oil the tool ad cotiue ruig it util o water is evidet. Oil the tool agai ad ru r - secods. PROBLEM G OTE This tool also features a grease cap (G) o the tool body. Remove the screw i the grease cap with a hex key ( pvided). Use a grease gu ( icluded) ad isert the gu ozzle ito the grease cap. Several dps of grease are recommeded r lubricat. After lubricat, rlace the screw secure ad tight. This will pre the r gears of mor assembly i good workig codit ad exted tool life. Lubricate the r gears oce every workig day. (See Figure 7). Wor r blade. 7. Moisture blowig out of the tool exhaust. Care ad Maiteace A i-lie oiler is recommeded to be istalled o air supply lie as it icreases tool life ad kes the tool i sustaied operat. The i-lie oiler should be regularly checked ad filled with air-tool oil. Pper adjustmet of the i-lie oiler is perrmed by placig a sheet of paper ext to the tool's exhaust ports ad holdig the thrtle ope appximately 30 secods. The i-lie oiler is pperly set whe a light stai of oil colles o the paper. Excessive amouts of oil should be avoided. I the evet that it becomes ecessary to store the tool r a exteded perd of time, it should receive a geeus amout of lubricat at that time. The tool should be ru r appximately 30 secods to esure oil has bee evely distributed thughout the tool. The tool should be stored i a clea ad dry evimet. Recommeded lubricats: use air-tool oil or ay her high-grade turbie oil cotaiig moisture absorbet, rust ihibitors, metal wettig agets ad a EP (extreme pressure) additive.
