The coditios should be adjusted as ecessary accordig to the actual coditios of machied shape, purpose, machie used, etc. I geeral, water-soluble or oil-based coolat should be used to esure chip removal. Always use with a G83 program (Peck drillig cycle). Uder-eck legth (R2) coforms to through-hole drillig depth. Whe drillig through holes, drill the through hole to a depth of betwee 20% ad 30% of the diameter from the tip of the tool. 6 EMSBS How to use Epoch Micro Borer Cautio poits whe machiig About pilot holes Use of the special starter is recommeded. *Particularly whe drillig high-accuracy holes, please use the special starter. Always perform step drillig usig a G83 program. Hole depth: Be sure to drill to a depth of 60% of the diameter. (Ex.: For Ø0.1, depth=0.06mm) Use step drillig. Depth Drill to 60% of diameter. About coolats I geeral, oil-based or water-soluble coolats are recommeded. Whe usig, set it up so that the coolat hits the flute tips. About machiig programs Always perform drillig usig a G83 program (Peck drillig cycle). Recommeded referece positio: 0.05 to 0.1mm. However, for aspect ratios of greater tha 50D, the positio should be set as 30% of the tool diameter below the surface of the work. (Ex.: For Ø1 100mm uder eck legth, referece positio = -0.3mm) Recommeded approach distace: 0.05mm *Chage accordig to the machie parameter settig scree. If these values are large, machiig time may become loger. About fast rates Whe the uder eck legth is log, if the fast rate is too fast, bit may be broke. Recommeded: 20m/mi. or less (for greater tha 30D, 5m/mi. or less) Whe focusig o accuracy for hole depths of 30D or greater Approach distace Referece positio Drillig accuracy ca be further improved by isertig 10D before drillig after drillig with a starter.
