2 Introducing OMS WeldChecker Pipe Inspection Tools The WeldChecker inspection tool consists of a high resolution camera for visual inspection and a laser sensor to measure features and defects. Features that can be inspected include: misalignment, or HiLo root weld concavity root weld penetration root weld face width root weld re-entrant angle The camera will identify: weld and adjacent parent material discoloration surface features such as weld spatter and pitting surface porosity and defects surface cracking Tool deployment methods: push rods pull through wire internal crawler systems attach to line up clamp

3 See, measure, quantify. Verification of your welds. OMS has developed a suite of WeldChecker tools - the most advanced non-contact metrology pipeline inspection solution available. WeldChecker can be deployed within the pipeline where it will carry out a remote inspection, providing inspectors with the visual and dimensional data required to complete a full assessment. The WeldChecker uses advanced, high definition digital cameras coupled with industrial quality LED lighting to ensure that all features are easily viewed and inspected. The process can capture up to 200 overlapping images which offer a complete and detailed picture from within the pipeline. The high resolution laser stripe relays dimensional data to an accuracy of 0.05mm. By combining both visual inspection and laser measurement processes to record dimensional data, the WeldChecker can provide a detailed inspection report in real-time, allowing qualified inspectors to sentence the weld. In the event of problems being detected, a solution can be formulated and implemented immediately. WeldChecker can be deployed in to pipelines of varying internal diameter, and is remotely operable. With a battery life of up to 12 hours, this versatile and adaptable tool is the ultimate in pipeline inspection.

5 The OMS Auga is a groundbreaking new internal weld inspection tool specifically designed to examine and measure the quality of internal girth welds in detail in the firing line. Auga can be attached directly to an internal line-up clamp (ILUC) and provides unrivalled dimensional accuracy. Depending on the welding contractor s specific application, the Auga can be configured to measure and report on a range of different weld attributes in the firing line. The operator can be alerted to features such as lack of root penetration, HiLo, re-entrant angle, concavity, cracking, undercut and incomplete fusion.
